Such a perfect spot. Fantastic location. Beautiful views from the family room and deck. Kids actually wanted to share a room! The double bunk beds are a great idea. They had space of their own in the den to watch movies as well, while the adults could relax in the family room. It was great to let the kids go downstairs on their own to play frisbee in the grassy area while we could watch them from the deck. Can't say enough positive things about the property. The owner is so nice to work with. We loved our stay and will for sure be coming back!

What a beautiful place to spend Christmas with Family! This condo was perfect for 10 people--our family of 5 and my sister's family of 5. Two couples with 6 adult children in all--plenty of room for all. The resort is so convenient as a true ski-in and ski-out location, too. This condo at Purgatory Lodge was more than we expected and we hope to go back again. The owner was so accommodating and we found the condo in excellent condition as promised. Not all of us were skiers, but there was so much to do at this place--snowmobile riding, snowshoe tours, sitting by the firepit at Purgy's outside--and much more!!! We would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice snowy winter retreat or I am sure it is just as nice in the warner months! Can't wait to return--great place!

Lovely setting, large corner unit with views, cozy fireplace, and a small veranda with a grill where we barbecued steaks. The mountain view where breakfast is served on floor 1 is stunning. The children enjoyed making waffles. We also had family fun in the large jacuzzi and heated pool with a slide. Mark, the owner, went out of his way to be helpful and responsive. We are looking forward to going back.

Our two families stayed here as part of our annual summer get away. 9 people, 4 adults and 5 kids ages 7-14, were very comfortable here. The unit is new with beautiful furniture and is extremely clean. The lodge's exercise room is large and the pool kept the kids busy for hours. We were there in the summer so a hike up the mountain was a must. Highly recommend this place!

Our three musts are: Clean, Comfortable and Quiet. This place was five stars for all. There were three couples and two grandchildren (ages 4 to 65!) in our party. We also entertained some friends out on the deck and inside for dining before the Natalie McMaster concert (Music in the Mountains). The whole experience was fabulous. The valet and check in folks were ready and very helpful. We all slept soundly as it is very quiet in the unit even with the windows open; we all remarked how comfy the beds were, as you always wonder about that in rental condos. The owners and cleaning staff are obviously very responsible with their property. There is nothing like staying up at Purgatory Lodge with family & friends in the summer or winter. Durango was 100 degrees that day and busy as can be; when we got up to Durango Mountain Resort it was still warm (80 degrees), but this condo is so well laid out and comfortable, and so many windows (wooden shutters to block out as needed). We felt right at home. Swimming in the pool and mountain biking...we did it all and had slept if off for the next day. For breakfast there is the basic, free continental breakfast downstairs in the Club setting, or outside and to the Mtn deli with eggs and meat entrees to eat on the resort's plaza, or take it back to the condo. DMR also has lots of activities for any ages, which the grandparents indulged in. We'll be booking for a huge powder skiing R&R in February for sure! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and easy. This is how every night away from home should be spent.

We very much enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo. The pictures did not do this property justice, it was like walking into a magazine photo! The kitchen had beautiful granite and stainless steel appliances and had everything stocked! Everything about our stay there was fantastic. Everyone I talked to, from the owner to the front desk were very helpful and I would definately recommend this property!!:) This is my first experience with VRBO and I'm very pleased with the outcome!
