We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in your lovely home from the moment we arrived. We lived outside in the lanai during the day and having a heated pool was such a treat! The home is conveniently located on the island and anything you would need is close by. What a relaxing couple of weeks! Thank you again for sharing your home; we fell in love with Marco Island and we'll be back...Albert and Traci

We just returned from a wonderful vacation on Marco Island. The house was perfect we lounged in the pool by day and only left for dinner at night. The photo's did not do the house justice. The house was nicelly equiped with all described amenities. We had two couples which allowed us to each have our own private bath. We loved the glass windows to the pool from the living and dining room allowed an open flow. The house was centrally located but a little bit of a walk to the beach. We were able to cook when necessary but it would have been helpful to have a spare gas grill tank availalbe. We will definately recommend staying at this house and would be looking to rent it another time.

After looking at numerous homes on-line in MI and Naples, we were delighted we selected this one! It's a beautiful open and airy home, spotless and very well maintained. The decor, furnishings, bedding, linens, etc. are high-end and very tasteful. The lush landscaping is nicely manicured and the view from the lanai over the canal is gorgeous. We enjoyed many brilliant orange sunrises and watched as they cast their glowing reflections over the water. We LOVED the pool, and could barely drag ourselves out of it! We hit the beach a couple of times and made a run to Tin City in Naples, but otherwise we just preferred to relax poolside on the oversized screened lanai. Cooking a few meals at our own pace was a delight in the "dream kitchen"! It was obvious to us that the owners really are proud of their lovely home, as evidenced by the maintenance person who came one morning to hose out the air conditioning unit and clean the pool (which was already sparkling clean)! Another morning Joe stopped by to repair a 6" piece of screen that had pulled out from the frame (we never even noticed it!) and he was delightful to talk with - gave us lots of good info on the area and beaches. This home is located in a quiet and upscale residential neighborhood, and we enjoyed a lot of privacy by the pool (no blaring music or screaming kids from the neighbors). We loved this house and we loved Marco Island! We will definitely be back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

August 2011

We have been several times in Marco over the last years. In August 2011 we rented this house for three weeks. Pics are great, but the reality is less impressing. When entering the house for the first time by the garage, you find the garage crowed by the owners staff and his car. So our car has to stand outside in the sun or the rain. We found the house in an average clean condition, the grill wasn't usable, the pool dirty, a fan broken... The fan and the grill was, after our complaint replaced by the owner, now you can find an excellent BBQ-grill. Pool pump brake down and was also replaced, what helps to improve water quality a little. We had nearly no air condition in the master bedroom, every night it was very warm. In the queen-bedroom the noise of the air condition box outside could be heard very loud inside, our son had problems with sleeping, so I had to sleep there. After all the house is ok, but you can find for the asked rental fee nicer houses in Marco.
Owner response:Achim checked in from abroad and started off with a nasty gram. He said grill was too small (grill was 9 months old), I had a $500 stainless steel grill delivered that day. He said the pool was not filtering propely, a new filter was installed the next day ($750) but even with a new filter Achim felt the water quality was only of "average condition". Then he asked that the air conditioning condenser unit (large one outside) be removed and placed out front of the house. That was the clincher! We do our absolute best to please all guests and guarantee that our home is properly put together for every parties arrival. Clearly, in this case we were unable to make Achim happy. Please note other reviews and take them into consideration.

Yes we rented this house last year in Jan. It is a lovely home and we would know because we spent every hour in the house. Record lows in Florida while we were there. We were bored out of our minds. We never got to grill out or swim in the pool and it was colder there then back home in Iowa. I would like another chance to really enjoy the sun sitting around the pool and be able to open up all those wonderful glass doors. We took all of our kids for their Christmas present and all they did was watch t.v., worst vacation ever! Only good about it was this wonderful home!

We have been vacationing on MI for five years now and have been searching for a home we like enough to return to year after year. We have found it. The home, the furnishings, and the neighborhood are wonderful. The master BR and master bath are fabulous. Mattresses and bed linens are high quality. The pool and lanai are great (the pool is electrically heated for real which many times is advertised but really isn't or there is an exorbitent upcharge, not here). Pricing is quite reasonable and Mr. Murdoch is very gracious to deal with. His local management company is most accomodating. We wanted for nothing. We will be back many times.
Owner response:Thank you. We work very hard to make sure everything is right.

The house is beautifully furnished with large rooms and is clearly well maintained. Kitchen is well equiped. The house is located in a very nice area on a corner lot. The only improvement needed is that the bikes - all of them- need repaired and/or replaced. Would definitely rent this house again.

We rented this house on Marco last Summer and it is as pictured and more. All the furniture and mattresses are brand new (which is great because some rentals have bad mattresses). Everyday we were so glad we rented the house which is on a desirable street and on a nice corner lot. There is plenty of space and the home is close to the beach, a couple of nights we rode the bikes up to the strip and got dinner and an ice cream. If you like vacationing in Marco this house is one of the best on the island, a great find!
