Visit the Historic Downtown Business District. The downtown area has been transformed into a strolling, browsing & shopping area. You will experience quaint shopping and unique dining experiences here. Take a fishing trip from the Port St. Joe Marina. Surf Fish for dinner while the younger ones assist you or build sandcastles on the beach. Shipyard Cove Park offers a beach area, natural wetlands, a walking trail, park benches and picnic tables. A great place to end your day. Frank Pate Park is bayfront and features a lighted tennis court & walking track, playground, boat ramp & a gazebo at the end of the pier. Picnic tables are grills are also available at this park. Forrest Park is located in the heart of Port St. Joe’s residential area. This park offers a public golf course, tennis court, playgrounds & several lighted baseball & softball fields.

Best Beach Cottage Ever!!

My parents, my husband, our two children, and myself stayed at Barefoot Cottages for an impromptu summer vacation right before Memorial Day. We decided on this unit on Wednesday evening, and I emailed the owner through VRBO. She replied very quickly, and by Thursday morning we had it booked. The process was very quick and easy. And once we got to the property, everything about this place was perfect! The landscaping and grounds are beautiful, and it is so quiet and peaceful. The cottage we stayed in was the most exquisite I had ever seen. All the furniture was high-end, and it was decorated and furnished just as a beach cottage should be. The beds were amazing! Everything was clean and they'd even turned the air conditioner on before we got there so it was nice and cool when we arrived. The beach access was fantastic (hardly anyone there with us so we practically had the beach to ourselves), and the pool area was very neat and clean. We've stayed in a lot of vacation homes over the years, but this was by far the best experience ever. And the rates were so reasonable! We will definitely be back to stay in this unit again. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Everyone agreed this was the best place we've ever stayed. We forgot to sign the guest book before we left (we were having way too much fun at the beach), so this review will have to do. Thanks for such a great trip!

I've stayed in the Barefoot Cottages twice now and have had a wonderful experience each time. Most recently we stayed in this unit - My husband and I, my best friend and her husband, and our three kids between us. We had an amazing week. This really feels like a home away from home- it couldn't be nicer. We'll be back!! <3
