A spectacular view of Mt. Shavano guides your arrival to Piney Creek Cabin.
Once you step up on the deck you'll know you're "home". The cabin is surrounded by pine, aspen and the sounds of the creek rushing by. The home is appointed with comfortable furnishings, an updated kitchen, a large table to gather around and a living room stocked with books, games and movies. There is a two car gargae available for your vehicles and ski gear. Head outside and roast marshmallows at the fire-ring by the creek. Piney Creek Cabin is a cozy retreat for a couple or group of 8.
Three bedrooms offer a Queen, a double bed and a futon couch/bed and the sofa converts to a Queen size sleeper.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper napkins and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval with a $30 cleaning fee. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Prices are based on 6 person occupancy. Add $10 per night per person over 6. Your well behaved dog is welcome for $10/night. $45 accidental damage protection is added to all reservations and includes your check out cleaning. For stays of less than 3 nights, the other half of the cleaning fee will be charged ($30). Visa or Master Card accepted with a 2.9% fee, or pay by check. Rental agreements must be signed and returned by email or mail at time of reservation. Credit card information is held until check out in lieu of a security deposit.

The house is very comfortable. We enjoyed being so close to skiing at Monarch and near Salida too. This is a very quiet spot in a beautiful winter wonderland.

Your house is perfectly located in the peace and quiet. We loved sitting by the campfire while listening to the creek. The hiking trails up behind the house are beautiful. We found a great rushing waterfall.Thank you for sharing your home!

Our group of seven had an outstanding visit to your house. With visits to Salida, the Royal Gorge, Aspen, Gunnison, Crested Butte, and a day of rafting on the Arkansas River... we had a blast!

The setting is fantastic - quiet, beautiful pines with a stream running through the property. We found the cabin to be dirty - stained carpets, dusty, dirty floors and bathroom -when we arrived. The managers did respond by sending up cleaners and cleaning the bathrooms and offering to clean the rest of the place but by that time we had done most of the work and didn't want to be inconvenienced. My husband and I have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one was not even close to the amenities and lodgings that we have had before for the same price. There was only one comfortable bed in the place, the kitchen was filled with junk as was the garage, and the no closets to hang things in. There were no operating windows in the living room and the patio door wouldn't open because of the carpet. We were given the opportunity to move to another VRBO but were only able to view the outside before making a decision to move so we declined. The manager did refund one night's stay out of a two week reservation and they were willing to listen to our complaints but this is not worth the money we were charged!
Owner response:Guests are so different! The guests before and after these guests rated this cabin extremely favorably, including cleaning, and we have many guests that return. Owners stayed there this summer and did a great garage clean out - didn't find any junk in the kitchen though! It's well stocked and very popular. Windows are working fine, thanks for the feedback. We're always out fixing and cleaning and appreciate the opportunity to make it a great stay. I'm sure you'll love Piney Creek Cabin!
