It is often said that “today is the first day of the rest of your life” and, at “Honu Cove” on the majestic North Shore of Kaua’i, your days foretell of a lifetime together of beauty and the “Aloha Spirit.”
"Honu Cove" is a gorgeous top floor, end unit in the Pali Ke Kua complex (unit 227) in Princeville with the most expansive ocean views you'll ever see. It has all the amenities of a “true” 2-bedroom condo, but since the upstairs bedroom doesn’t have a door, we are required to call it a “loft”. The unit is situated on a cliff above a picturesque ocean cove where giant Green Sea Turtles ("Honu" in Hawaiian) frequently swim and feed on the tender seaweed that grows on the rocks. Slightly further out to sea, Humpback Whales regularly swim by during the winter months. And you can view this amazing wildlife on a daily basis from your own beautiful lanai or even from your kitchen table. Oh, and did I mention that there are views of deep green mountains and waterfalls from the master bedroom and, just across the cove, you can see the 7th green/8th tee of the famed Princeville Makai Ocean golf course? It's all true. Simply put, the amazing views and opportunities for wildlife viewing from this condo cannot be paralleled anywhere.
Of course, you come to Kauai to get in the ocean and this condo complex offers something almost no other complex in Princeville offers... a PAVED path to the beach (most others have dirt paths that get very slippery). The paved path goes directly from the complex to the private and nearly-deserted Pali Ke Kua beach which is great for snorkeling or just relaxing (we almost always see Green Sea Turtles while snorkeling there!).
The views and beach access alone would be enough for you to fall in love with this incredible home, but there's so much more. This 1 bedroom + loft unit with 2 full bathrooms has just undergone a massive top-to-bottom renovation. The unit sleeps 4 comfortably and is ideal for couples or small families. The master bedroom has a new, 4-poster, king-sized bed with beautiful matching dresser and nightstands. The 2nd bedroom in the loft has a queen-sized bed with matching furniture. Each bedroom has a full adjoining bathroom with shower that has been completely remodeled with new granite-top vanities and new tile showers and floors. There’s a gorgeous gourmet kitchen with all new cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining area, with its new glass-top dining set, is surrounded by windows on 3 sides, each with a gorgeous view. Of course, if you’d prefer to dine al fresco, there is a patio table and chairs on the lanai that allows for unrestricted views of the ocean (and, quite possibly, turtles or whales) while you dine. Back inside, there’s gorgeous cherry hardwood flooring throughout the unit. The unit also offers cable TV, complementary wireless Internet and telephone with complementary free long distance to the mainland.
You may have heard about the famed "Bali Hai" sunset as viewed from the exclusive St. Regis Princeville Resort 1/2 mile down the road, but you can marvel at this same sunset just a few steps from your condo. As the sun begins to set, grab your beach chairs (provided) and walk 50 feet out to a beautiful grassy point where you will view one of the most magnificent sunsets in the world. And, while some postings advertise Bali Hai views directly from the condo, keep in mind that Bali Hai is due west of the complex and, by definition, a Bali Hai view means hot afternoon sun in your unit every day. One of the magical qualities of this particular unit is that it has an eastern exposure for cool afternoons on your lanai, but it also has Bali Hai views just 50 feet away. It’s the best of both worlds.
Head just down the road to the luxury of the St. Regis Princeville Resort for dinner or entertainment. Of course, there’s always the wonderful restaurants in Princeville or Hanalei. Or, maybe you'd rather just enjoy a quiet evening at home and cook a beautiful dinner with fresh fish from the Hanalei Dolphin Fish Market (the freshest fish in town). Sometimes that seems to be the best choice of all.

