Our wonderful home at Silver Sands Racquet Club is available for your desert retreat. Silver Sands is located at the corner of Country Club Drive and Portola Avenue. Our address is 4 PAUME LANE - in the quiet section, away from the traffic noise of Portola or Country Club Drive - Marriott's Desert Springs Golf Course is adjacent to the end of our street. Silver Sands is a wonderful guard-gated community of friendly owners with 256 individual patio homes - built in clusters around 15 different swimming pools.
Great privacy! All homes are Spanish style with courtyards and 2 car garages. Gorgeous views of the Santa Rosa mountains and Mt. San Jacinto throughout the neighborhood. The tennis complex has 8 courts, a club house & tennis pro on site from October through May. There is no cost to tenants to play tennis. Lessons are available for a fee.
Our home was completely remodeled in the last 6 years. Expanded from 1070 square feet to 1240 square feet - everything from the patio surfaces to interior floors, kitchen, baths, windows, doors & more were completely redone. The owners were contractors & this was their full-time home. Terrazzo floors, baths and fireplace place; slab granite kitchen, high end fixtures, new air conditioning, wine refrigerator and more.
There is a 2nd refrigerator and storage cupboards in the garage. New wrought iron patio furniture & cushions by Woodard along with a Weber gas BBQ enhance the outdoor living. Dramatic night lighting of the courtyard is on timers.

A Cut Above
As a former owner of a Silver Sands condo, I knew in advance that this resort is ideally located and has generous open areas and lush landscaping. As far as this particular unit is concerned, the location is well within the development, away from traffic noise, and only steps away from the pool and spa. Perhaps the main thing that sets this unit apart from others is the extensive and tasteful remodel, which makes this 1980s condo seem like it is brand new! The pictures tell the story. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return.

Absolutely lovely... immaculate, organized, and very well-appointed. Better than expected! The master bed is heaven, the remodeling is really quality work throughout. Bob and Eleanor are great hosts...we really didn't have many questions and settled in quickly. Lots of supplies already there, so that really made it comfortable, too! Hey...85-95 deg. every day and a beautiful place to relax in with a pool outside in a quiet lovely setting ...what more could you ask for??? I just wish we'd been able to stay for 2 months...one isn't long enough. I really don't want to say more about how great it was or we'll never ever find it available!

Had a great vacation!! The condo was just as the pictures showed. It was very clean and maintained. Lots of windows that let light in. Kitchen and misc supplies very stocked. We enjoyed our time there. Thank you for sharing your home with us

Eleanor is a great communicator. Directions, instructions and every little detail was provided in an email or in a neatly organized binder in the unit. Tons of restaurants and shopping close by. Absolutely perfect location. The unit was very private and very well decorated. My wife fell in love with the decor and she's got a decorator's eye. Looking forward to using this condo again in the future.

We have spent March and April in this beautiful upgraded condo for the last 3 years and we have loved every moment of it. We are only giving it up because we are purchasing our own place. Silver Sands is a great development. The setting is delightful and the people are very friendly. No matter the age, tennis is available for all levels. The Pros are terrific. The unit has been totallly upgraded and very modern. The pool is right outside the back door. The diningroom has large sliding doors which make you feel you are eating outdoors. You couldn't ask for a better rental. This is the perfect getaway!

What a nice place to be! Everything you want to do while you’re there is within minutes of this very comfortable and centrally located home away. The entire condo has been designed and outfitted with consideration to quality and convenience. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and then some. Tastefully decorated inside and out - great audio/visual equipment. We particularly enjoyed the attractive private courtyard, and the convenience of international long distance and both broadband and wifi. Owners great to work with.

We love to get away to the desert and this unit is perfect for us. It's very light and cheery and has all the necessary amentities. It's fun to open all the glass doors and windows and let the fresh air come through. The unit was spotless and very comfy. We had a great time!

About the owner: We (Bob Schoos & Eleanor Kent) are the happy owners of this wonderful home in Silver Sands Racquet Club. Given that we live in Redmond, WA where it rains/drizzles from October through June every year - you can understand why a desert home is appealing. Eleanor is a full time real estate agent with Windermere Real Estate in Bellevue, WA and Bob is a retired banker who is now tutoring NCAA schlorship at the University of Washington - so full time desert living is not possible at this point in time. We knew that an empty home is not a healthy home so have chosen to open our home for other's enjoyment.

We purchased our wonderful home for 3 reasons: location, a total high-end remodel had just been completed and the 'G' floorplan had been expanded during the remodel. Our location is in the 'quiet section' of Silver Sands. Silver Sands is a great community with friendly owners - many from the Pacific Northwest and Canada.
