My husband & I loved this condo! It was a great location in Kapalua. The beaches were both about a 5min walk away...but the walk was beautiful! We walked the coastal trail quite a few times on our visit. The condo is also located right by one of the pools at the Bay Villas. The kitchen is updated & easy to cook in. We made spaghetti & ate that for lunch to cut down on our food cost. The bathroom was huge! It was also nice to have washer/dryer on our trip. We also frequented the Hololua General Store in Kapalua for anything we forgot. It was nice to have that store nearby. Patty was very easy to work with during the whole process. She responded quickly & made everything so easy. She also provided a great list of recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. I would rent from Patty again!

Our host, Patty, made every effort to make us comfortable: leaving suggestions for dining, placing a phonecall upon our arrival to ensure our satisfaction with all arrangements, and, of course, equiping our villa with any and everything one could possibly require on a luxurious, beach based vacation. And, the view from the terrace was spectacular, commanding our attention at every meal. Not that we weren't tempted by the array of comfortable and elegant furnishings inside the stunning villa. We spent many hours curled up on Patty's furnishings with a goodbook and a glass of wine, To say we will be back is a given! Thank-you Patty.

We had a very pleasant stay experience. The property was clean, well maintained, and just about the right size for our family of 4. Bathroom is huge. All appliances were in working order. The owner was friendly, helpful and responsive for any questions and or needs during out stay. We liked the location very much: it is in a quiet area with no major tourist traffic but yet only 10-15 min drive to a more "happening" places like Kaanapali / Lahaina. Convenient access to the oceanside trail. Ritz Carlton is 10 min walk away (their swimming pool is rather bland so our 14- and 9- year olds were disappointed, but they enjoyed using Ritz's tennis and basketball court facilities). Overall, great value for money and outstanding experience. We highly recommend the location and the property.

The minute we walked into this villa, we knew it was something special! The view from the floor to ceiling windows was fabulous, as was the spacious feeling of the floorplan. The furnishings and accoutrements were impeccable and the epitome of understated luxury. The lanai was perfect for relaxing whilst enjoying a refreshing beverage and watching the whales frolic in the majestic Pacific Ocean. The bathroom was gorgeous—we particularly enjoyed the walk-in shower and the thick spa robes! The property was also a treat, with the 3 pools so accessible and walking trails for taking in the beautiful beach views. Having a shuttle on premise was very handy for trips to the store or a dinner out. The drivers were very pleasant and friendly and very quick to respond to a call. The Plantation House was a wonderful restaurant and we had two marvelous dinners there. We also took advantage of access to the large, tiered pool at the Ritz-Carlton which was a lot of fun for our child. We had a wonderful, relaxing time and hope to be able to visit again!

From the beginning, our experience with Patty and VRBO was exceptional. We were slightly anxious about booking our honeymoon stay in Maui somewhere other than a well-known hotel chain because "you never really know" what you are getting until you get there (as far as location, service, cleanliness, etc.); however, every picture shown & every review written are simply unable to capture & explain the overall extent of the beauty of the property (both inside and out). Patty was so kind and helpful on the phone; she even emailed us a map in addition to a list of suggestions regarding dining, activities, etc. This is certainly a personal touch not even the finest hotel chain would offer. The villa itself exceeded our expectations. Not only was the view from our room & patio even more breathtaking than the pictures, but the overall comfort & beauty of the SPACIOUS villa confirmed we had made the right decision in choosing Kapalua Bay Villas over any luxury hotel. There was a fresh pineapple in the fridge upon arrival, housekeeping and guest staff were awesome, the shuttle was reliable and convenient, and we had PLENTY of everything we needed there (bath & beach towels, toiletries, and kitchenware). Patty even called to check on us while we were there! The location of the villa was perfect because, luckily in Maui, you aren't far from anywhere you might want to go! The only trouble was choosing where & what to do! We had many adventures on the island and dined at some great places! Some of our favorite restaurants around the villa were Sansei, The Gazebo, Duke's Beach House, & Hula Grill. As far as our BEST meal in Maui, though, Mama's Fish House (in Paia) wins hands-down! Our favorite activities/excursions are as follows: Bluewater Rafting Tour was the best! We enjoyed snorkeling in 4 different spots on that tour. Kapalua Bay was our favorite beach spot, and the Ritz Pool is lovely too. Horseback riding at Mendes Ranch is fun and offers otherwise unseen, phenomenal views. Surf lessons at Royal Surf Academy are exciting, and you will be in the lovely area of Lahaina Beach (which also offers some cool shopping). Both the Scotch Mist Sunset Sail and watching the sunrise on Haleakala are also memorable adventures. Rent a convertible if you stay so that you can travel the island at your leisure and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. We have already recommended this villa to our friends and family and can't wait to return!

