We rented this house for my mom's 60th birthday celebration. She brought a friend and I brought 2, so there were 5 of us. It rained the whole time, but it didn't matter- the house is SO cute! There was just enough room for the 5 of us, and we had everything that we needed to cook up some great meals. Even though it rained we were still able to enjoy the hot tub and we slapped on our rainjackets to comb the beach and found some huge oysters for dinner! There is a cute town about 10 minutes away with gas, a store, a lounge, a Starbucks-really everything that you need :) My friend was able to bring her little dog, it's nice that they will allow a small pet if you want. The owners were very responsive and helpful, even leaving a bottle of wine for our girls' weekend. I can only imagine how great this place would be in the summer, it has a great big deck with lots of seating. We will have to think up an excuse to come back. This was a special weekend to celebrate my mom, and we picked the perfect place for it. Thanks!

We spent an early Christmas at Sky's landing with our teenage kids. It was a wonderful way to get away from town and be 'together'. The four of us cooked together, played games, watched football, and had fabulous conversations in the hot tub. The views are wonderful from every room (even the shower) and the kitchen had everything we needed for our Christmas dinner. Santa found us and we opened presents on the 24th. We hope to make this getaway an annual Christmas event.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at "Sky's" Landing from Sept. 12 through 16. I grew up in this area and spent many summers on Hood Canal. I knew we wanted to be on the North Shore away from heavy traffic. This cottage is perfect. There is every amenity you could possibly want and it is spotlessly clean. Just five miles away is a very good shopping center in Belfair. The weather was superb. This is a beautiful location. We truly hated to leave and hope to return again.

It felt like home walking into the cabin. The weather was amazing and the views even more so. We loved eating breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck! Afterwards roasting marshmallows in the fire pit was a huge plus for our 3 yr old. The hot tub was so relaxing and the neighbors very friendly and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Thank you for a great weekend!

The location is incredible. So much to see and do even just right off the deck. The features and amenities make you feel right at home. Shops, groceries, restaurants all close by. We stayed during a cold wet winter storm and it was wonderful just watching the weather. The owners were great in communicating with us before and after our stay to make sure our concerns and questions were addressed. We are already planning our next visit.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at Sky's Landing and will definitely be back. It was such a relaxing, scenic location and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house is neat and comfortable and it was fun gathering some oysters and clams for dinner. Great place and not too far from Seattle.

It's taken me over a year to finally get to this review--a lot going on in my life. What strikes me though over a year later is how the place stays with you. It's like some essence of the place came home with me. We had four wonderful nights at Sky's Landing. The bed was heavenly comfortable for these old aching bones. The feel of the house is just so welcoming and luxurious. Looking out from the living room during high tide, I could imagine that I was on a boat because the water was so close. But, the most amazing thing for me was the seafood that you could pick up and eat right off the beach! What a new and exciting experience to pick my own mussels, steam them with garlic and white wine and enjoy. The owners gifted us with a nice bottle of white that came in very handy not only for accompanying the food but for cooking. A day later, I tackled some oysters. My husband thought I was nuts, but I found the shucker in the kitchen and shucked myself about a dozen that I ate raw with seafood sauce--not only delicious but a wonderfully unique experience. Never in my life had I seen starfish up close like that. And they come in so many colors! As is common in the pacific NW, it rained (drizzled) almost the entire time we were there. In spite of that, I went out to the hot tub and relaxed while watching the lights shimmer on the canal. It was so peaceful. We brought fresh produce with us from Pike Place Market. I have never had corn that tasted as good as that and we had the ipod stereo playing our favorite tunes while sitting in the dining room looking out over the water. After we left Sky's Landing and before heading to the Cedarbrook Lodge by SeaTac, we drove around to the Alderbrook Lodge and rented some kayaks and went out on the sound. (The Lodge there had some great soup too and was reasonably priced.) Although I wasn't able to arrange it this time, they did tell me that I could arrange to rent kayaks for my whole stay next time and explor the canal. Because we live so far away, it might be awhile before we can get back. But, I think about it weekly, at least. It was four of the best days that I have ever had in terms of comfort, adventure and just pure relaxation. Sky's Landing was a beautiful and romantic place to round out our trip to the Pacific Northwest. And I do want to go back. Hopefully, I can someday!

We have stayed at many rental properties and found Sky's Landing to be one of our favorites. The location is perfect, the house is comfy and well kept. Gathering oysters for a 'hangtown' fry, steamer clams for dinner.........what more could you ask for! Nichole and Brook have done a great job of furnishing the home with all the amenities you could need. The vase of fresh flowers upon our arrival is just an example of an the added touch that made us feel so welcome. Would I stay here again.....in a heartbeat. Would I recommend this place to others......you bet...........except on the weekends that I want to stay there!!!!

The pictures don't do this fabulous home justice! It is a paradise right at the edge of Hood Canal with plentiful oysters, great views, and hot tub! It is a wonderful romantic get-away. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this rental as long as I can get in when I want in the future!

We had a delightful stay at Sky's Landing, it was everything advertised plus, We were here for 18 days, enjoyed the Sunrises on the canal and visited all the local towns; Gig Harbor, Sequim, Bremerton, Silverdale, Port Towsend, Shelton, Paulsbo and of course Seattle by Ferry. We highly recommend Sky's Landing and look forward to staying here again in the future....

Sky's Landing is a wonderful location for a relaxing getaway. I spent a week there entertaining a few friends off and on. It was a huge hit and I would recommend to anyone that is interested in getting to know the Hood Canal area that they stay at this location. Perfect
