Hi, we're Tim and LuAnn Boone from Rocklin, CA. I'm a retired veterinarian and LuAnn is a CEO school administrator. We both graduated from the University of Illinois in the early 1970's. After selling my veterinary practice in Illinois in 1984, we moved to California to raise our family and expand our careers. We have 2 sons and a daughter, all college graduates, all living in California, and we are blessed with 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. We love going to Maui at least twice a year and also love snow skiing and golfing. We're only 2 hours from the Lake Tahoe area, go there often, and love it. We also feel obliged to go to Las Vegas several times each year just to make sure everything is on the "up and up"! I am an avid amateur photographer and especially love underwater photography when in Maui. My pictures are what you'll find all over our condo walls when you visit. LuAnn is an avid reader, and I love splitting time between my Harley Davidson Street Glide and Ultra Classic "Limited"!
Why the Owner Chose Kamaole Sands
We have vacationed many times in Maui and Kauai, but liked the Kihei / Wailea Maui area the best for many reasons and therefore chose the Kamaole 3 Beach location to buy our first condo. Our condo is located in Building 10 of Kamaole Sands Resort. This offers the closest access to the beach in the entire complex with awesome ocean views. As you drive south along South Kihei Rd., Kamaole Sands just catches your eye as the coolest place around, and it is!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Most of all, we love the very close access to a breathtaking beach. Each evening we take a Mai Tai, a beach chair, and a camera in hand and do the 3 minute walk to the beach for the sunset. It has become a ritual for us. In the wintertime, whales really put on the show, right in your own backyard! Take a swim or go snorkeling off our beach, and you can swim with the turtles and triggerfish! You have so many choices for fantastic local dining in Kihei/Wailea, or if you want, you can cook out just a few yards from the condo. And, with our new stainless steel kitchen, cooking in the condo and eating on the lanai is a real treat! Kihei and Wailea shopping is fantastic for everyday needs as well as some of the most famous shops in the world for those unique "one of a kind" items. You fly directly into Kahului from so many locations, and it is just 16 miles up the road and has just about anything you want to shop for. It's just a great all around choice for a fantastic vacation!

I have been going to Maui once or twice a year for about 22 years and staying at the Kamaole Sands in South Kihei, I have on occasion stayed in other resorts around Maui but always return to the Kamaole Sands... The “Boone 5 Condo” at Kamaole Sands is by far the best I have stayed at. The extensive remodeling is not only aesthetically pleasing but functional.Having an Island agent is also a plus. Nice job Tim & LuAnn, hopefully “Boone 5 Condo” will be available this next year for another 2 or 3 weeks.

It was our 4th trip to Maui and also the 4th time at Kamaole Sands. The location is great since the beach is literally 2 minutes away, there are great places to eat within a short walking distance but it's still quiet and not busy. Fred's is only a short walk away and a great place to eat! Of the 4 units we've stayed in, this was certainly the best. Easy access to the beach, a large lanai and still close to the BBQs. The kitchen is nicely stocked and modern and the king bed is great when 10:00pm comes around and the whole town shuts down. Not to worry, you'll be ready for bed at 10:00! In a nutshell, we definitely recommend this condo!

The condo was beautiful with all the amenities of home. The views from the lanai were wonderful. Very nice to have a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable. We were surprised at how quiet it was at night, we turned on the fan in the bedroom at night and never heard any noise. Weather was perfect, mid 80's during the day and 70 at night. The condo facilities were very nice, beautifully landscaped, pool was nice and not very busy, the grills were great. Staff at the front desk were very helpful. We enjoyed the free Mai Tai party on Wednesday afternoon. There are beautiful beaches across the street and in the area. Our favorite activities were driving to Hana, we drove all the way around and the sites were breath taking and we went on a great snorkeling trip. There was a "Maui Revealed" book in the condo and a CD to play on the way to Hana, both were great resources for our drive to Hana. The snorkeling trip we took was to Molokini through the Pacfic Whale Foundation. We saw tons of fish in crystal clear blue water and then went to a 2nd spot to see Sea turtles. We didn't want to leave!

We had a great time during our stay in Boone 5 Condo. It is a fine condo with nice decor & it is very fully stocked with useful items, from cookware to reef fish identification books (not one but two of the best!). The southern Kihei location is an excellent one -- it is walking distance to some excellent restaurants & also to the Kihei boat ramp (making it very convenient for Molokini visits). Plus it is within an easy drive of LOTS of outstanding spots for snorkeling from shore. Very hard to leave.

This was our third time staying at the Boone 5 condo and it just keeps getting better and better! We started our vacation at the Westin in Kaanapali - yes, it was lovely, but we felt like we had arrived 'home' when we got to the Boone's condo! They have everything you need - lots of space, a beautiful lanai, fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable king size bed...the list could go on and on! The beaches in Kihei, Wailea and Makena are beautiful. There are many good restaurants to choose from or you can take advantage of the great kitchen in the condo and cook up something delicious! Now we just have to figure out a way to go more often! We highly recomment this condo...everything is perfect!

We had a wonderful vacation at "Boone 5". Your condo was everything you said it would be and more! This was our 2nd time at Kamaole Sands and as far as we are concerned there is no other place on Maui we would rather be. And the view from 10-113 was incredible....those sunsets!!!! 2013 here we come......

You can't ask for anything more from this. Great location in Kihei, so close to the beach, and surprisingly quiet in a busy area. Also, a great plus for parents was the huge HD TV and PVR. We were able to watch shows after the kids went to bed. The condo is fully stocked with everything from pool toys, coolers and towels. All the comforts of home. It's perfect!

Sadly, we have just returned from our Maui vacation. We loved it! Your place made the stay. The pictures on your website are very accurate. Your suite is very creature comfort designed and “fully stocked kitchen” is a good description. Doris was also really kind and helpful. She keeps the place great! Kamaole Sands is a beautiful property. The pool and hot tub area are well kept and lounge seating is plentiful (the pool area is actually even nicer than the picture shows). The BBQ area is also well kept and easy to use. The illuminated fountain area just across from your Lanai make a beautiful evening atmosphere, as sunset is so early. We got to see turtles while we were snorkelling! (amazing) Go to Tommy Bahama's for happy hour! Can’t wait to return!

Our 28 day stay in the Boone 5 Condo was the best accommodation we have experienced in all our trips to Hawaii. Location, size and view from the lani is the best in the complex and would have been enough to make us happy. In addition, the furniture, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer, T.V.'s and accessories were top of the line! The Boone's were great to work with, being very cooperative and efficient. We felt the condo was a 'home away from home' and have already booked it for next year.
