Our extremely large 1 bedroom /1 bath is located along the beautiful Kona coastline. Decor is impeccable and tropical by nature throughout the house.
The large fully equipped kitchen is the center of attention and includes a small eating bar. The Ohana room (family room) has a futon couch/bed, an additional sitting area for you to talk about your day and entertainment center with TV, DVD and stereo. A desk is also available for your laptop use. Wireless internet access & cable access ready at no additional charge!
The spacious bedroom suite has a king size bed and is complete with a cozy sitting area for your private TV viewing or just relaxing. Outside is a sitting area with tropical flora, complete with an outdoor gas grill for your BBQ pleasure.
There is beach access across the street and a popular fishing spot as well. In the late afternoon, the Hawaiian Honu (turtle) can be seen feeding on the shoreline rocks. Located just a short 1.5 miles from the heart of Kona, this affordable hale is ideally located.
Kona town has the resort amenities for you vacation, yet is quiet and quaint enough so you can relax. You will not find row after row of night clubs, instead you will find shoreline eateries, shopping and historical points of interest along the way. Eat at one of the many restaurants or local eateries, have a drink and watch the gorgeous sunsets in the warmth of the evening.
Kona, famous for its coffee, volcano and fishing is a haven for vacationers. There are several golf courses to choose from and tennis courts nearby. There are also several water sports for charter such as fishing, diving and snorkeling. In and around town we have several types of shopping to choose from, including; an outdoor flea market, craft fairs, international market and of course the boardwalk shops.
Culture and history is in abundance. There is so much to do and see on the big island! Just down the street there is a great snorkel beach, which is a Honu preserve, as well as white sands beach for swimming and body surfing.
For all you surfers, there are several spots within 3 miles of our home. For those of you who are "Tour" minded there are several great land and sea tours available. If you are inclined to spending your money, you can parasail, go sport fishing, take a helicopter tour, hiking or horseback riding.
The big island is the youngest of a chain of Hawaiian island. A driving trip around the island will take you to natural sites not seen anywhere else in the us. The big island is rich in culture and beauty. We have waterfalls cascading into pools nestled amidst the natural rain forest.
Mauna Kea is the highest point in the us and has snow capped peaks in the winter for skiing (for those who dare) - it also is home to the observatory, where there are tours and other educational show.
South point is the southern most point of the us, neighbor to green sands beach (put on your hiking shoes) don't forget to walk the crater at volcano national park, or just walk down the street and lay on the beach or snorkel at Kahalu'U Beach Park.
