Why the Owner Chose Georgetown
The vacation rental is listed on homes with historic features and was built circa 1888. We purchased the home in 1998 to return it to its original character. This process took much more than we had expected. We had to compromise; retain the exterior and completely redo the interior. So all of the exterior is original except for replacement windows and the addition of the kitchen and third bedroom all in the rear. The work took us seven years to complete, but we are very pleased with the final product. We hope you enjoy your stay in Georgetown.

Owner's Map of Georgetown
We have lived in georgetown for over twenty years. We have a long history in Georgetown beginning with my great grandfather who came to Georgetown in 1858 and worked in a butcher shop supplying meat to the many miners in the area. He left Georgetown to return to St. Louis and begin his family, only to return in 1890. He raised his 5 girls in Dumont and my grandmother married a miner and settled in Georgetown to raise her family. We live in he home that is across the street.
