  Melodia Grand far exceeded our expectations! The pictures don't do it justice. We celebrated a 70th birthday with family and friends there and everyone was thrilled with the accommodations. We all had our own private bedroom with en suite bath but enjoyed spending time together and celebrating in the huge upstairs living area. We had the birthday dinner catered and the chef loved the huge kitchen and amenities. The gated street is charming and quiet with only 3 houses and plenty of space between each. From the start (being greeted by a special bottle of private label wine!) to the end (one last walk on the sugar white sand of the private beach) it was a magnificent experience!

  Melodia Grand was absolutely perfect for our family get away! The house is beautiful and in such a great location. We were safe and secluded in our gated enclave shared by only 2 other homes, while conveniently located to great shops and restaurants in Seaside and Rosemary Beach. The unobstructed sunset views over the gulf from the large wrap around upper deck were stunning. The kitchen is very spacious and well stocked. Our family enjoyed staying in, cooking meals and relaxing in the lovely surroundings. The 3 bedrooms downstairs each have their own full private baths. We didn't want to leave and will certainly be back!

  After staying at Melodia Grand for the first time many years ago we have ruled out vacationing any other place other than 30A and this incredible house on the gulf. You can tell the owners care and it never feels like a rental but more like a blessing. It has it all, aesthetic and functional - we have never found a vacation place that affords everything you could want when getting away for the perfect annual break from reality. As an author its many private spaces offers places to reflect and write while others go about their fun. We return year after year because we love it...and we will return home to Melodia Grand same time next year! Sunsets, sand and serenity!

  2nd time to Melodia Grand and it just keeps getting better. The private gated security was really nice and safe feeling. Proximity to Seaside & Rosemary is important for our favorite restaurants and shopping as well as tennis & biking. Large kitchen & great room made it perfect for our families whether we stayed @ the house and cooked our favorite Italian Lasagna or watched the BCS finals. With 3 mostly the same masters downstairs and a bunk room and library upstairs we all seem to still get naps in when needed. Weather was not always perfect but when it was being just 100 yards from the private beach walk is really nice. Our favorite thing to do is just relax on the porch and watch and listen to the waves.

  Upon extensive research we chose this house because it "boasts" a "gourmet kitchen" a favorite of Emerill Lagasse. Being that we were staying there for Thanksgiving, we said, that's a winner! Well, it was a disappointment from the moment we arrived. Various emails have been exchanged with the handlers of this property, they say things have been fixed and or updated. It does nothing for us, but maybe it will help future guests. Everything from the "state" of the home, to our dinner being ruined, we were not satisfied at all. There is a very dated picture of Emerill in the Kitchen. We know this because the countertops are not the same. I was offered a 20% discount on future rentals...does me no good.

  Owner response: Thank you for your comments. We greatly appreciate feedback and as we mentioned in our personal emails with you - we work very hard to rectify things for current guests and future guests. We only wish you had mentioned any one of these things to us during your stay - so we might have been able to rectify them. In the past, we've gone as far as to bring in new refrigerators when one wasn't working properly and certainly would have done the same for you with the oven - especially since it was Thanksgiving! Unfortunately, we couldn't go back - which is why we did offer you the 20% discount on a future rental (Sandpiper manages 60+ properties in the area). We do hope you'll come back. For our future guests - we were in the cottage immediately after hearing about this and the replaced the stove. In addition to this, we have been touching up paint and replacing items that were showing wear and tear. We do this annually in the off season. As for the picture of Emeril in the kitchen - he was in fact a frequent guest at Melodia Grand and loved the area so much that he bought a place of his own close by and has been known to do cooking presentations in Seaside. The picture is dated - as I'm sure many picture throughout a house can be - but the kitchen actually boasts even better granite counter tops now. Again - we are terribly sorry for your problems during your stay. To our future guests - please let us know the minute you have a problem so that we might help you during your stay. Thank you again!

  Just wanted to let you know Mark that we had a great time at the Melodia Grand. The house was perfect. The high ceiling makes the large house feel even bigger. Large living, dining and kitchen area is perfect for large families to gather. We had 4 adults and 8 children stay at the house and we never felt overcrowded. The house also felt very safe. The private road is great. Did not have to worry about having to keep the car door locked at all times or passers by getting near the house. While not directly on the beach, the view from the balcony is great and the beach is only a few steps away. My only disappointment when we arrived was that the pool was smaller than we expected but it worked out fine. Kids loved it and used it all the time. The overall experience was nothing short of 5 star. Sincerely, Andrei

  We have stayed here for our last 4 trips to the area. This is definitely our favorite. The house is huge with plenty of room to spread out. The new mattresses in the 3rd downstairs bedroom are great. The air conditioning is sufficient-which we have found not to be the case in several places we have stayed. Great for people with dogs. Best of all is how close it is from the beach. We love that it is in a less crowded area, yet is in bike-riding distance from Seaside.

  Melodia Grand is a lovely house in a very nice location. We were hoping for a little better view of the beach, but at least we could see the water and when all was quiet we could hear the waves. The beach access was wonderful, as was the beach chair/umbrella service. The three downstairs bedrooms were wonderful and comfortable with a personal bath for each. The day bed and bunk beds were very hard and uncomfortable, and there were no bathrooms accessible to them. The kitchen seemed well stocked, however the stove was temperamental. We also enjoyed using the charcoal grill for several meals. Our section of the beach was not as crowded as any others, and we liked being close to Eastern Lake. Thank you for maintaining such a lovely home and making it available to us for rent.
