Casa Jardin, our Taos Mountain view home, is situated in a small compound located in a quiet, old neighborhood. Bounded by an open field, it is within a 15 minute walk or quick drive to the Plaza where you will find craft shops, art galleries, bookstores and restaurants. Head north 20 miles to the world famous Taos Ski Basin (now allowing snowboarding) and don't miss the impressive Taos Pueblo.
Casa Jardin, built in 2008, is approximately 1700 square feet and features three bedrooms and two baths. The house is designed in the traditional southwest style with tile floors throughout and viga ceilings in the kitchen, dining and living areas which look out toward Taos Mountain. A corner kiva fireplace warms the living room (also radiant heat), and firewood is provided. French doors open to the walled back patio area where you can enjoy cooking on the gas grill and dining al fresco. The well equipped kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The handsome hand-crafted mesquite table will seat eight comfortably. There is also a game table for Scrabble players and jig-saw puzzle experts.
The spacious master bedroom and bath with a large Mexican tiled shower are separate from the other two bedrooms which share a full bath. The master has a king sized bed and a comfortable sitting/reading area with French doors opening to the back patio. The second bedroom has a king which can convert to twin beds while the third bedroom has twin beds. Excellent mattresses, high quality linens, comforters and plenty of pillows ensure a good night's sleep. Furnishings are of a high standard and include folk art collected by the owners on their travels throughout the world. We hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do.

I didn't really want to leave our home since we had been on the road all summer, but we had signed up for a painting class in Taos, so we were committed. Halfway through our stay at Casa Jardin, I said to Tim that this was the best thing we could have done. It was as nice as being home, yet we had nothing to do but enjoy this lovely place. We like to cook, and there was every cooking utensil, pot, or bowl that we needed. We had gorgeous nights, perfect for sitting outside at the little table for supper, or the comfortable lounge chairs. The rugs and art were amazing, not what you would expect in a place for rent. And the sheets! I could go on and on. We are looking forward to returning to this lovely place.

Like all the other reviews, our family found this place to be wonderful! We enjoyed being at a location that is off the main road, but within 5 minutes of almost anywhere you would want to go in Taos. If you have a family and looking for a place to stay, this is it. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

Casa Jardin is a real treat. One of those rare rentals that has everything you need - and a few things you wouldn't even have thought of. The location is central and the views are outstanding. We found it to be immediately comfortable. Excellent.

Casa Jardin is a jewel, beautifully furnished and perfectly outfitted for our recent stay in February, 2010. A wonderful home base for exploring Taos and skiing; we rose early to see the sun light up the mountain and gathered around the comforting fireplace in the evening. The house and its views are wonderful and we could not have asked for better accomodations.

Wonderful is an understatement about our recent stay (December 27th.'09 to Jan. 2nd, 2010) at Casa Jardin. The home was far above our expectatons. The view was indeed spectacular and the quality of the house impeccable. Spending six nights, it was truly our "home away from home." While the children (all grown) and grandson went to the ski valley, my wife and I kept our nineteen-month-old granddaughter company. The fireplace was just the right touch as a focal point for the family to gather each evening. The decor was supurb with the masks and the carvings adding just the right accent. We really did not want to leave but work was calling, alas, we had to give up our hide-a-way and return to the real world. This is the place to spend time. Not too close, nor too far from the real world...Would recommend it above question....We will be back...!!! Jim Helmke, Floresville, TX.....

I've been going to Taos for over 20 years and for the last five or six, I've been looking for the perfect getaway, the place I could return to as my Taos "home away from home." Casa Jardin is it! Set in my favorite part of town -- to the west of the plaza, rather than to the east where most of the other tourist traffic is -- the location is perfect. The area is residential, quiet, tucked underneath huge cottonwood trees, but is a very pleasant amble to the heart of town. The owners have thought of everything, from the fully equipped kitchen to patio furniture outside to the beautifully decorated interior. The house is light, airy, spacious and had everything we needed. We just loved it and fully intend to return. Thank you for your thoughtfulness in creating such a wonderful place to land in Taos!

Casa de Jardin is incredibly comfortable, elegant and in a perfect location. The view of Taos mountains is amazing. And the beds were the best in town! The masks were so much fun too. Casa de Jardin was the best part of our Taos ski get-away!
