A charming country home nestled on 3+/- acres of the nicest land Ludlow has to offer with gorgeous mountain views of Okemo in the winter. This Cape is only 3 miles to the Village where all of your conveniences await you from our Shaw’s grocery store to the video store, Rite Aid, dining, shopping, a charming book store, unique clothing and wonderful art galleries. This home in the country is located on the prestigious South Hill and has been totally renovated in 2006 to make it your perfect get a way in Vermont. The upgraded kitchen has new appliances, breakfast bar and granite/Corian counters. The layout is perfect for entertaining with an open floor and spacious kitchen with ample work space. There is a large bedroom on the main floor with a queen sized bed and direct access to a bathroom with a shower that also services the main floor through access to the kitchen. There is a huge deck that overlooks the rolling hills which are terrific for sledding in the winter or water slides in the summer and there is also a wonderful front porch that opens to a nice size mudroom, perfect for containing all of your outdoor gear and shoes/boots. The open living room and dining room features a cathedral ceiling and a wood burning stove, as well as a TV.
The upstairs has a balcony, wood ceiling and ceiling fan and features two bedrooms with a connecting large full bathroom in between. The downstairs is the perfect place for the kids with a large family room, a large bedroom with two twin beds and a large bathroom with a shower and the washer and dryer. All of this is tastefully decorated with a homey touch and is neat as a pin.
We offer sleds, games, books and videos to make your stay relaxing and engaging. There are wonderful walking trails nearby, as well as great swimming holes, waterfalls, health clubs, and did I mention Okemo’s golf course? Fall is also a fabulous time of year to visit with our world renown foliage surrounding you on our land, as well as wonderful Vermont festivals, especially Columbus Day weekend where there are activities and events that could keep you busy for a whole weekend. There is private parking for several cars in the summer and less in the winter depending on how much snow we get!

While only a few miles from the Village of Ludlow this home feels like the Vermont you may have enjoyed as a kid; wide open meadows, trails to hike and paths to explore. Your home in Vermont has a huge deck to enjoy a barbeque and take in the warm Green Mountain sunshine. The house is set up with a family room on the lower level so the kids can do their thing while everyone else can enjoy quiet conversation around the wood stove.

We are the Crowleys and we live right here in the Village of Ludlow Vermont. We moved here in 1999 from Connecticut and love living in the Green Mountains. It is a wonderful place to raise kids and really enjoy the great outdoors.
