ALOHA & WELCOME
We would like to welcome you to My-Maui condo at the Kuleana Resort. We were very picky when we bought this condo. We wanted an ocean front condo were we could sit in a tropical garden, listen to the birds and watch the ocean. To us this unit represents the ultimate relaxation and we are looking forward to sharing it with you.
BEDROOM & BATH HIGHLIGHT
The bedroom features a Queen size bed with new 100% supima cotton 600TC pure white sheets, white robes from Telegraf Hill (supplier to the finest hotels and Hollywood), dual side tables & lamps. There is a large closet with plenty of storage space and a security box for your personal valuables. The bedroom has a selection of books about Maui, Hawaiian flora and fauna - and a flat screen 32" HDTV.
New fan Emerson Midway Eco (energy star) has been installed. This is according to reviews the most efficient fan on the market.
The bathroom is recently remodeled and features a large shower with dual shower heads. White luxury towels with 100% Hygro Cotton (softer and thicker than "normal cotton"). You have plenty of towels for the pool, beach and bathroom.
KITCHEN HIGHLIGHT
A new European kitchen with new fully integrated under-counter appliances has been installed in June 2010. The kitchen cabinets are cherry wood with Silestone counter top. Top-of-the-line fully integrated Bosch & Miele appliances are installed, this include glass ceramic cook top & combined convection-oven/micro-oven.
The new kitchen include an eating area at the counter top.
LIVING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
The living area features brand new designer furniture – where each furniture is handpicked based on a combination of Scandinavian simplicity and American comfort.
A new entertainment system - flat screen 42" HDTV with surround sound and iPod docking station - is installed. There is a collection of DVD’s, cable TV and complimentary 3MBit WiFi available.
The living room and hallway has just been remodeled. The floor was updated with new tiles. The walls and ceilings has been full-spackled to level 5 and given new fresh paint. The ceiling also features new recessed lighting and a new Emerson Midway Eco (energy star) fan.
The living area has motorized shades installed and most light can be dimmed to support the romantic atmosphere.
From the sofa you can watch the whales breach (in season) – our own experience in Dec 2009 - or dolphins playing/traveling by (our own experience in Sep 2009).
LANAI HIGHLIGHTS
The lanai has a direct view of the ocean as well as direct and easy access to the resort and all the amenities. It features new designer dining table and chairs for 4 people and a perfect spot for relaxation with a good book or the computer.
There are no buildings or roads between you and the ocean. The waterline is 175 feet from our lanai

My-Maui Ocean Front Luxury with Complementary Wi-Fi
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Kahana
Before deciding where we wanted to buy our vacation home we toured all the Hawaiian islands - taking them one by one. All islands are unique and offer a great variation of nature, relaxation and culture. Maui turned out to be our favorite - it has a little bit of everything from the other islands and you are close enough to other islands that you easily can do day tours.
We wanted a place big enough to have the luxury you expect from Hawaii and at the same time a small community that allows you privacy. We wanted ocean view from the lanai with direct uninterrupted access to the beach, luxury amenities as well as a nice tropical garden with flowers and birds. Of all the places we looked at this was by far the best mix of small community, luxury, ocean front and tropical garden. We fell in love with the place!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We enjoy that our resort is small, have a big pool and our own private beach - in fact we both have a sandy beach and a snorkel cove.
Every Saturday the resort offer an introduction of Maui and recommendations of tours.
We are in walking distance from the best coffee Maui can offer - Bad Ass Coffee. We quickly became regulars and really enjoy the friendly welcoming as well as the extremely well made coffee. In fact we enjoy that we have options within walking distance - public beach park, farmers market, deli, supermarkets etc..
Owner's Map of Kahana
Anders and I moved from Denmark to San Francisco in 2003. Denmark is nothing but small islands where after a couple of hours drive you either drive in circles or end in the ocean. As much as we love the mainland and all the opportunities, our background make us long for the "island feeling". From the first time we sat foot on Hawaii we knew that this was it!

We couldn't quit bragging to other family members that were staying in one of the huge resorts. This property was beautiful, serene and quiet. We truly felt like we were on vacation just sitting on our lanai. The tropical plants and trees with the view of the ocean really give you the true feel of Hawaii. We saw tons of turtles right off our beach and the snorkeling was fun. We would definately come back and stay here. Nina was wonderful to work with. Mahalo

We stayed here for 10 days and loved every minute of it. The condo was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed our morning walks to the beach to look for whales and turtles - and never had to look very hard. The lanai has a great view of the ocean and we enjoyed sitting on it and watching the whales breach. The beach at the resort is great - all we needed for our two children. The pool is just wonderful and the grounds are beautifully kept. The location of the resort is great and is nearby many great beaches and shopping. We loved the resort and the location for its quiet laid back atmosphere. Definitely a trip we hope to repeat!

