You will like the convenience of having a fully equipped kitchen during your stay for quick lunches & for the evenings you would like to stay in. If you do decide to dine out, visit Old Bay Steamer, their specialty is steamed seafood by the bucket full, Lobster Tails, Snow Crab, King Crab & Shrimp are the contents of one of their Buckets for Two. Prepare to get messy enjoying your meal, they often tie bibs around their patrons’ necks. If you don't care for seafood they have Pasta & Steaks also.
If you are looking for great pizza, go to Helen Back. You can pick up their pizza to go or enjoy the back patio on the water with a nice view. If you are looking for Mexican food you will find it on Amberjack Drive at Los Panchos. If you are looking for Italian or Steak you will find Pranzo & Pandora's will suit the bill. They are located just across Miracle Strip Parkway on the left.

During your stay in Ft. Walton Beach here are a few things that might interest you. The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier is nearby for a chance to catch dinner. The pier is 1262 feet long with an octagon at the end so everyone has plenty of room to fish. It's possible to catch fish as large as 100 lbs. here, what a great vacation story you would have if you did!! I enjoy the fishing pier for the great sunsets and Dolphin Watching.
Speaking of dolphins, make a point to visit the Gulfarium during your stay. You will have the opportunity to catch a dolphin show & visit all sorts of marine life such as seals, sea lions, sharks, alligators, penguins & more.
