We stayed for a week in April. It was the best mexico trip I have ever taken. The accomodations were wonderful, people were friendly and the ocean was great. Our entire family loved it and want to come back. Great for a family.

Another great stay at beautiful Villas La Estancia! The Villa is exceptional with a great view of the pool and ocean. The condo is even BETTER than the pictures. I have been traveling to Mexico for 40 years now, and this resort offers the best of both worlds: a very high end resort with all the amenities and close proximity to the town of Bucerias for great food and culture. I cannot say enough good things about it. Go !

Renting this unit was the right choice for me and my family. It was our first time to the area and we were not sure what to choose, but we are very glad we ended up with this unit. My wife and I had our two boys (3 & 5) and my parents joined our spring break trip too. The unit is beautiful and nicely located on the 2nd floor on the ocean side of the resort. The Villa La Estancia is an exceptional resort operation - great pools, hot tubs, restaurant, spa - and the staff was very friendly and truly focused on making our stay a great experience (it stood out above any hotel or resort experience we've had). The staff was also very effective in helping us set up some day trips such as a visit to downtown Puerto Vallarta, zip-lining, and a boat tour of the bay. Our kids loved the pool area and playing in the sand on the beach. There was a bit of a strong undertow at the beach that might bother some younger kids, but since our kids are more interested in the pool at this point it was not an issue. There were dozens of older kids (8+) and adults enjoying boogie boarding and other activities just fine. The pricing of this unit was very fair and we appreciated the All-In nature of the pricing, where taxes and a couple room cleanings during our stay were included in the deal (the cleaning staff was also great). We mainly enjoyed the offerings of the two on-site restaurants and the two restaurants next door at the Villa del Palmar (literally a 100-yard wald next door from the unit) because the food was so good. There is also a small convenience/grocery store at the Villa Del Palmar where you can pick up some breakfast foods or snacks easily enough. A taxi ride to Wal-Mart and back may have saved us some food money over the week, but as I mentioned we were enjoying the restaurants too much to worry about it. This unit worked great for us and we would rent it again next time we can arrange a chance to go back. Good luck on your trip. --Stan

We just returned from a seven night stay in Villa La Estancia Unit 1202 in early February 2009. It was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to go back. The Villa is incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed. From the furniture to the fixtures, everything is very high end. It truly was a luxury villa! The kitchen was perfect for cooking in and there is a great store, Mega, 5 minutes away that is like a Costco with its own meat market, great produce, and everything you might need. We hardly left the resort! But when we did, the small town of Bucerias, 5 minutes away, has a great market and small boutiques, and killer restaurants. The owner had some menus and cards at the villa to recommend the good spots and we tried them all! The Camarones a la Diabla at the Brujo restaurant can't be missed, also the red snapper at Tino's is a must have. Thanks to the owners for the great recommendations! The location of 1202 was key to enjoying the resort. From every room in the place you can see the waves crashing on the beach. We slept with the doors open to the patio every night and were serenaded by the sound of the ocean. Don't be fooled, there are only a few villas that are close enough to the beach to hear the waves crashing. Getting up in the morning and having coffee on the balcony is like being right on the beach. Cocktail hour has never been so perfect! The resort itself is immaculate, definitely the nicest we have ever stayed at in Mexico and it rivals the best resorts in the world. Villa 1202 is perfect for 2 couples with or without kids, to enjoy time together and also be able to have your own space and privacy. We are so happy that we stayed here. We will never stay anywhere else in Puerto Vallarta because clearly Villa La Estancia is the crown of the Banderas Bay.

Great Villa in Nuevo Vallarta... lots of space and right on the beach, 1st class all the way! The Villa faces the ocean, 2nd floor view... easy access for kids and very safe. Great decor inside (flat screen tv's, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances). The pool area is great for kids and adults... walk in pool for kids and very shallow area is great for your little ones... swim up bar is great for the adults! 1st class service and the grouds are really beautiful. Beach is well manicured, hammocks, chairs, etc You can walk beach to see where the sea turtles hatch and also to Bucerias where there is a great market and restaurants. Great spa, restaurants, and exercise ammenities on site... perfect for a family vacation getaway!
