Super clean, modern home in convenient Sam Hughes

It was such a pleasure to stay at Casa Bella and Lil and Henry were great to work with. The entire home was very clean and modern, it comfortably slept all six of us very comfortably for a long weekend in Tucson. The kitchen was well-equipped, the patio area was perfect for the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located. This is the nicest place I have rented from VRBO, and we hope to come back some day!

This was our second visit to Casa Bella. My wife and two children aged 5 and 7 look forward to returning to this perfect little bungalow. The Sam Hughes district is the nicest historical neighborhood in Tucson. We enjoyed most of our suppers outside on the rear deck. It is equipped with a great BBQ. We enjoyed our coffees and the morning light on the front deck. The house, hosts, neighborhood and proximity to the University make Casa Bella a unique and enjoyable rental. Steve

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella! It had all the ammenities you'd need, it was clean, updated and accommodated 3 couples comfortably. Lil and Henry were great to work with, we were scheduled to check in on Saturday and staying at a hotel on Friday. But with only a few weeks before our arrival we noticed that Friday was available. Though the previous guest were checking out that day Lil and Henry kindly made adjustments to let us check in on Friday. We loved the neighborhood, and the fact the U of A, restaurantes and shops were close by. A place worth staying!!

Rodeo week in Tucson:YAHOO!

Guest: Becci (Wellesley, MA)
Date of Stay: 02/17/12 Review Submitted: 04/18/12

Three of us decided to winter in Tucson for 2 weeks: My husband (67) , mother (88) and myself (56). We all enjoyed Casa Bella for its wonderfully appointed kitchen and secluded patios front and back. The walk to the park and to Rincon Market made our get-away very relaxing. While we were centrally located and near the U of A, the neighborhood is blissfully quiet and very beautiful. Also got to see lots of my U of A friends from university days as the house is easy to find. I was able to entertain by grilling outdoors delicious grass fed beef steaks or wild salmon from Rincon Market. I even celebrated a birthday and they deocratd the cake with a Harley Davidson logo! Tucson during rodeo week is just wonderful. We were very comfortable in every way and Lil and Henry were very responsive. They even helped us get a tour by the Director of the Poetry Center at the U of A which Henry designed (a must see!) Casa Bella is a real treat for snowbirds from New England! We''ll be back!

This makes four times we stayed at Casa Bella, and we hope to come back again. Not only is the house itself comfortable, clean and convenient. The owners, Lil and Henry, are great people to deal with -- competent, considerate and caring. We enjoy our time here. It's an attractive house in a quiet and respectable neighborhood, and I would certainly recommend it to my friends.

Just spent Homecoming weekend at Casa Bella. We had two couples and a small child and the house was the perfect size. The owners were quick to respond to any inquiries during the rental process. The home was in great shape, we loved the Trader Joe's snacks. We were able to walk to the UA mall, just a nice 10-15 minute stroll down a quite street. We would love to stay here next time we make it to Tucson.

Wonderful introduction to Tucson!

Our son and his family recently relocated to Tucson and we went along to help with the baby. We all stayed at Casa Bella as we waited for the movers who were 2 weeks late! The house was spotless and comfortable and gave us plenty of room to relax. The location is VERY convenient and the owners very helpful. They provided much more amenities than we ever expected and were very helpful in many ways. Our family enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and we would not hesitate to stay at this lovely home again.

We rented for the NCAA tournament at U of A in March and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The home was within walking distance of the campus, was easy to find from the airport, and everything we needed was nearby. The home is very clean and extremely well stocked, and the patios were perfect for relaxing on. The owners were great to work with, and we would recommend the home to anyone.

We stayed three weeks in late March 2011. The best recommendation I can give is that we booked four weeks in 2012. Casa Bella is quiet, very clean, and in a great neighborhood. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook. The location very central to many restaurants if you don't. We have two children and appreciated being a short block away from a large park and library. Henry and Lil were a pleasure to deal with and very welcoming.

Great rental in Sam Hughes area

Date of Stay: 03/05/11 Review Submitted: 03/15/11

We stayed here for a week on vacation in March. The house was immaculate, comfortable and tastefully updated. The enclosed yard has two outside patio areas where we could sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. The owners were very helpful and made us feel welcome, and even provided some amentities such as soap, paper products and snacks upon our arrival. The house is centrally located in a quiet area, close to a park and within easy walking distance of the Rincon Market, where you can get gourmet coffee, pasteries, and groceries. This is a great house in a great location. We definitely want to come back and stay here again.

