July 14-21, 2012 Marlene, We had a wonderful time at your villa. It was even better than we expected. The Sandestin Resort was great, with the Baytowne Wharf, Adventure Bay for the kids, and the gorgeous beaches. Your home is well maintained and very comfortable. Our 3 boys absolutely loved fishing off the deck, within about 10 feet of the back door :-) You have a beautiful home, and we thank you for sharing it with us.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Excellent Vacation!

June 16th - June 23rd 2012. A wonderful time was had by all! The fishing on site at the villa was incredible! This year, our son caught three fish off the back deck within our first 30-45 minutes there. The guys went out fishing with Capt Gary Jarvis on the Backdown II on Monday and had a marvelous time. They caught their limit and we had an awesome dinner that night. :-) Check it out - well worth it! Marlene, your villa is as fabulous as we remembered from last year. It was our "home-away-from-home". It is nice knowing that when you're finished with the beach, fishing, golfing, or what-ever, you can come '"home", relax, sit back, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Ahhhhhhh.....Thank you for allowing us to visit. We are looking forward to returning next year. Three vacations in a row to the same place? Obviously, you're doing something right!! Take care.

A Wonderful Vacation

We stayed at Marlene's house last week and had one of the best vacations of our lives. The house was extremely clean and provided plenty of room for the 5 of us. We loved sitting on the back deck listening to the water and watching all of the wildlife. My two children were enthralled. We also had never been to the Sandestine Resort. What an amazing resort! The Sandestin beaches reminded us so much of the beaches in Mexico. Simply beautiful! We hope to return next year and many more years to come. Thanks again Marlene for allowing us to stay at your beach house. We had a wonderful vacation!

July 2 - 9th, 2011. Marlene - you have a beautiful home and we thank you for allowing us to use it. Within 10 minutes of our arrival, my husband caught a fish off the back deck! Needless to say, he was "hooked". Everything we could have needed or asked for was provided. The home is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. The weather was wonderful and the crowds were not too large. We had such a fabulous time that (as you are aware) we are all checking our calendars to book another week next summer. Thanks again!! Great Time

We loved this villa and the resort. No matter how busy the resort got, we were able to come back to a quiet retreat and just kick back. I especially like fishing off the deck, and I'm not one of the children - - I am the father. This home had everything we needed. A good time was had by all - parents, kids, and granny. We will definitely be back! We've already recommended this to our friends.

Marlene, We had a fantastic 2 weeks in your lovely Linkside home. Everything was perfect! It seems like you've gone to great lengths to make it comfortable for your guests. We liked it so much that we are planning on booking it again the same time next year.

Marlene, We enjoyed our stay at your villa. The kids really enjoyed the duck which they named Daisy and Davey. My son attempted some fishing but no luck.

Marlene - What a wonderful experience your villa at Sandestin is! We truly enjoyed every minute we spent there. Our boys fished off the deck (they didn't catch anything), but they enjoyed it immensely! The weather was perfect the whole week so we were able to enjoy the pool and the beach every day. Thank you for sharing your villa with us. We will be back!!

Marlene, Great rental! We loved it. Very clean, well kept, up to date and convenient. I think my 7 year old fished for about 72 hours straight.. right off the back deck! I enjoyed watching the golfers in the morning. It was relaxation at its best. Our vacation was cut short by tropical storm and you were a pleasure to deal with. You are a real class act. Folks, this unit and this owner come highly recommended!

Dear Marlene, I just wanted to thank you for allowing my family to stay in your lovely home. I searched the area over and not only do you have the best value but your villa is extremely warm and inviting. I can't wait to plan our next trip to Destin and stay in your villa again. This is definitely one of my families favorites places to visit. The resort is so beautiful and having the lake right outside was such a delight for my children. Marlene - just had to tell you this. After renting from you for so many years, we thought we would surprise our 9 year old daughter this year with a trip to Disney World instead of coming to Sandestin. When we told her, she cried and said, "no Mom, I want to go to my favorite house in Florida. Who will feed the ducks and turtles if I'm not there?" I can't imagine a child passing up Disney World, but that will give you an idea of how special your place has been to us and what special memories she will always have of your home. Thanks for always being so accommodating to us.

Marlene, Your home in Destin was so wonderful! I felt at home with my sister and my son and his friend! I would tell anyone who wants privacy and a fabulous place to relax to come to 444 Linkside! Much nicer than The Sandestin Hilton, and the lakeview and golf course was sooooooooo relaxing! I will be your friend for life and you are a "sweetheart"! This is a perfect place in the sun for families and having Marlene for a friend is priceless!! You are so close to all the "hot spots" is Sandestin!!!! Pamela Tice Chapman Memphis

Marlene, thank you for all your e-mails. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed them. I am still thinking of coming down to Sandestin for a month in the fall and would love to stay at your villa, like I said before, whenever we pulled up to 444 Linkside it was like coming home. For many years my grandson, Zachary, thought it was his Meemaw's beach house. When he was about 7, my daughter told him it really wasn't mine and that we rented it. He cried and cried. We enjoyed making this home "the place" to be for the family. The golf courses of the area were never conquered by us, but enjoyed. Shopping and dining a delight. The sunsets are spectacular! Yea! This condo is great and we will be back! (To feed our little turtle friends out back) Watch out for the left hand golfers w/a slice. Is this glass in this place golf ball proof? What a view! We had a delightful time and made full use of the beautiful beaches here at Sandestin. We also rented bikes and did some sightseeing on the trails. The "fishing deck" out back was a huge hit with our two children. Your villa is most comfortable and we had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our time here. We look forward to returning again soon! P.S. The frogs that chirp at night are absolutely incredible! You have quite a few in residence here! It's quite a concert!
