Excellent cabin, affordable, and will definitely rent again!

This cabin is fantastic. Although the pictures posted are nice, the cabin is more impressive in person. We had a group of 11 people for a fellow's retreat/ski weekend (at Squaw Valley), and the cabin was spacious enough to house everyone and still have room for extra! The facility was well-managed and clean; the surrounding area was quiet but close to the freeway and to Donner Lake. Additional bonus was the outdoor hottub and amenities like an air-hockey table, washer/dryer, and the well-stocked kitchen. For the winter season, the garage could house 2 cars comfortably and there was space for 1 additional car in front of the driveway. We would definitely recommend this cabin to others and would rent again!

I have a group of about 10 friends that go up to Tahoe around Valentine's Day every year. This year we stayed at the Donner Lake Vacation Home and had an absolutely great time. The house was very clean and private. We spent a bunch of time in the hot tub and played ping pong in the garage. We cooked all our own meals in the easy to use kitchen. My favorite part about the house is that it has a family feel unlike other properties I've stayed in that seem like a hotel. You can tell the owner uses this cabin and treats it like his own.

Beautiful house, very nice owner, would rent again

We were 4 families (15 people) renting this house for 3 nights. The facilities are great and the house has been very well kept. We enjoyed the 8 person spa on the patio when we couldn't ski because of a snow storm. Lots of games for the kids inside the house and us adults liked the availability of a wine cooler. The dining table was huge and great to seat all the kids together and the later all the adults together for the meals. The owner is very quick in response and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Being close to the gorgeous Donner Lake, this must be a great place in the summer as well.

Donner Lake property in Lake Tahoe area

Our extended family of 11 spent a most memorable and enjoyable time at our Tahoe home. The facilities were as promised and clean. Plenty of towels and sheets. Minor glitches were the absence of soap and a few other articles we would have expected but overall we had a wonderful time. Snow was great as was the skiing. Grateful for the working snowblower in the garage as it facilitated our getting out! Neighborhood is beautiful and folks friendly and welcoming. The view out the large picture windows was out of this world. The hot tub and pool table was appreciated. We skied at Northstar and Homewood but will try the nearer areas the next time. We left some of the trail maps in the suggestion book and others would have been helpful. The wireless worked flawlessly. Safeway up the road was convenient. Plenty of restaurants in the town of Truckee. A map of the area would have been useful. Would certainly come back in the future and recommend to friends.

My family and I stayed in this home. It was great! We have 8 adults and 5 kids (16, 14, 10, 7 and 2)in our family that stayed there. There was so much room in that home, we never felt cramped. The house is in a beautiful area that is easy to get to. The kids all loved the snow in the back yard. They also loved playing air hockey and pool. We only turned on the deer once becuase my 2 year old was afraid. There were also board games avaliable which we took advantage of. I do regret not being able to use the hot tub because there wasn't enough time. The one thing I would have liked to see is a high chair but it wasn't a problem. If we go back to Tahoe, we would definately stay here again!

We have rented this home twice and each time has been a fabulous experience. The home is in top notch condition, extremely clean and has easy access to Donner Lake and close to all ski resorts. We will be going back!
