Minutes to all Cashiers has to offer - shopping, mountain hikes, golf & tennis, Lake Glenville and fine restaurants, including our very own on property - The Orchard.
Amenities include: granite countertop wet bar and small refrigerator for cocktails, complimentary morning coffee, flat screen television, fireplace, tiled shower tub and granite counter vanity, fine linens for the bed and bath, beautiful rugs adorning the hardwood floors, and best of all, a short walk to a fine meal at The Orchard Restaurant. Or we'll bring it to you to enjoy on your private porch!

Year Purchased: 2008
Brothers Chad and Travis Boswell have been renovating buildings for over fifteen years, bringing historic (and non-historic) structures back to their former glory. Their latest project happens to be in the backyard of their popular restaurant, The Orchard, and is now ready for guests to enjoy while visiting the beautiful village of Cashiers. When not serving good food at the restaurant, both Chad and Travis enjoy the area's abudance of hiking trails. They are willing to share with you some of their favorite hikes.
Why the Owner Chose Cashiers
Having grown up in Cashiers, it wasn't until Chad and Travis both left for college and lived thereafter in the "real world" did they realize how wonderful the Southern Blue Ridge region really is. After "retiring" from their respective careers and moving back to Cashiers, the brothers renovated a historic farmhouse to open a restaurant. As many of the seasonal residents who have turned into full-timers can also attest, Cashiers has proven to be a wonderful place to live. Those who visit will quite possibly become attracted to stay a little longer in the area, as Chad and Travis' parents did many years ago.

We love the Cashiers/Highlands area of NC...and adore the Orchard Restaurant, which has some of the best food in the area...hands down. On this trip, it was just the two of us, so a house seemed too much, but there is a single, solitary cottage right behind the Orchard Restaurant, overlooking the flower garden. Everything is new..bathroom, stacked rock fireplace, queen sized bed with quality linens, mini-frig for wine and cheese(Orchard restaurant is byob), comfy sofa and chair facing the fireplace, great lighting. It's just such a jewel...I told someone with whom we were dining about it, and what it cost($130)...she exclaimed, "You couldn't stay in the Hampton Inn for that!" I know. WHile I want to keep it my secret, it is now yours. OH, and you can have the Orchard bring your dinner over, and enjoy it on your screened porch when the weather is warm. How great it that??

This was a beautiful cottage, well appointed and very comfortable. We had dinner on the porch and it was a delightful experience. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this cottage.

We had a very stress free weekend at "The Orchard" We were very comfortable with cottage. All the small stuff was there and the staff of the restaurant was most helpful. The area had some nice shops and the entire area had a number of attractions. A short distance away is Brevard which has some very nice eating establishments that we enjoyed. Would stay again .

My wife and I were celebrating our 32nd anniversary. We discovered this cottage last summer while dining at the restuarant associated with it. It was charming, meticulously prepared and convient to Cashiers. It was a little too cool to dine on the screen porch during this visit but our next one will surely include that experience as well. It was quiet and out of the way even though it was adjacent to the restuarant. We will return in the future

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the cottage during the holidays! What a wonderful place! The property is very charming and the owners are wonderful hosts. This property is one of the best kept secrets in Cashiers! The Orchard Restaurant is one of our favorite places to dine so staying on the property was very special!

The property was just as described, clean, comfortable and attractive.The location is great, a short drive from anything you want to do.Having our dinner deliverd and served by the fireplace in the cottage was wonderful. My wife and I have stayed at the Orchard Cottage on four different occasions. We have, and still do frequent Cashiers often over the last 25 years. Must say it wasn't until the cottage at The Orchard Reataurant became available, that we felt our visits are so complete and comfortable. We absolutely enjoy visiting Cashiers and staying at The Orchard Cottage. The convience of having a fine restaurant on property is a real plus. Another perk is to have our meals, on occasion served to us on the screen porch at our cottage. Not take out--but served to us using china ware, etc. as in the restaurant. The owners, Chad and Travis have a certain way of making us feel welcome. We return because of the high caliber operation, and always being made to feel welcome.

my husband and i have stayed at the cottage several times...each stay has been exceptional! the cottage is roomy, comfortable and well decorated - huge bathroom :), and great fireplace. our hosts are always charming and helpful. being able to dine off the orchard menu on the back porch is a definite advantage - very romantic! would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to any of our friends.
