We thoroughly enjoyed the lake house and made use of all the amenities. We even caught a fish off the dock. :) It's easy to see that James and Joan truly care about their guests having a nice time. Thanks and we are already looking forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Wanted to get together to celebrate a grandson's 4th Birthday! Family gathered to enjoy being together from different areas of FL and decided on this central location! So very glad that we did - as we enjoyed ourselves and the Lake House - extremely! The home is very comfortable and filled with so many things to do! And I think we did just about everything that there was to do - from the fishing (both from the shoreline and the available john boat) to canoeing; from playing in the lake to the hot tub; enjoying our morning coffee and breakfast from the back deck overlooking the lake; and cooking on the grill to roasting marshmallows at the firepit! Then - inside - games galore and much more! We loved being together and sharing the experience! Thank you so very much for making your home available and so very comfortable!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I would like to say I couldn't of asked for a more relaxing trip. My family stayed the fourth of July week 2012 and had a great time. The fireworks that the owners do on the fourth were fantastic. The house was great with plenty of room for everyone. My teenagers really enjoyed the pool table, playstation 3 and the ipod docking stations in every room. The kayaks and johnboat were alot fun as well. We all enjoyed just floating in the lake for hours at a time. I look forward to going back to "The Lake House" and highly suggest anyone that is looking for a great place to stay in this area "The Lake House" is the place for you.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We all just loved this lake house. There is nothing bad we could say. This house came fully loaded and we mean loaded. The only thing you have to provide was your clothes and food. Everything was very clean and they provided a small boat, kayaks, fishing poles. We just could not say enough about our stay here.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had an excellent week staying at the Lake House. The owners are very accomodating and helpful. It was nice to have all the amenities, like the fishing rods and gear which we used to catch many fish right off the dock. We took the kayaks and canoe out on the lake for a pleasant paddle. It was Christmas week, so too cold to swim. I would not dive off the dock however (like the picture), since the water is not deep enough for diving. The pool table and ping pong provided hours of fun and the large kitchen gave us room to prepare family meals. There is not a large dining room table, but we found ample room to seat and eat. The view is wonderful and watching the sunrise over the lake is so relaxing. Overall a great place to rent!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything about this wonderful three-bedroom lakefront home is terrific. It is stocked with ammenties and everything you need to enjoy the lake and home. We were greeted by the friendly owners when we arrived and enjoyed their recommendations and large binder for venturing out to Mount Dora and our nearby wedding. Thank you and we would stay again when we return to the Orlando area!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Stayed here the week before last. Nicely updated house on the west side of a small lake. Secluded from the street and neighbors but not isolated from civilization. Owners live next door. They are helpful but respectful of their guests privacy. Terrific game room and deck overlooking an ample backyard, sandy beach, and dock. Backyard has chairs, toys, fire pit, and a variety of paddle-type boats. Game room has a nice Brunswick pool table and is convertable to a ping pong table. There is a Bose iPod system that can fill the room with music. If you don't have your own iPod, one is provided with the most eclectic collection of tunes that you are likely to encounter. There is a also a card table that serves as the dining table. The deck has nice furniture and a privately sited hot tub. The living room has an enormous leather sofa, TV, game console, game table, and view of the lake. WiFi is provided. Cell phone service, at least for AT&T and Verizon was spotty at best. The kitchen has been updated and is well-equipped. Each of the three bedrooms has a decorating theme. The two bathrooms are "vintage" 1940's or 50's but clean and functional. They each have a shower; the house does not have a bathtub. There is a utility room with a washer and drier. I was impressed by how well the owners have stocked the house. Other than food and your clothes, everything is provided. Need something? Open a drawer or closet, chances are you will find it. In short, a great place to relax, do nothing, or play all day and into the night.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thorouglhly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Lake House! It was everything we hoped it would be -- thoroughly relaxing and our hosts really thought of everything; the house was imamculate and filled with amenities if you happened to forget something at home -- it truly was a home away from home. The house was comfortable and the kids loved the pool/ ping pong table; The lake was beautiful and the fishing great! We cannot say enough about this place; it was a little difficult to find, but happy we did; lots of restuarants and quaint towns nearly. We definately plan on returning for a longer stay in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family had to make an unexpected trip to Eustis and were lucky enough to find this rental. The owners could not have been more accommodating We have rented a number of vacation homes through the years and by far this is our favorite. They have really gone above and beyond with all the little extras. My kids enjoyed feeding the fish and fishing from the dock as well as the dvd library. The hot tub was the perfect ending to a day at Disney. We didn't have enough time to take advantage of the pool table or kayaks, but hope to come back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
