On Twenty Mile Stream Road, north of Proctorsville, in Cavendish. Located an easy 15 minutes to the Okemo Resort and downtown Ludlow.

This classic Vermont School House once served the educational need for generations of Vermont families in this rural hillside valley. It offers panoramic views in a pastoral setting. Where pavement meets improved dirt, big sky blends into farm and hill.
In this spectacular country setting, the School House has been lovingly restored and converted into a vacation getaway. The high ceilings of the original school room deliver a spacious sense, while maintaining a truly cozy atmosphere around the warmth of a Vermont Castings woodstove. The natural light pours in from the row of original south side school windows. You'll find a fully outfitted kitchen, open great room, master bedroom plus a dormitory style sleeping loft. One full bath. Sleeping accommodations include beds for eight plus a pullout couch.
This is truly Vermont at its best. Country setting, yet close to town. Okemo is just over the hill. Cross country skiing, snowmobiling, biking, hiking, and hunting are found directly out the door. Our neighbors at the Bates Mansion offer horseback riding to the public. Easy access to Ludlow and all that the downtown offers, including groceries and supplies, an assortment of shops and antiques, your pick of restaurants and a bustling village.
Many snowmobilers know the School House as a waypoint and rest spot where three of the best groomed VAST trails converge and cross Twenty Mile Stream Rd.
