We immediately felt at home when we entered Seacliff. Wonderfully decorated, beautiful view of the ocean, short walk to beach and we even saw a bald eagle soar by! We can't wait to go back. We wouldn't change a thing.

Sea Cliff

We had a wonderful 4 days at Sea Cliff celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and New Years. Our big arrival surprise was that the house was still adorning its full Christmas costume including a Christmas tree with all the bells and whistles. The house is cozy, well furnished, and very comfortable. You cannot get any closer to the crashing waves, nor find a nicer beach in all of Oregon. We felt that we owned the beach as there was hardly anyone ever enjoying it. We enjoyed a fire in the wood stove every day which added to the romance of our stay. The house is a little close to highway 101, but it did not bother any of us in the least. Parking is tight, but manageable for 2 cars. The only down side for us was there is no hot tub. Man that would be the frosting on the cake if we could have enjoyed those views sitting in a hot tub next to the deck overlooking the crashing waves!!! Maybe next year??? Thanks to Vickie for all her efforts, she helped make this an amazing mini-vacation.

Home by the Sea feels like visiting friends

We had a great time at Sea Cliff. The home was clean, comfortable, and decorated seasonally. We felt so welcome and comfortable it was like we were visiting life-long friends. We had plenty of space for a family of four adults and two young children. The owner even purchased and set up a high chair and crib for our infant. The kitchen is large enough and equipped with all the necessities to cook meals there. The sitting area in the sun room with the sea view is a real treat. We shared many great meals at the dining table there. And don't miss lounging in the oversize chair in the sun room either. We all fought over who got to read in chair next. The beach is right out the back door but guests have to walk a few hundred yards to the access point to actually get to the water. Even though we were visiting in October and the water was too cold to swim in, we made it to the beach daily. Also especially helpful were the area guides the owner has assembled for guests. From restaurants to fun activities, we didn't have to look far to figure out where we were headed next. We enjoyed visiting the areas great tide pools, historical light houses, and pier area. We also enjoyed venturing along the cost to the Tilamook Cheese factory and the Evergreen Air and Space Museum.

Eastern Oregon

My family and I had a great stay at Seacliff. It was a very spacious, comfortable house. We used the deck to watch whales, sunsets, and waves. We walked down 2 minutes to the beach and spent many hours riding waves, building sandcastles, and playing with our dogs. The back yard was fully inclosed with a privacy fence, and held our 2 dogs with no trouble. We enjoyed using out of the busy Newport, where it was quiet, but it only took us 5 minutes to drive into Newport. We were only a couple minutes from Seal Rock where we enjoyed tidepools, and kite flying. The quiet house was great for our kids taking naps, reading, relaxing. The rooms were spacious. We really appreciated the fully stocked house. Washer, dryer, utensils, dining wear, snacks, water, cleaning supplies......The list goes on and on. I would definitely recommend this house to any vacationers, and we will probably be back in the next year.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house overlooks the ocean which provides ever-changing beautiful scenery to marvel at 24/7. The property is accurately described and is well worth going to. The house is equipped with everything you might need and then some. It is a very convenient location....near Newport, but far enough away from town to enjoy peace and quiet. It rained a good part of the time but we were easily able to drive north to Tillamook and south to Florence to sight-see. The Newport Aquarium, the Hatfield Research Center, and the Yaquina lighthouses are so interesting. Saw seals and whales at Yaquina Head. Georgie's is a very good restaurant in Newport. I would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives.

Our family had a wonderful time at this very quaint beautifully decorated, clean and superbly stocked beach front cottage. Not a thing was needed in the kitchen for gourmet food preparation and presentaton but BBQ should be replaced and kept out of the sea air. The owner has supplied extraordinary visitor information and was very helpful. Beach access difficult for 55+ yrs. Vehicle parking limitations must be watched. We wouild highly recommend this property for a fun filled get away.

Had a great relaxing long weekend. Weather was fantastic. View was superb. Home very well maintained and clean. Loved the fact was pet friendly. Plan to return in fall/winter for stormy weather.

We had a wonderful time at Sea Cliff. The cottage was clean, furnished with everything you might need, views are amazing, beds comfy and waking up to the sound of the ocean is just wonderful! We saw whales on Saturday night and Sunday morning.....what a delight! The deck is perfect for picture taking. We celebrated our son's 40th birthday. The weather was a little cloudy/wet...but it didn't matter. We had a great fire in the fireplace two evenings. Took walks on the beach which is so close by...found jasper and agates. It was a perfect family vacation. Thank you, Vicki, for being so helpful. Sea Cliff will see us again!

First sunny day this spring

My family and I were thrilled when we were able to meet the first really warm and sunny day of the season in the Newport area. And what better place to greet it than Sea Cliff? Nowhere. The house was so spacious with fabulous light and so many very thoughtful details throughout the house: snacks, full coffee set-up (better than many hotels), nice fluffy towels, notebooks with details and maps of the area, marvelous little soaps and even a bucketful of flip-flops to borrow! We have stayed in many rental homes on the Oregon coast and I must say that Vicki's attention to detail and her obvious care of her guests will certainly bring us back. These details are impossible to see in the photos and were so delightful to discover in addition to the wonderful amount of space that the home has for those lucky enough to stay there. I, too, had a concern about the road access to the beach with my dog, but given all of the pluses of the property and the relative seclusion of that part of the beach, it tends to pale by comparison. The home is sandwiched nicely between Newport and the quaint and wonderful Waldport/Yahats area. This allowed us to enjoy many activities in a short stay. We went antique and rock shopping in Yahats in addition to visiting a fabulous fudge factory and glass blowing studio in that area. Ona Beach State Park hosted us for a nice walk and Newport awaited us with the wonderful aquarium and funny/funky pirate-themed area outside of it. In the old town portion of Newport, we listened to sunning seals and sealions where I enjoyed the best clams I have ever eaten while my family loved the chowder and fresh oysters. Sea Cliff welcomed us home after a busy day with a first-rate view of the sun going down on the Pacific. After an excellent night's rest on one of the most comfy mattresses I have ever slept on, in one of the three well-appointed rooms, we were regretfully on our way up 101 with all of us wishing for the opportunity to stay there another night! Another time to be sure.

CHARMING BEACH HOUSE - beautiful OCEAN VIEWS from most rooms!

You need to check this place out, we are so glad we stayed here. We felt at home immediately. A charming comfortable spacious house. Very nice amenities and beach access very close by. This was a Sister Trip and we all had a great time enjoying the wonderful sounds and views of the ocean (from just about every room) plus all the town and surrounding areas had to offer. We will be back! Each room even has it's very own thermostat, very nice for any chilly evening. Vicki takes good care of you and even has a 3 ring binder of some places to go, things to do and see. How helpful. The South Beach Crab place had the best fish and best clam chowder hands down (better than Mo's). And be sure to eat at the Chalet Restaurant & Bakery in Newport Beach for good food and great pies. The Owner will make you very welcome.
