The greater Hebgen Lake area is easily accessible from the Bozeman, Mt Airport (90 miles from the cabin) and the seasonal airport at West Yellowstone Airport during May-October (16 miles from cabin). The cabin has all-year round access from Highway 287 and Marina Loop (the street the cabin is located on) is kept plowed all winter by the homeowner's association. The greater West Yellowstone, Hebgen Lake area has unlimited all-season activities. The cabin is located just 19 miles from the West Yellowstone gate into Yellowstone National Park.
The Madison River, which flows out of the park and into Hebgen Lake, is a world class blue-ribbon trout fishing habitat. Within a 30-mile radius from the cabin, there are numerous lakes, wilderness areas, the Continental Divide, high country lakes, and national wildlife refuges. The opportunities to access hundreds miles of trail systems start right behind the cabin; some trails are for dirt bikes/ATV's and some are for hiking/horseback only.
World famous Henry's Lake is 12 miles from the cabin, or less than 30 minutes by automobile. In addition, there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile and cross country trails for the winter season; both inside the park and at your back door. There is world class downhill skiing available; 50 miles away at Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin Resort.
West Yellowstone has numerous opportunities to rent snowmobiles and equipment, or ski equipment. You can snowmobile to town and back from the cabin. In addition, there are two restaurant/bars within 5 miles of the cabin.
