Enjoy amazing views of Kirkwood Mountain as well as the meadow from the impressive Great Room with vaulted ceiling, expansive windows and hardwood floors while relaxing in front of the fireplace and large screen TV. The gourmet kitchen has all the amenities with granite countertops, top quality appliances, a breakfast bar, and even a wet bar.
A large deck provides a great place to relax in the sun and appreciate the breathtaking views. The four bedroom (two master suites) floor plan of 2200+ square feet allows groups or multiple families to sleep comfortably. There is also a two car garage, laundry room and plenty of space to store your things.
When you’re ready for some activity, the ski lifts are less than a five minute walk away, or you can call for a free shuttle ride. There are 5K of free groomed cross country ski trails just steps away or more than 50K of trails (for a fee) right down the road.
This home has a great location on Cornice Court, a private cul-de-sac, for accessing the ski lifts and resort amenities. The recreation center including hot tub and exercise equipment is across the street. The swimming pool, tennis courts, Basketball court and playground are also right across the street for use during the summer.
Kirkwood resort has lots to offer with some of the best skiing in California for beginners to experts due to its high elevation, great snow and varied terrain. Besides downhill and cross country skiing, tubing, ice skating and even dog sledding is available.
There is plenty of snow at Kirkwood to allow sledding, snow play and snow shoeing. During the summer, Kirkwood has miles of hiking trails as well as lift assisted mountain biking on the slopes.
You can also enjoy horseback riding at Kirkwood stables and fishing/boating at nearby Caples Lake and Silver Lake. There is fabulous local hiking in the surrounding wilderness areas as well as amazing biking in nearby South Lake Tahoe.

Why the Owner Chose Kirkwood
My husband and I have been skiing for years at Kirkwood - for many reasons - the best snow in Tahoe, great variability in terrain, never crowded, beautiful drive up, closest good snow to the Bay area, etc.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We looked at many condos and houses over the last few years, but when we walked into this place, we knew we were home! We love the BIG open space upstairs with great light and expansive views of the slopes out of all the windows - just the place we want to come and hang out with our family and friends. Lots of space for everyone and a very short walk (or shuttle) to the slopes. We come home for lunch and then hit the slopes again in the afternoon. What could be better? Keep an eye out for coyotes at dusk. They're beautiful!
