Are you looking for a clean, quiet house with great views, lots of light and room to spread out? Then this is the house for you. Located on a street that backs onto the National Forest, you cannot find a more peaceful neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe. In summer, it is bliss to sit outside looking at the mountains with nothing but the sound of the wind in the pine trees, surrounded by a beautifully landscaped yard full of native plants, bushes and trees. Across the street are numerous hiking opportunities, and it is a short drive to the beaches and casinos. A great location to get away from all the craziness but close enough to access the beauty of the Lake. There is even a secret back route to South Lake known only to the locals that allows one to get into town without having to deal with Hwy 50!
The gas BBQ allows for leisurely meals while the sun sets and the trees sing. We own the lot next door, so there is plenty of privacy, and room to spread out.
Whether you choose to spend your day inside or out, you will have a wonderful time. The house has numerous windows, allowing sunshine and light to stream in all day long. It is surrounded by trees, with views out to the mountains. In winter, if you don't want to hit the slopes, you can curl up in front of the fire with a book, watch a movie on the large flat screen T.V., or walk across the street (literally!) to the National Forest, with miles of trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. In summer, hiking is right out the front door, with mountain bike trails all around.
The house is also well stocked with distractions such as movies, books and games. No chances of getting bored here!
We have high quality furniture, beds and linens. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with lots of original art work on the walls and great colors.
The kitchen is huge with plenty of cabinets, tiled counters and floor. It is well stocked with utensils and pots and pans and we provide all the paper goods as well as spices, oil, vinegar, sugar and condiments. We want our guests to be able to cook without having to buy the numerous things needed to do so. Our pots, pans and dishes are good quality, we feel there is nothing worse than trying to cook with beat up utensils and cracked dishes. If you want to dine in there is a dining room with an expandable table, and the kitchen also has a large counter with stools for casual eating. There are restaurants and a great pizza place nearby, in case you prefer to spend your time away from the stove.
There is also a portable baby crib and high chair for those who need it.

Master bedroom: Queen Bed
Bedroom #2: Queen Bed
Bedroom #3: Bunk bed, Twin Size Upper, Full Size Lower.

Why the Owner Chose Meyers
We loved the neighborhood and our neighbors are so wonderful, friendly and helpful. We have made lasting friendships with them and love coming to visit and play. Meyers is a quiet place away from the business of the lake, close to the mountains with mountain views, right on the National Forest with miles of trails.
The Unique Benefits at this House

We were more than pleasantly surprised with this mountain retreat in Meyers. It has a wonderfully expansive floor plan, very tall ceilings throughout, and high quality amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen, large master bath and closet, and hotel-quality towels and linens. The decor is modern and comfortable, and the owners know to keep personal items out of sight. The furnace works well, and yet we didn't need it at night, even though it was in the 20's and low teens outside, which was a blessing. The neighborhood is quiet with no traffic. A delightful house in a quiet, convenient location!

My family and friends really enjoyed our stay here. The owner was easy to work with and the house was in very clean condition. The two ladies in our group have keen eyes and everything was to their complete satisfaction. The only downside was the cleaning person who called us repeatedly beginning at 8AM on the day we left. Unplug the phone and you'll have a fine time!!

We love this house. It is very clean, located in a great neighborhood, has trails nearby for hiking, running and cc skiing.... We like that in 10/15 minutes we have access to some of our favorite beaches like Pope Beach. The manager is friendly and easy to work with. We love that we can bring our dog too. The house is comfortable enough to have family (and kids) or friends join you and have the space to hang out without being overcrowded. The small back yard is just big enough for an afternoon beverage or reading your book while the kids play. We can't wait to come back again and again! I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend.

The owner has taken care of this property very well and hence making the stay for the guest a very neat /clean, relaxing and comfortable in a very nice wooded neighbour hood. The bedrooms and kitchen are very well kept with very good quality items. The owner has taken every step for comfort of the guest to the extend that owner has provided all necessary medicine. The owner was very co-operative since we booked this last minute, and we had no issue getting to the place even late in the night. I would definately recommed to my friends this property. And hopefully looking forward to staying at this place in near future. The

The property was very spacious and nicely furnished in a wonderfully quiet location. It made our visit with our kids and grandchildren perfect to be in a lovely home rather than a hotel room which is where we have stayed in the past. All of the neighbors were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions on places to visit and places to eat. It was one of the most pleasant vacations that we have had. So glad that we found out about VRBO. We will certainly try to stay at this property again and others in different locations.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple two winters ago and really enjoyed it. It was very close to the main shopping area, Heavenly ski area, and right down the street from some fun sledding hills and cross-country paths. The house was well-kept and stocked with what we needed for the weekend. The owner is also great to work with. We now have the house booked again for this March and are looking forward to it!

This homes location combined with its size and beauty make it my favorite ski retreat. I have spent a total of a couple months in this home. Huge fully loaded kitchen with a bar that ties into the living area. Heating stove right in the middle keeps it nice and cozy. The home is nicely situated right between Heavenly and my favorite Sierra at Tahoe. The home has a couple vacant lots bordering it and offers a lot of privacy and the street rarely gets traffic. The view from the home is amazing too because it sits at the foot of a mountain ridge. The interior furnishings and design is pretty modern and very clean. Large 2 car garage with snow blower comes in handy. You'll make a good decision staying in this home.

We did like the house, it’s spacious and warm, when you look outside through windows you may think that the house is the only one in the forest, the community is so quiet and peaceful, the location is very nice, especially for people who likes cross country skiing - no need to drive at all; and all the attractions are so close, some 7 minute drive to Raley’s and other shops & restaurants, 10-15 minute to Hope Valley. Thanks.

What a wonderful house, we had the best weekend here with our group. The house is so spacious and in a wonderful location. Just right for skiing at Sierra & having fun at the casinos. So nice to have everything we could need & in such nice condition. Lovely comfortable beds & clean cosy bedding, always important for me. Great value too. We'll be back soon, thanks for a great house.
