My family and I had one of the most relaxing and best fishing vacations ever. The golf course was great. The house was exceptionally clean and beautiful. Kind of hard to improve on what others have already said about this property....Very spacious, clean and comfortable for family reunion of 10 people. Basement "playroom" defintitely a plus...Would reccomend this highly and hope to return to it again.

I recently rented the property for Memorial Day weekend. The property exceeded my expectations. The facility was very clean and the grounds were well kept. The game room downstairs was rated excellant by my kids. We did get to view several wildlife such as deer and turkeys. There is a slight hill to go down to the lake but the trail was clear. I would recommend this unt to all.

My Tia Maria is a real bargain and a wonderful house to be able to just lay back and enjoy time with family. We're a large family with the majority being adults and we had plenty of room. The house is tastefully decorated so you get that at-home feel; unlike a lot of rentals that look like hotel rooms or overdone brothels. And even though you have neighbors, you barely know because of all the wooded areas...really nice. The only thing I would suggest is a boardwalk from the house down to the lake; our older family members could not make the trek down the rocks, etc. Other than that, it was a dream...everyone was happy and we will definitely be back!

This property and it's owner were a wonderful find! The owner was always extremely responsive, and genuinely welcoming! The property was accurately described, well-maintained, and quite honestly better than we anticipated! (We've rented homes in the area for over 8 years, and this is the first one that truly met all our varied expectations. Comfortable queen-sized beds; 4 full bathrooms; large well-stocked kitchen; and "great" rooms (living rooms) upstairs and down that have expansive windows that provide wonderful natural light. Do be aware that the path behind the house to the lake is not delineated or improved, so it makes accessing the shoreline a bit of an effort; particularly for those with physical limitations. There are however other more accessible boat ramp/lake access nearby. We enjoyed walks day & night through the neighborhoods; tennis & basketball at the courts adjacent to the air strip; and plenty of room inside the house to do some crafts and assemble a large jigsaw puzzle. I would definitely recommend this property to others, but not if they want to be there when we do! :)

My Tia Maria ranks among the top rentals we've stayed in over the last 15 years to include homes along the Gulf Coast. Convenient store locations added to the stay. Ammenities were very good and supplied features were as advertised. Suggestions I would offer would include immediate return phone contact, internet service, and attention to some very small details (ex. measuring cups and spoons). Also, access to the lake is clear and adequate but will not support handicap traffic. This is a very nice property and would imagine Fall to be an additionally nice time to visit this location. Great decks and patios looking out on hardwood landscapes should offer great seasonal scenic viewing. Thanks Maria...

Lakefront dream house

This has been my 3rd trip to this beatiful lakefront home. Enjoyed it immensely. House is well equiped with almost everything one has in their own home. Very, very clean. Located on what I think is one of the best spots on the lake in suclusion. Little if any interaction with people from other houses or pasers by. It is a golfers dream come true. Tannenbaum GC is one the hardest and tightest golf courses one will play in lifetime. It is well maintained, but off the fairway is hard, and I mean hard ground. Often I would move errant shots back onto grass in fear of breaking a club. Greens are beautiful. Cheap price for what you get. More about the house. Not all is perfect. There is a master bedroom, very nice, but it only has a double bed. This room should have a king bed in it! For the price of the rental, at least this room should be king'd! Other ooms have smaller beds as well and I think that at least one other should have a king size bed as well to accomodate families with younger kids and just for added comfort. If you have a boat. Tieing it up to the shore line is a daunting task. You need as series of anchors and ropes to anchor your boat safely offshore deep enough to avoid a very rocky shoreline. It a storm comes up and it's not secure, I hope you have good boat insurance. Docks seem to be a few are far between there and they are mostly communal. Walking to and from the house will put your into shape or kill you if you have to make multiple trips per outing. It's a hike to and from carrying coolers, etc. If this is your first trip there, take a GPS! We were towing a boat and got lost for 2 hours there before we finally called the owner to guide us in. Streets are not well marked there except to Tannenbaum GC signs on the way in. Put that on your GPS to get you within spitting range. When it gets dark there, you can't navigate very well. All in all, we loved the house and especially the lake. It's warm, usually calm waters except when cold fronts come through and busy weekends from locals. Avoid the 4th of July at all cost! 3 days of city traffic on the lake.

Wonderful Getaway!!

What a beautiful home, the two levels couldn't have been designed any better with games and separate rooms for the kids downstairs and a nice dining area and grill near the kitchen upstairs. We truly enjoyed our get-away to Greer's Ferry lake, we were able to anchor the boat at the bank and walk down the hill any time we wanted to get out on the water or just swim around the rocks. The golf course couldn't be much closer unless we were on it, so a quick trip down the road for 18 holes was also a great addition to the vacation. Couldn't believe the amount of wildlife we saw on the roads to the house, and even in the woods right around the lot, this really is a luxury home with a very remote feel to it.
