You wake up to a sunrise on the bay and views of Bourne to the north and Martha's Vineyard to the south. The place is completely tranquil - the only sounds are the gentle lapping of the water on the shore, the occasional bird or cricket and maybe the sound of someone making fresh coffee in the kitchen. A perfect place to unwind - it feels like a thousand miles from the big city.
The furnishings are immaculate, decorated in typical Cape Cod Style. You will feel at home, the moment you step inside.
Take a walk on the beach or a long swim in the calm water; you can fish from the dinghy or off the pier, walk to the sail club and tennis courts or just do nothing - enjoy the magnificent views and leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city. Return from a fishing trip and barbeque your catch on the beautiful deck facing the bay. No traffic - no bridges to cross to get there and no crowded beaches!

- Fairhaven has a few nice restaurants -such as Margaret's and Elizabeth's but my favorite place is "How on Earth" (www.howonearth.net) which is also the closest to our house. You can also venture to Westport (Back Eddy's) and Bittersweet or stay close and have some delightful seafood at Turks. Have great Irish food at the Mattapoisett Inn on the wharf and watch the boats go by. The property is about 12 miles from UMASS Dartmouth.
