Welcome to the "Two Kriks" historical Schweitzer Mountain home. THIS IS THE QUINTESSENTIAL SKI CABIN!!! THERE IS NOTHING ELSE LIKE IT !!! Built in 1970 with large beams and cedar accents this home was one of the first single family constructed homes at Schweitzer Mountain. This is a warm, comfy and cozy cabin with great vibes throughout. The home sits neselled among huge trees with no neighbors within sight , yet only a half of a mile directly to the village ! The two car garage will keep your cars covered during the snowy nights and the driveway has room for two more . Bordering the property is "Creek Trail" a cross country/snowshoe/hiking trail. Your visit to the cabin comes with a VIP parking pass to the front of parking lot in the village as well as a private locker in the main lodge .
As you walk into the home you will notice the "two kriks" sign above the sliding glass door that invites you to a covered deck and the brand new hot tub. There is nothing like cold snow all around you while relaxing in the hot tub. During the summer months the tranquil sounds of two rushing streams envelop the home. Back in the house, the small but functional kitchen has everything you may need for your stay here. The lighting is unique and the rustic bar stools at the counter make a comfortable area to enjoy conversation.
Naps happen here... The sunken living room is the perfect place to cozy up and relax with the fireplace warming you any time of the day. Looking out of the large picture windows here will connect you with the outdoors and the old growth forest surrounding the cabin. The dining area has an anteler chandelier hanging above and the furnishings in the home are truely rustic and add to the unique charm of the cabin.
The master bedroom is creekside and is huge! The master bath has a tub/shower. The master also has a rustic futon couch. The second bedroom, also creekside, is large and has a queen size bed , there is a walk out slider that leads to the deck and hot tub. There are three very safe sleeping lofts above the second and third bedroom. One large sleeping loft has a queen bed and has an adjoining double. The third bedroom is small but functional and it has a futon and a walk up loft with a queen bed. The lofts are perfect getaway for kids of all ages. All of the bedrooms have satellite tv , and there is even a gaming systym with four controllers. The second bath is on the main level and has a walk in shower. There is also a new washer and dryer and walk in pantry.

Why the Owner Chose Schweitzer Mountain
We fell in love with the calm serenity and warmth the moment we stepped in side . The rushing stream could be heard as the real estate agent opened the windows and doors. There was so many areas in the house so we felt it perfect for entertaining out of town guests . Being so close to the village sealed the deal and we closed on it shortly thereafter.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
We love the large windows for viewing the majesty outside . The year round rushing stream provides immediate tranquility . This is one of the oldest single family residences built at Schweitzer , however , it is not run down and shoddy . The ammenities are as if we would be living there year round .
