Best Gay-cation Ever

In addition to far exceeding the pictures, with views and attention to detail better than any home rental we've used, the condo was in an ideal location just up from the beach and the best part of Vallarta (in my opinion). Though not just for gays, the area is friendly and safe, with some great restaurants and shops, and the best section of the beach. We loved the recommendation list... felt like we were being guided by locals. Worth a trip, but don't tell your friends... I want to make sure it's available the next time we go down to PV!

My family just spent a week at Mark and Keith's apartment. It was very lovely. Every need was anticipated. The kitchen was fully equipped although we cooked very little. The location is very convenient......only a short distance down hill to the beach and not a bad walk up. The apartment arrangement with bedroom and bath on each side of the apartment provides privacy for each party of two. I can't imagine anyone finding fault with this spectacular condo.

This condo is everything as described. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything in the condo is highest quality and tastefully decorated. The location is on a hillside but within a few minutes walk of Los Muertos beach and all the great restaurants in the Romantic Zone of downtown PV. The owners were extremely good to work with. They provided a concierge to meet us and offer any kind of advice or reservations we would need, even would stock the refrigerator if requested! The property was clean and secure. There are grocery stores, fresh fish markets, and several bakeries within walking distance. We had our own gourmet dinners at the condo. We would definitely come back here again. We have been coming to PV for several years. Some restaurants we enjoy are Vista Grill for view and romantic setting, La Piazzetta for excellent Italian food and the band Los Bambinos that always stroll through the restaurant at night. Cafe de Olla and Pepe's for Mexican Food. El Dorado has been completely redone and is under new management. We love the Beach House for a beach lunch at Los Muertos Beach. It is straight down the stairs (105) and two blocks to the beach from this condo.

Christmas Week 2010

This condo was amazing! It was absolutely beautiful and it has everything you could want or need on your PV vacation. The condo has fans in every room, excellent TV-DVD-Sony music system, fully stocked kitchen, beach towels...(you get the picture) It even has a coffee grinder and we bought fresh Mexican coffee at Dee's which would get us warmed up before we went down for an Americano! It is perched up on a hill overlooking Los Muertos beach and you walk down these steps (or the street if you prefer) to a short one block walk to the beach which puts you at the El Dorado on the beach. We found that if we wanted to either sit in lounges or beach chairs right there on the beach we would go down before noon and "Sammy" or "Willie" would set up chairs for you and as long as you were willing to spend 200 peso's on drinks or food and you were welcome there as long as you desired (we spent part of almost every day there and it was really fun to get to know the people that were doing the same thing). There are literally so many good places to eat that we had more choices than we had time. The only time we took a cab or bus was to Costco the first day to stock up on basic supplies. We ate at El Dorado, La Palapa, Vista Grill, Fajita Republic, Cafe de Olla (be prepared to wait in line for this one), The Swedes, Tapa's, Michaels, a killer breakfast at Freddy Tucans, a killer pastry shop every morning across the street from Freddy Tucans. A juice stand....and a few burrito stands (being native). When you take cabs you need to tell them that you are next to the Amaca Hotel and they have no problem getting you to the condo! What a world class vacation spot!!!!!!!!!
Owner response:I swear we did NOT pay this guest for this review. Nor is he friend or family......although he is certainly earning our friendship a quite a rapid clip.

Our 5 day stay in Puerto Vallarta was extremely comfortable thanks to Mark & Keith's beautiful condo perched atop Pino Suarez in the old part of Puerto Vallarta. The views are spectacular from all rooms of the condo and the tree shaded pool terrace was a wonderful place to relax in the evening breezes. You will always find a taxi within a 2 minute walk to shuttle you to your destination. The condo is extremely tastefully and professionally decorated and the kitchen has any and all amenities one would need to cook dinners or to mix a cold margarita with friends. The beds were VERY comfy we slept like Kings & Queens! If you are planning a trip to PV, you should look into this property vs. the big bustling noisy resorts. Here you will enjoy the peaceful sounds of the local neighborhoods and watch the local wildlife in the little creek running below the balcony. (keep an eye out an you may see the black Iguanas but dont fret they are 50 feet below you) Thank you to Mark & Keith for this little piece of paradise. I will be back to stay very soon!

Stairway to Heaven

The stairway to heaven; and I don’t mean as sung by Led Zeppelin. Prepare yourself, you are about to enter an oasis of modern convenience in a world of quant cobblestone streets, dizzying heat and hard restaurant chairs. What I am trying to describe is the utter relief you will feel each day you come home to 591 Pino Suarez. The cool marble floors, spacious shower with ample hot water, ultra soft down pillowed beds under powerful ceiling fans, ice cold A/C blowing at you from every direction, a fully stocked kitchen ready for gourmet meal preparation if you get tired of beans and rice, and best of all, a balcony the envy of all your lower neighbors with a view of the ocean and it’s perfect sunsets. Let’s face it, we all enjoy a little “local rustic” flavor on our trips but we can get that, and perhaps overdose on it, when we step outside our door…do you really want to come home to more of it? Stylishly decorated and well laid out for privacy, you’ll be the high rollers of the Zona Romantico in this condo. I can’t recommend it enough.

We loved staying this condo. The place is beautifully decorated, the view are fantastic and the location is convenient to beaches, restaurants, etc. We felt right at home and the place completely met our needs. We would stay again in a second. The setup of the two bedrooms is also great so for two couples it worked out perfectly!
