Welcome to our family retreat in the mountains on the north end of Winter Park. Set in the prestigious Rendezvous neighborhood, this luxurious townhome with western charm has been beautifully furnished with high-end aspen and leather furniture. Abundant windows, a deck/patio containing a luxurious PRIVATE HOT TUB, and a balcony displaying gorgeous views of snowcapped Byers Peak and a protected open meadow where moose frequently stroll. Arapahoe National Forest and the old Idlewild Ski Area with miles of hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, running, and biking trails are just steps from the front door. The FREE Rendezvous Ski Shuttle stops just steps away from the front door and goes directly to Winter Park Resort from Rendezvous.
With approximately 1600 square feet of living space and high-speed digital cable WiFi WIRELESS INTERNET, no detail has been overlooked. The GARAGE allows for a snow-free car and plenty of gear storage, including a ski rack.
The main level contains the kitchen, with its beautiful granite countertops, and a complete selection of utensils, dishes, and appliances that any gourmet chef would appreciate. The kitchen has a bar with barstools and opens to a large great room with vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous stone FIREPLACE, and the dining area, which has an aspen table that seats eight. The great room has a large screen flat-panel LCD TV and HD cable service and DVD. The master suite is on this level with an aspen log KING 4-poster bed, private bath, and views of Byers Peak and the open meadow. There is also a half bath and a roomy deck with striking views, which opens to the great room.
The lower level has a separate living area with a large screen flat-panel LCD TV with HD cable service. A deck opens off of the living area, which contains a private hot tub (absolutely essential after a day on the slopes!) and a wagon wheel bench. There is a laundry room with a frontloading washer/ dryer. One of the bedrooms on this level has an aspen log KING bed and the second bedroom contains a large FULL-OVER-FULL aspen log bunk bed. There is also a double vanity bathroom with shower/ tub combo.
Rendezvous itself is a beautiful neighborhood with numerous walking trails, a covered pavilion with an outdoor stone fireplace and four charcoal grills, a kid’s playground, a pristine pond with a fire pit on its banks, and the Fraser River flowing through. The new Grand Park Community Recreation Center is now open just across from Rendezvous. The Rec Center is a 48,000 sf facility, which will include a tot pool, lazy river, waterslide, lap pool, aerobics studio, weight room, gymnasium, walking/running track, climbing wall and more.
Activities: Winter Park and Grand County have numerous activities during any season. Besides the world-class skiing and snowboarding, there is a tubing hill, numerous cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails (including just out the front door of our townhome!), horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowmobiling, dog sledding, gold medal fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, theater, shopping, and so much more!