We were delighted by the location, layout and interior contents and cleanliness of this first class remodeled bay villa in Kapalua. We found the ocean views to be even better than what was shown on the listing photos, especially when sitting out on the covered lanai, which we did most often. Patty, the owner was very friendly, professional and quite efficient in booking the property, and shared with us a list of her favorite restaurants as well as available activities in the area. Our favorite dining experiences were at the Pineapple Grill and Sansei. It was a special treat to have an arrangement of island flowers on the dining table when we checked in along with a nice welcome note from her. She also called us there to be sure that everything was in order and to our liking. Having use of the Ritz property, along with their daily cleaning service and towel resupply was a real plus. It's the best of both worlds in having a private condo with hotel amenities at less than hotel cost! We highly recommend this property to all those looking for a first class one bedroom, one bath unit on this very special location in Maui. If you do lease it though, enjoy and have fun, but leave it in the condition you found it, as we plan to come back again next year, and would like it to be as nice as our fond memories.

We had the most incredible stay at pattys condo!!!. Her recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed some of the best meals we have ever had thanks to her local knowledge. The swimming and snorkling at all the beaches was second to none.

We stayed at Patty's place and one other one bedroom unit at the Kapalua Bay Villas, and there was a significant difference in those two condos. The other unit had dated furnishings, tile, decor, but still fairly nice and we were satisfied with it. Patty's unit was extremely comfortable, very new furnishings, granite counter tops, beautiful bedroom and master bath, and full gourmet kitchen with all the utensils that a chef needs. It was so nice, it became the place where everyone hung out during our stay. But, the really unreal thing about Patty's place, and what you need to know when booking a unit here, was the services included with the rent. We had daily full housekeeping service including doing the dishes, a nightly turn-down service (which was really sweet), towel replacement service every day and laundry detergent delivered each day as well. At our other condo, which again was still very nice, we didn't receive any of these services and never had even housekeeping service. Keep in mind that with any of the Kapalua Bay Villas that you have full access to the Ritz-Carlton pool and spa, which we used four different times and loved it. You also have access to a free shuttle service that will transport you, for free, anywhere throughout Kapalua. You ALSO have access to the Kapalua Spa, which includes a full weight room with brand new machines and cardio equipment, 2-3 classes per day (Yoga, Pilates), a super-plush mens and womens separate locker rooms. These locker rooms are equivalant to some of the best spas that we've been to in Santa Barbara and Las Vegas with steam rooms, hot tubs and even a gender-shared infinity pool. We couldn't believe that it was free, but it was. These units are also just above (1 minute walk, if that) Onolea Beach, which my teenage sons spent many hours boogie boarding. There is a 3.5 mile trail that runs from Flemmings Beach all the way to Napili Beach, probably Maui's most beautiful coast line and all your's for morning walks. I cannot recommend this unit more and are already planning on going back. Patty even called us during our stay to personally check on us and make sure everything was perfect. Thanks Patty and we will be back next year. -Matt (Visalia, Ca)

This villa really exceeded my expectations. The location is great, within walking distance of several beaches, and of course there is the view of the ocean and Molokai. Some excellent restaurants nearby, and the 24-hour reception center has concierge service that can help you with reservations. Parking is ample. The spa/fitness center is really nice, and also only a short walk away. The ability to use the Ritz-Carlton facilities was great - my wife and I took advantage of this on multiple occasions during our 1 week stay. Inside, the villa is very nice - fully (and very nicely) furnished with a well-equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. There are several supermarkets nearby, so if you don't want to eat out every meal, you can certainly prepare your own meals - a key benefit over staying in a conventional hotel. Daily housekeeping as advertised. Also available if needed is Kapalua Villa maintenance if anything goes wrong - during our stay the air conditioner stopped working, and we called maintenance, who was able to fix the problem quickly. Patty is very nice to deal with as well - upon booking, she sent us a list of recommendations for dining/entertainment/etc that was quite helpful, promptly answered any questions I had before our trip, and even called us during our stay to make sure everything was okay. I would not hesitate to book this villa again for a return visit, and highly recommend this villa for anyone visiting Maui - the owner is great to deal with, the villa is wonderful, and the rates are excellent as well.

