Relaxing in style!

My stay was perfect in every way! I entertained friends and family during the 10 days I spent and Sue Casa and they all found it delightful and different than a normal summer rental. We were able to enjoy the horses grazing in the fields next to the property as well as the gorgerous landscaping surrounding each of the outdoor eating areas.

I am one of those crazy planners, a perfectionist to the core, and when I organize my ‘getaways’ I spend ridiculous amounts of time researching places until I’m blue in the face; I want to ensure my stay will be faultless. Well, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble: no research was needed, this place is perfect! It is SO beautiful. You can see horses through just about every window in the house, the furnishings lovely, the bedding comfortable, spices, coffee, dishes and cooking supplies at the ready, and the house manager, Nancy, was so accommodating. This place is pure luxury out in the country. The pool and outdoor barbecue were a great bonus. The courtyard was the perfect place to sit and have coffee in the morning or read a book. Wineries are SO close, many even on the same street, along with groceries, and a little goat farm with yummy cheeses. Everything is close, but the home is very private. My friends and I agreed to come back annually because we had the perfect stay. I can’t wait until next year!

We visited Sue Casa to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday with friends. It is by far the most elegant yet comfortable home I've ever had the privilege to rent. The grounds are spectacular and the amenities are incredible. We took advantage of the amazing kitchen, outdoor kitchen, and heated pool daily. There was plenty of space for both adults and kids. The beds were comfortable and Derek (the owner) was a jewel. I can't wait to get back for a follow-up visit.

Sue Casa proved a perfect venue for our family gathering; its grounds and the house itself bespeak a warm, welcoming hospitality. A beautiful place, well-equipped and very comfortable, interesting, lovely gardens, too.

A week-end in paradise

We loved our stay. It's rare that you find a place that is more spacious and beautiful than the website pictures. Your staff is so nice and helpful. We enjoyed getting to meet Derek. He's a wonderful landlord. FYI We did find a dead mouse by the pull-out sofa and one in the pool. My husband disposed of both. We had the best time and we hope to be back some day.

Luxury and Comfort in the Casa

The house was simply amazing. The beds were quite comfortable and the sitting areas outside were wonderful for taking in an amazing view of the hills and surrounding horse property. My husband and I along with 2 other couples loved making dinner and breakfast together in the kitchen. The grill and appliances were top notch. Sue Casa was a wonderful retreat to come back to after a day of whale watching, golf and wine tasting.

Beautiful grounds surrounding the house with plenty of area to move around. Although the inside of the house is large, the setup of the bedrooms would be better with larger beds rather than the smaller sizes in ALL the rooms. Also noticed little things like cabinet knobs falling off, drawers sticking, etc that would be easily fixed if a handyman came through to check it out.

I felt Like I was in a home of "The Rich & Famous"

The quintessential California adobe ranch home, overlooking acres of horse property. This home far exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable, relaxing and the ultimate weekend retreat. I cannot stop telling people about this home. It had so much character and warmth. It was so hard to leave...and I will be back!

Holiday Vacation at Sue Casa

Guest: Connie
Date of Stay: 12/26/08 Review Submitted: 09/12/11

Our family had a very enjoyable stay at Sue Casa. We enjoyed reading about the history of the house and its occupants and particularly enjoyed the sizable kitchen for preparing our family meals. Thanks for having the basics availble. We always carry a couple of good chef's knives and a few spices, but there is always something we forgot. We were close to wine and olive oil tasting, and also took Nancy's advice and visited the Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Park. On the day we visited the Hearst Castle we viewed the walrus seals in their birthing and mating location up the coast. After buying a universal remote for the t.v. (we needed one at home) we were able to use the dvd and television better. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
