This lovely home is just a short walk to the beautiful pastures of the equestrian center or to the newly constructed 24,000 square foot Lake House which sits on a seven acre lake and includes an extensive fitness area, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Freshfields Village is an easy bike ride for dining and shopping. The beach and pool club access are a short ride away with ample parking.
This 5 year young home, with its large front porch and rockers, open floor plan, new furnishings, hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows is airy and cheerful. The well-equipped gourmet kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, will meet all of your needs. This home also has wireless internet, a 52” flat screen TV and DVD player.
The downstairs master suite has a large private bath and king size bed. Two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, and a large joining bath are located upstairs. Two queen-sized sleeper sofas in the living room accommodate four more.
The downstairs garage provides ample room to park a car and store your beach items. There is a remote garage access keypad outside so no need to carry keys with you to the beach.
Seabrook Island is a private gated community located 23 miles from historic Charleston, SC. With ancient live oaks, towering palms, and abundant wildlife, the island is a beautiful retreat for vacationing. The lack of commercial development and hotels keeps the island quiet and pristine. Still, there is plenty to do. The beach is wide, clean, and three miles long. Dolphin frolic in the waters just off-shore. Deer are plentiful on the island and are frequently spotted while walking or driving around.
The Seabrook Island club has two swimming pools, an ocean side bar and restaurant (seasonally, as it is outdoors), an ice cream parlor, fitness center, golf and tennis clubs, and equestrian center, kids' programs, and two additional restaurants. Throughout the summer numerous organized activities are offered, and live entertainment occurs several nights of the week. AMENITY CARDS FOR USE OF THE CLUB, TENNIS,GOLF,EQUESTRIAN,FITNESS,ETC, ARE $150. IN ADDITION TO YOUR RENTAL RATE, per party /per week. You DO NOT have get the amenity cards to use most of the beaches and the local Seabrook Village pool. However, most renters find the club to be a big draw.
BEACHES & POOLS: The Seabrook Island Beach Club with two pools (one heated), poolside snack bars, and private beach access with your amenity card. Seabrook Island has a history of protecting its beaches and “soft management” of the environment, which results in some of the most breathtaking views and seascapes anywhere. Enjoy walking along miles of pristine private beach. Watch for dolphins playing in the water along the shore or go shelling after high tide.
GOLF: The Seabrook Island Clubhouse features two championship golf courses and fine dining. Unlike all other Charleston area golf resorts, Seabrook’s courses are not open to the public, except with your amenity card.
Crooked Oaks Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., is a 6746-yard, par 72 course that winds through marsh, maritime forests and moss-hung, century old live oaks.
Ocean Winds Golf Course, designed by Willard Byrd, is a 6761-yard, par 72 course that takes you to the Atlantic Ocean where the swirling breezes provide a challenging test of ability. Seabrook Island was recently chosen in "Top 100 Best Golf Communities" by Travel & Leisure! The island is adjacent to Kiawah Island offering additional golfing opportunities.
TENNIS: Tennis Resorts Online ranks Seabrook Island’s Racquet Club as 24th in the world for top tennis resorts for 2006. The Racquet Club facility consists of 15 professionally maintained clay tennis courts for day play and a full-service Pro Shop.
EQUESTRIAN: Featuring one of the only beach rides on the East Coast, our full-service Equestrian Center caters to riders of all skill levels with guided trail rides, pony rides and riding lessons.
MARINA & FISHING: Bohicket Marina and Yacht Club, adjacent to Seabrook Island, is a full-service facility that can accommodate yachts up to 200 feet.
SIGHTSEEING & SHOPPING: Freshfields Village brings neighborhood shopping to the crossroads of Kiawah, Seabrook, and Johns Island.
Just off the island you will find numerous restaurants ranging from pizza and burgers to fine dining. At Freshfields Village, located just outside the Seabrook Island gate, is a full-service grocery store, many specialty shops, Starbucks, beach/surf shops, and a pharmacy. Also nearby are a wonderful produce stand with locally grown vegetables and freshly caught seafood, a marina with boat rentals and tours, and additional shops.
No trip to Seabrook would be complete without a day of sight-seeing in Charleston. This historic city boasts beautiful antebellum homes, wonderful dining, numerous sightseeing tours, antique shops, and golf courses.