This was our 2nd trip to Kapalua and we plan on coming back again! This rental unit is awesome! It is perfectly located and has great ocean views and is in close proximity to the new Kapalua Spa. Renting from Patty and Rick Cassidy was so easy. They were very attentive and easy to work with. There were 4 of us in this unit (mom, dad, 10 year old, 7 year old) and it had so much room. We used the pull out sofa, which was very comfortable and had a rollaway bed brought in by Kapalua. The unit was clean and the daily maid service was very nice. While we did many of the typical Maui activities (road to Hana, etc.), we found ourselved mostly wanting to hang around Kapalua. We went to the Ritz pool daily where the kids enjoyed the pool and my husband and I enjoyed tanning. We used the spa daily for the fitness room and the locker room facilities (which includes hot tub, cold plunge, saline pool, and sun deck). The spa was just a 1 minute walk from this unit! We snorkeled at Kapalua Bay, which is perfect for novices. We walked on the trails. Everything about this unit and the resort are terrific. Thanks Patty and Rick for all your assistance!

Upon arriving at the Villa in Kapalua all we could say to eachother was WOW. We had booked this villa for our honeymoon and we couldnt have picked a better spot to vacation. Everything you would want in a quiet peaceful get away is right here! Every morning we would eat breakfast on the lanai and then walk down to the ocean and watch the whales and dolphins jump. We spent most of our time at the pool basking in the sun. For dinners there is a BBQ area poolside which we took advantage of several times to cook some local fish. If you into golf like I am, trust me this place is golf heaven! With the bay course and the world famous Plantation course you cant go wrong. The villa itself is stunning! Beautiful remodled kitchen, large master bedroom and an extremely spacious bathroom. The daily maid service makes life easy while your staying here too. No need to make the bed while your on vacation, and fresh shower and pool towels every day. All in all this villa in Kapalua is by far the best place in we have ever visited. We are already planning our trip back!

Our stay at the Kapalua Bay Villas was everything we hoped it to be and more! It is always difficult to know if the description and pictures are a true representation of the property and actually it was even better in person and so beautifully decorated and maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you could possibly need. It is a great location, with beautiful views of the water, next to one of the several pools that are available to use. The pool area near this unit has a gas grill, which we used on many evenings. This unit also offers use of the Ritz Carlton Pool & Spa which is a great benefit, especially if you want to indulge in a spa treatment. We loved the Kapalua location which is more secluded and private and doesn't have the tourist feel like other areas of Maui! The owners were especially helpful with the selection of restaurants, activities on the island, and informing us of the new Whole Foods which had just opened the week we visited. Maui is a magical place and we are looking forward to our next visit!

We had spectacular views from our large living room plus, an easy access to the ocean and the wonderful saline infinity pool at the Spa next door. This lovely villa was very clean, well decorated with a modern flare and had a kitchen stocked with all the essentials needed for cooking gourmet meals. My husband and I will return to this real gem in Kapalua.

This Villa really blew away my expectations. We were treated to a breathtaking ocean view the minute we walked through the door! The condo was beautifully remodeled (gorgeous kitchen and bath) and had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay. Access to the Ritz spa and gorgeous saline pool was only a short walk away...and what a treat. We make a trip to Maui every year and will definitely rent this Ocean Villa again.

This suite was fabulous. It is spacious (twice the size of any suite we have stayed in at the Ritz Carlton), has an absolutely gorgeous view, was immaculately clean and everything felt completely brand new. This is the only place we will return to stay. You walk in the door and are greeted by a gorgeous ocean view that gets even better when you step out on the lanai. We loved the comfy robes and slippers, the shuttle service and still got to enjoy the Ritz pool. Patty, the owner was great to work with. It doesn't get any better than this.
