Great House South of 30A on a private street

We loved our fall vacation at Melodia Grand. The house really is Grand. The large living room that opens to the ample kitchen and dining is wonderful with great views of the beautiful water. We had 3 couples here, but the house would be great for a couple of families to rent together as well. The balconies are huge with great views. It is just steps to the beach down a gated and very private street. The house also had a kayak that we enjoyed using. What a perfect location! Close to the action in Seaside, but away from the crowds. The house is clean and well equipped, even had a wine chiller. We look forward to renting this house again.

Wonderful in every way

After staying here 3 years in a row, we feel this is our home away from home. Thanks for leaving the kayak for renters to use. We took it out to the little lake that is just to the east. The house is very comfortable and has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and is well-equipped. We all agree that this is the best place we have stayed on the gulf.

Great Summer vacation

We just returned from our vacation in Seagrove at 22 melodia, what a place! Very private gated community, very safe and private easy access to the beach! The house is well laid out and perfect for a family! The location is right between Rosemary and Seaside, which gives you easy access to allot of great restaurants both ways without living amongst all the traffic. The house was extremely clean, and had everything we needed for the perfect stay! We'll be back again! Hopefully next year.

The Relaxers

Mark, we really enjoy the Melodia Grand. This has been our third year to stay there. We love the location and the privacy. However, this year we did have a few concerns. The floors were not well cleaned, and there was still laundry in the dryer and dishes in the dish washer. FYI the mattresses could use some attention. The only real comfortable one is the one in the 2nd master room. The main master is so so, but the ones with the 2 double beds are in bad shape. The springs can be felt thru the mattress. I highly recommend attention to these. The bunk beds are not that great too. A night or two is OK, but when you are there for 6 or 7 nights it becomes uncomfortable. We also had some kind of bed bugs. Everyone would wake up with bites. The guest with me asked me to let you know about this. I really feel bad about telling you, but I think you need to know this for your future guests. We will continue to stay with you and hope that you do give these matters the attention needed.

With regards to the bed bugs - they were in fact sand flies and the house has been treated for this as well. We have also addressed the cleaning issues with our housekeepers and trust your next stay will be perfect in every way. We had a great time in this house. It had everything we needed and the short walk to the beach was fantastic. The water was clear and beautiful and the sunsets amazing from the porch. Great location! We will be back.

Family vacation

We had a great time at Melodia Grand. Great location, very short walk to the beach. The layout of the house worked well for us-we had 5 adults and 16 month old twins. Plenty of room. We enjoyed the pool and the decks. There are places to eat and shop with in a short distance. We enjoyed pizza at Bruno's, breakfast at Another Broken Egg, seafood at bayou Bills and key lime pie from The Donut Hole. The gated community(2 houses) was very nice-quiet, no traffic. We got recommendations for food from Mark-we had 1 minor issue with wireless but Mark took care of that immediately. Overall was a great trip and we expect to return next year. The house was very clean and well represented in the adds and pictures.

The best house and location on 30A

We just returned from our stay at Melodia Grand (July 2010). The home is beautiful, the location can not be beaten. We had an amazing time. The best part of it was that Mark Mitchell, and the rest of the Sandpiper staff and cleaning crew, were amazing to work with. We have stayed in luxury homes all over and I have to say that the difference really is the attention that you get when you have an issue. There is always something that you need and Mark was prompt and more than courteous at helping us with any little issue. The beach access is great and with the gated neighborhood with only 2 homes, we felt safe letting the kids walk back and forth to the house to go the bathroom or get things etc. The one down side is that the pool is tiny. We were very disappointed at first but then realized that it was fine to cool off in. You could not really swim in it but you could cool off and our 4yr. old could swim in it! It is a very quiet and private area and a very easy bike ride to Seaside. The only issues that we had were that the toilets are "low flow" and would overflow with simple flushing, unpredictably. This was remedied by plunging, but it was usually too late and we had a mess to clean up. I told Mark and he sent his cleaning crew over promptly and they cleaned all of the bathrooms thoroughly and brought us all new towels. I would be aware of this next time and have plenty of extra towels and plungers handy, but it would not prevent our return as they were so nice and prompt in handling the situation. We have stayed on 30A for 15yrs. and this home is definitely top on my list.

Grand Girls Vacation

This house is the nicest home we have stayed in by far, and we've rented at least 50 different homes over the years. The VIEW-FANTASTIC, close to beach, great sunsets, THREE master suites ! AND a designer kitchen- we used at lunch, ate out every night :) We had fantastic weather... LOTS of beach walks. Personally, I like LUXURY at the beach. We did sit by the pool a lot. There were only 4 of us, so it was a perfect fit, but you could put 12 in there. You should go to Melodia Grand for a Grand time !

Great Beach House!

My husband and I along with two other couples had a wonderful time at your house! The owner was there doing some yard work the day we checked in and he was most helpful with our getting into the house and getting acquainted with the area. The beach is so lovely and private and the house is very close to the beach and very convenient! We enjoyed all the porches and the great kitchen and living area. Fun House in a great location!

Great location, private but close to everything. Incredible views, fabulous pool area and a great layout to boot! The house was so spacious and inviting. Loved the private beach walkover and spending time on the huge wrap around balcony. Cannot wait to return to Melodia.
