My family and I just returned from Islamorada and had a great visit in this home. It is clean, bright, nicely furnished, and very roomy for our family of 3 teenaged boys. The kitchen was very well-equipped with everything we needed to fix our meals. We used the bbq every night to grill our freshly caught fish. We loved sitting out on the deck with the view of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The private beach, a nice walk a few blocks away, is really beautiful. We went down in the evenings to watch the sunset. It is on the Gulf side and so tropical with palm trees and tiki huts. The owner was extremely helpful and available on the phone when we needed to ask him questions. He was very accommodating. We would highly recommend this beautiful duplex to anyone traveling to Islamorada.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for a wonderful stay…we were very pleased by the charming atmosphere of your house, the wonderful view from the balcony, and the ease of everything via boat from the dock…it was just perfect!! Our family had an exceptional time and we look forward to coming back again soon. With best wishes from the four of us- Melinda, Wayne, Emily and Olivia

My family and I stayed at this house for a week from 4/15/10 to 4/22/10 and just loved it. The view is wonderful, as you not only see the water in the cove but you can see the beautiful blue Atlantic Ocean right from the deck inside or outside. The area is nice and quiet and you can see many different fish right off the dock. My grandson and I saw some red and blue parrot fish and many others by just hanging over the side and looking. We were very pleased with the accomdations in the house as well as the live in caretakers downstairs. They were very pleasant and helpful with anything we asked. We loved going to the private beach to see the sunsets every night. We took some great pictures on the beach with the sunsets, tiki huts and trees. The only thing we were disappointed in was the fact that the last day there we missed seeing the manatee visit at the dock. The caretakers Tina and Carlos shared some pictures of their son swimming with it. We would definately love to return in the future if we are fortunate enough to be able to. I would recommend this property rental to anyone seeking a quiet, beautiful and pleasant vacation which is close enough to get to any fishing, watersports and restaurants and fun you want to have.

My family has spent our Spring Break here for two years in a row. The house is totally as advertised and based on our research, the best value in the Keys holds true. Oceanfront homes may be more desirable but also are considerably more expensive. Many other places in the Keys are "waterfront" but are on a canal with a view of other houses. This home is really the best of both worlds with a wonderful view of the cove and the ocean beyond. The private beach is a short drive away if you want to sit and snorkel in sand. The house has an updated tropical decor, but retains an old Keys rustic feel. We were initially concerned about privacy as it is a duplex, but the layout affords plenty of privacy -- much more than a condo. An on-site caretaker is a great source for local information and advice. The Lower Matecumbe Key area is very picturesque and residential, yet close to restaurants and entertainment -- much quieter and less developed than Key Largo, Plantation or Marathon. We definitely hope to return again.

We just returned from a week at this property and can't wait to go back. The house was a perfect fit for our family of six and the layout was open and airy which gave it a great tropical feel. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed watching the sunrise over the atlantic each morning from our private balcony. We fished right off the private dock and there was plenty of action to keep the kid's rods bending. We were also fortunate to have a manatee visit us at the dock one morning and she let us hose her down. The house is in a great neighborhood that has access to a beautiful private sandy beach. There are plenty of restaurants and outdoor activities all within 5 miles of the property. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

We were lucky to book this home for a last minute getaway. The owner was extremely accommodating and offered great advice about the area. The home was updated, very clean, and in the perfect location for fishing, snorkeling, dining out, etc. without making you feel like a tourist. We even met the friendly manatees! Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable long weekend. We will definitely return.
