Charming Lake Whatcom Log Home. Located on the south end of Lake Whatcom it is ideally set for seclusion, fun, and relaxation. This end of the lake is quieter and cleaner than the more developed north end. Scenic views of snow capped hills in winter. Wintering waterfowl, bald eagles, spawning kokanee (landlocked salmon), and other animals frequent the area.

It is only one hour to skiing at Mt. Baker, 20 minutes to shopping in Bellingham or one hour plus to more opportunities in Vancouver, B.C. or Seattle, WA. Ferries from Anacortes to the San Juans are only 40 minutes away. The home is fully stocked with linens and appliances and ready to be a weekend retreat or a week long lake vacation or more. Public boat launch is only 2 minutes away. Extensive parking for trailers and multiple cars and RV's.

Home was developed for wheelchair accessibility on main and basement floors. Extra large bathroom with easy entry shower (shower chair available upon request). Also has a stair lift servicing bottom and main floors.

Home includes 3 bedrooms and hide-away bed (total sleep capacity 8). Detached loft has trundle bed and bunk beds (total sleep capacity 4). Detached loft is an optional $50 per night during offseason, included for rentals during peak season.

Excellent house and property for multiple families. Yard for tents available.
Amenities: WiFi, cable tv, phone, front loading washer/dryer, IPOD Player, 32" lcd, large fire pit, boat house with fridge and tables for lakeside entertainment, 6' Pool Table/Ping Pong in detached loft, board games.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It is spacious and absolutely beautiful. It is well maintained and has a beautiful view of the lake. We loved the location itself. It's perfect for going northeast, to Mt. Baker or southeast, to travel the Cascades highway. I would highly recommend this location for any family to stay.

  • This home was perfect for our mom's getaway! It accommodated our large group perfectly. We spent most of the day relaxing outside soaking in the natural beauty (on/near the dock, in the kayaks). The kitchen/dining room/living room/deck layout was great for cooking a large meal together and catching up with the group. We loved our stay there and left feeling relaxed and rejuvinated.

  • We enjoyed the cabin (and the adjacent side building) very much this past August (2009). The accomodations are very good (especially the kitchen), and we especially also enjoyed the wi-fi and phone access. But the access we liked the most was the access to the lake itself via the property's dock. Kayakking, swimming, fishing, tubing--we loved it all. And the summer berries--black berries and raspberries--were delicious. A great location on a great lake!!
