Accommodations:  House, 5 Bedrooms, 5.5 Baths (Sleeps 10)

This dramatic house on four acres has views that will take your breath away - sunrises and sunsets, panoramic views of the ocean and Diamond Head, 26 miles away on Oahu. Our home was designed for family gatherings or groups of friends to share including your own private swimming pool. It can sleep 10 people with five bedrooms and 5-1/2 baths - four have en suite bathrooms. All bedrooms have king beds, two of which can be converted to two twin beds.

Other amenities include a gazebo by the pool, rock garden, orchard and very large covered lanai overlooking the world below. A caretaker lives on site in an adjacent cottage near the orchard.

Beaches are a short 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away. Seen from the lanai, Pakohaku Beach is the longest beach in Hawaii. There are a number of other beaches to explore nearby providing good surfing and boogie boarding. Venturing further out, there are incredible sights throughout the island from Halawa Valley with its majestic water falls, exotic hiking trails, pristine beaches and Father Damien’s historic Kaulapapa mission.

Moloka’i is old Hawai’i - it is a place of both subtle and dramatic beauty inhabited by people who value their traditions and the life that the land and sea give them. There are few tourists but those that venture here will be warmly greeted in the old Hawaiian style of hospitality and will experience a Hawai’i many believe has long past. If you are fortunate enough to stay on Moloka’i, you will forever take a bit of its spirit home with you. To visit our web site, scroll down and click on "more info on VRBO listing".

The Unique Benefits at this House

We bought and remodeled this house because of its spectacular views and close proximity to the incredible beaches. From our house you can watch the sun rise over the mountains of Molokai and see it set over Oahu while sitting in the same spot. All our guests comment on how much more breathtaking the house and views are in person as opposed to the photographs. It is truly a magical place.

I am an architect and live in Portland, Oregon with my wife when we are not in Molokai. We both fell in love the spectacular panoramic views and the potential that the original house had. As an architect, I redesigned the house and site features to comfortably accommodate a family or group of friends. The interior is very spacious with high ceilings, the lanai is huge and the area around the pool very expansive with a covered gazebo. Every effort was made to take advantage of the incredible vistas. Sunrises over the mountains near Kalae, the expansive kiawi treed landscape to the the east and south and the Pacific Ocean and Oahu to the south and west. We are happy to share this beautiful environment with our family, friends and especially our friends we haven't met yet.

    • I can't wait to return to Molokai! Aside from the charm and beauty of the island, the level of comfort and relaxation we experienced in this lovely home made us want never to leave. The sunsets are spectacular. This really is a perfect spot for the gathering together of family and friends.

    • Our family of four stayed at this wonderful Molokai home this past February and we had a fantastic time. The home is immaculate, with a great kitchen, comfy beds and sweeping views of the valley all they way down to the ocean. Some activities we enjoyed include: dinners and whale watching on the deck, the swimming pool, surfing/snorkeling/tide pools at the beach (just a short drive away), incredible star gazing poolside, hiking and deep sea fishing. Molokai is a beautiful, tranquil island and this home provides a perfect retreat for those seeking an amazing time with friends and family. I highly recommend a trip to the island and this home in particular.

    • Before finding this amazing house, we fell in love with the quiet and the beauty of the island of Molokai. This villa though, took our breath away. The view allowed us to watch the sun rise over the hills and the sun set over the ocean! The house itself is beautifully designed to make every room elegant as well as comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and certainly of gourmet caliber. There is a huge dining table inside and another out on the large deck that looks out to the hills and ocean. We loved eating outside for every meal. Each bedroom has a view that made choosing a bedroom easy...any would be perfect. The pool is ideal for playing and swimming and has plenty of lounge chairs for the readers. Beaches are a short drive away. If you are hearty, you can walk to the longest beach on all of the islands which is Papohaku. Here you can walk, whale watch, or just lie in the sand. You may find yourself nearly alone on the beach which adds to its beauty and charm. There are other beaches for swimming. Will I go back? YES, and I can't wait to take friends there who would appreciate this beautiful home set on the stunning grounds of this quiet hill on the friendly island of Molokai.

    • I spent 8 incredibly wonderful days in this beautiful home in the paradise called Molokai. The view of the ocean from the house and the covered deck is spectacular, the home decor is beautiful, and everything in this home is perfect and comfortable in every way. It was my first visit to Molokai, but it will not be my last. There is so much to do and so many interesting and historical sites to see on the island, but a great deal of our time was in reading and relaxing by the gorgeous pool overlooking the view of the ocean. I loved it and would certainly recommend it to everyone!