We had the best time in Maui and a large part of that was choosing this condo!! First off, the owners are so gracious - we arrived to the condo and they had a lei placed on the bed in the shape of a heart which was the perfect touch considering it was our honeymoon! Secondly, the view from the room is incredible. The lanai looks right at the ocean - you are less than a rock throw away from the grills along the ocean. The sunset is amazing from the condo. The pool is less than 25 ft from the lanai. Everything is so convenient to get to from Kuleana (the condo complex). Now, for the condo - it is so modern and fresh! Everything is new and and beyond your expectations. It is a small condo but that didn't bother us a bit - you are hardly in the condo at all anyhow! There is so much to see and do that when you come back at night you come home to a comfy, cozy, beautiful place. They also allow you to use their snorkeling gear (which is a must because you won't be able to snorkel with turtles anywhere like you can right there on their beach), cooler, tennis rackets, etc. The condo has state of the art appliances and lighting - the temperature is not a concern either because even on the hottest of days, just by opening the sliding doors there is an amazing breeze throughout! I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to stay in a quiet, peaceful, beautiful place. You have everything you need right there. It is where we will be staying for all our return trips!! Thank you Nina and Anders! You guys are the best!!

We spent four nights at the lovely Kahana & enjoyed everything about our stay. While the condo is small, it's neat and was everything we needed since we spent so much time outdoors. It's nice that you provide a cooler, water toys, a blender, coffee maker & every utensil we could need. A very thoughtful set-up. The gardens at the Kahana are absolutely breathtaking. Just to drink a cup of Kona coffee in the morning and wander around the grounds is a botanical experience. While sitting on the lanai, we were treated to a beautiful ocean view that included whales breaching and the calves trying. To snorkel you just put in at the stairs on the seawall. At sunset you just bring your fish down to the community BBQ and meet your fellow neighbors and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset. It truly makes you feel like you live there - if even for only a few days. The pool is great and all you want to do is head to the Farmer's Market in Honokowai & get some food & enjoy your time at home, in the water, in the garden, in paradise. When you get antsy - just head to Lahaina & treat yourself to a sunset dinner at Mala's and stroll Front Street. We saw 3 concerts when we were there - so be sure & check out the music scene too. Nina & Anders - you have a nice place - thanks for sharing it with us! We'll be back to visit family again soon and look forward to staying with you again!

My wife and I stayed at the condo in July of 2009. We thoroughly enjoyed the condo and the property as a whole. One particular advantage of this unit is that it is on the ground floor, with a lanai that leads directly onto the lawn, grounds, beach, and pool beyond, so no going up and down stairs; it's like you have a huge front yard. We routinely took our dinner items out to the gas grills on the grassy bluff that is right at the edge of the beach--talk about a great kitchen experience. As far as the unit itself goes, it is nicely decorated and furnished at present, and it's our understanding that it is in a process of gradual upgrading--so the unit, already nice, will become nicer over time. The new television and the high speed internet were very nice pluses. We never had any problems parking, the grounds are meticulous, and there are more turtle heads bobbing up for air in the ocean off this beach than on any other beach we saw. The condo is a couple of short blocks from the Farmer's Market, which has some of the best groceries (including local produce and freshly baked french bread--otherwise hard to find in Maui) around. There is also wonderful snorkeling (including more turtles) in a calm cove about ten minutes up the coast at Makuleia Bay and at adjacent Honolua Bay. Star Market is close by, but for better value, go the extra few minutes to Lahaina to Foodland. The condominium complex as a whole (the Kuleana) is a nicely maintained property that feels like more of a vacation haven than many of the other, more populous and massive developments, and the proximity to a very nice and uncrowded beach is very appealing.

I, my husband and our 12 yr old son stayed in lovely unit 503 for two wonderful weeks in the end of March beginning of April '09. The grounds are serene and meticulously tended to; the flowers, pool, tennis court, ping pong, and beach front BBQ's were used by us daily. We took advantage of the two hour time difference in our favor and rose early each morning to sip coffee on the Lava rock jetty and watch the sunrise, whales and sea turtles. The very same whales that frolic right outside the condo are the same that come to our home in Alaska so it was great to see the new babies. A short walk a couple blocks down the street on Mon, Wed, for the farmers market was a good routine as well. There is a supermarket called "Star Market" that is open 24/7 for quick grocery trips about 1.5 miles from the condo. Do not miss eating the French Toast or having a good beverage at JAVA JAZZ, it is in the same complex as star Market; this place is perfectly eclectic and funky. The Condo property location is not isolated though; it is not centralized either, it is just right. We loved to drive every other day to Lahaina or Kihei. Driving to Mckenna Beach was also a fun drive. Having a rental car is a must for the adventurous family. The snorkeling that we did right at the property was just as successful for turtle and fish gazing as it was when we took a drive to other spots. Do not underestimate this location, it has everything you need for a memorable vacation and makes you start planning your return immediately.