We travelled with another couple to Kaua'i and this condo was perfect! It had beautiful views, was well-maintained (spacious, yet also providing privacy when needed), beautifully decorated throughout and had a wonderful location. Others had suggested we stay on the south end of the island, but all four of us agreed that we preferred the north side more. The rental company went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, had maps, etc. It was a fabulous week & we would highly recommend this condo.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This condo will take your breath away. The attention to detail and care shows in this most wonderful oasis. It exceeded our expectations! A well stocked kitchen, breathtaking views, first class comfort, an ocean breeze - what more could one ask for? This beautiful condo has to be located on the most ideal spot for viewing sunsets in Kauai. Sunrises were wonderful, but each evening we would take the lawn chairs, so thoughtfully provided, and sit on the point to watch the most spectacular view imaginable! Listening to the sound of the ocean was so relaxing as we ate our meals, prepared in the well stocked kitchen. Every morning after breakfast, we would go down to the private beach and snorkel for a couple of hours, and then after showering in the wonderful bathrooms, we would tour beautiful Kauai. The north side of the island was just stunning and the condo is perfectly placed close to a grocery store, ice cream shop, farmers' market, sandy beaches and numerous other activities. Positively the most beautiful condo that we've stayed at on the island of Kauai. It was first class all the way. Also, it was the best location, very unique, on a bluff on the North shore. We were able to enjoy the sunrise from the lanai and the great sunsets over the ocean and mountains a step outside on the lawn. Every morning waking up to that beautiful view put a smile on our face. And we see why you named it 'Honu Cove' Be sure to bring a telephoto lens or small binoculars to see the abundant green sea turtles eating off the rocks at the bottom of the cove. They were easy to spot with the naked eye but we enjoyed getting a closer look with the binocs. every day from the lanai. We were pretty active but it felt so laid back on the island. We snorkeled, hiked the Napali Coast, took the 'Inter-island Helicopter' (highly recommended..no doors) tour, and beachcombed. If you do the helicopter, take a side trip to Hanapepe and stop at the 'Hanapepe Cafe and Bakery' and say hi to Granny and try her granola too. Their baked goods are out of this world! The beaches on the North shore are gorgeous and so picturesque, backdropped with lush mountains. We came home with over 1300 pics.! Everywhere you look, it is so beautiful on the North shore, you can't help feeling grateful for just being alive. We loved the 'Blue Dolphin Restaurant and Fish Market' and 'farmers market' in Hanalei. The word 'fresh' does not come close in describing either of these 2 places. Get to the farmers market early to get the organic produce, it goes fast. The people who live on Kauai were very friendly and helpful. They enjoyed meeting us as much as we enjoyed meeting and talking to them. The ONLY thing that we did not like was that we had just 10 days on Kauai. Looking forward to a return visit, to Kauai AND this condo! For the fussy vacationeer who wants an exceptionally clean, comfortable, quiet and outstanding views, this unit is by far the best. The photos do not compare to the actual elegance that this unit offers with an extensive supply of kitchen tools, top of the line appliances, custom and comforable furniture and thick plush towels. This unit was outfitted not as a rental but for the owners own use, with all the touches of an elegant home. We love the comfy sheets, the music and the wonderful BBQ each night from our own private patio. All of the furniture was extremely comfortable and custom built, not your normal old worn down rental coach or dining chairs and lumpy mattress, which you sometimes have. The views from this unit faced easterly and was an upstair corner unit which provided more privacy and also did not face the hot sun which hits many of the other condos in this complex. It also provided a nice breeze that flowed thru the unit and we were comfortable all the time. We have stayed at many homes and condo's in various price ranges and nothing has compared to this wonderfully redone condo from top to bottom.. We were also impressed that we did not have to wait 3 weeks for our security deposit that some agencies intentially do, our deposit was returned in less than a week. Thank you for having a Five Star condo for such an affordable price. We highly recommend this unit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

First of all -- the view smacks you deep into your soul when you first enter the condo, and it just doesn't stop! Spotlessly clean (up to my high standards!) and stocked with anything and everything you might need for your stay -- we cooked in more than we had planned simply because there isn't a better dining view at any restaurant on the island (well, maybe the St. Regis........). We slept in the loft bedroom because the ocean sound was just so amazing up there. Great paved trail to Hideaways, swam with the "Honus"....what more could anyone ask for?Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I spent a week at Honu Cove with my wife and 9 month old son and we loved the experience. The condo was well appointed and the view was simply breath-taking. We loved it so much that we can't wait to go back, and we'll strongly recommend Honu Cove to friends and family.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Pali Ke Kua:
We purchased this condo simply because it absolutely had the most expansive ocean views we've ever seen. When we bought it, the unit was pretty run down (as many condo units are after being on the rental market for years) so, shortly after we took ownership, we did a complete top-to-bottom remodel of the entire unit. Now it is unbelievably gorgeous with hardwood floors, new gourmet kitchen, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, fully renovated bathrooms and new furniture throughout. At this point, it's the most beautiful unit in the Pali Ke Kua complex, bar none. It might even be the most beautiful condo on the entire North Shore.