We spent Christmas in Tucson visiting family and exploring the area. Casa Bella was the PERFECT home to rent and come home to. The location is great fro exploring the highlights that Tucson offers. It was comfortable, super clean, and even had some basic paper products, etc. We were touched by the arrival snacks and coffee, etc. The house is a really interesting mid-century style, very private and very well designed...contemporary without being cold. Hope to go back sometime.

WHAT A GREAT PLACE

Date of Stay: 10/21/10 Review Submitted: 10/25/10

Henry and Lil were so accommodating during the rental process. When we arrived to Casa Bella we were pleased to see how immaculate the house was. All the amenities (towels, soap, dishes, cups etc..) were provided not to mention an awesome BBQ! The location could not be any better. Every day we walked straight to campus through beautiful Sam Hughes, definitely bringing back some college nostalgia! The front yard with french doors, and back patio made it perfect to relax and enjoy the tucson weather. The furniture and beds were comfortable and I've gotta say, what a well designed place. I'll definitely be returning, hopefully it doesn't get too popular! -Adam

Casa Bella

Guest: Roddy (Scotland)
Date of Stay: 09/27/10 Review Submitted: 11/09/10

Aptly named, Casa Bella is a delightful, immaculately clean house in a super neighbourhood. Lil was there to greet me on arrival and showed me around with the minimum of fuss. The house is very pleasantly furnished, none of the usual horrible 'artworks' so many rentals seem to specialise in and the kitchen is lovely and equipped with anything one might need plus a few basic supplies like washing up liquid, roller towel, water etc and some thoughtfully chosen snacks. The back patio is perfect for early morning coffee and evening barbecues and the front verandah is a cool haven later in the day. An added joy was seeing lots of birds, plenty of woodpeckers and hummingbirds plus lots of butterflies. The Sam Hughes area is quiet and peaceful but within easy reach of shops and restaurants. It's close to a lovely green park and within easy walking distance of the Rincon Market which has a grocery store plus excellent coffee and pastries and other food available. Everything went smoothly except for a very minor glitch with the internet which Lil dealt with speedily but other than that it was a perfect home away from home and I would throughly recommend it for long or short stays.

My parents stayed here for two weeks in February 2010. The home was very comfortable, and located in a quiet neighborhood - excellent for walking with a nearby market, park and university. The house is nicely supplies with basics - spices, soaps, etc. that make the first day of your stay (until you get to the store) much more enjoyable.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

We have had the pleasure of staying for almost a month at Casa Bella and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We love the neighborhood and particularly the proximity to the Rincon Market (great breakfasts and lunch) and their fabulous fish market. The tea house 7 cups is also great. Easy access from there to anything in Tucson. All amenities were provided for and our hosts thought of everything. The house was clean and bright, with lots of light. We are looking forward to staying there next year - hoping to make this an annual visit for us.

We stayed here for 3 weeks in Jan 2010. The house is both elegant and comfortable - a rare combination - and the owners are justifiable proud of the way in which they have refurbished it. It has walled gardens to the front and rear, both offering a high degree of privacy (and an excellent bbq). It is in a pleasant, quiet district; is an easy walk to the University; a slightly longer walk to downtown and there is a frequent bus service nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and the 3 weeks passed all too quickly.

I had a great experience here in Feb. of 2009. The property is beautifully manicured and the home was clean and stylish. The beds were very comfortable, and the owners were helpful when asked to recommend near by restaurants and other necessities. I would definitely rent from them again.

Tranquility and comfort in a much-loved Tucson neighborhood! The web photos do not do justice to this serene oasis on a very quiet street that dead-ends on Himmel Park, a Tucson gem. The owners love this house and they have highlighted the architecture with comfortable furnishings, decor and appliances that are easy on the eyes and easy to care for. There are comfortable spots to enjoy the birds and lizards that visit the native flowers and trees in two gardens. Our family spent a wonderful reunion week together in this peaceful house, where despite a May heat wave, we felt cool and relaxed in Casa Bella. The owners are welcoming, caring and gracious, and the house feels like "home." We will be back!

It was clear that they cared about providing their guests with a positive experience. The location is great as well. I would definitely stay here again.
