Villa Wattstraat sits at the base of Spaans Lagoon Beach Road, a mix of residences and rental villas along the southern coast of Aruba, east of Reina Beatrix Airport, off the beaten path and away from, but accessible to tourist amenities.
The house was first renovated in 2005 with the addition of a pool, privacy walls and second floor observatory now used as an office and sleeping loft. With our purchase of the property in 2008, the house has undergone additional renovation, been completely redecorated and includes up to date electronics.
With the freshest fish available and meal preparation at your option, choose to unwind at home by the pool, walk down to the beach, snorkel in Spaans Lagoon or head into town for shopping and tourist amenities. At night, decide between dinner at home under the stars, beachfront dining a short walk down the road or head into Orangestaad for the nightlife with the option of the restaurants/casinos around Eagle and Palm Beaches.

- Kayak rentals and hosted tours are next door and there is excellent reef snorkeling in the lagoon. For the more adventurous, Tidal islands are wade-able from the beach for evening beach parties.

Why the Owner Chose Pos Chiquito
We've visited Aruba for so often it's become our second home. After years of looking at island residences close to the tourist areas we fell in love with Spaans Logoon and the easy lifestyle there. It's a close-knit neighborhood with walkable groceries and restaurants. Mango Halto Beach is just down the beach road with ocean access for swimming and snorkeling all along the shore. We cherish every sunset and are down every chance we get.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Because we're on the ocean (Spaans Lagoon) we have all the water sports at our convenience, the pool gives us a place for the kids to play. The fishing dock across from the house provides the freshest fish and endless amusement for the kids. The house has Internet and home theatre so we feel at home technologically. Of course the perfect weather and gorgeous sunsets from our balcony are priceless.

Neat little seafood Restaurant a three minute walk down the beach road. Actually sits atop Spaans Lagoon. Feed the fish right from your table!
Coastal Island attraction for snorkeling and sunbathing. Great water park for the kids. Travel there by motor launch which departs from DePalm's pier next to Aruba Nautical Club.
Aruba's premier yacht club, close by Wattstraat. Good restaurant and bar with Happy Hour Fridays beginning at 6:30. Interesting mix of Aruban Movers and Shakers, expat sailors and sportsfishermen.
