Just a wonderful spot right on the beach. Great views with lots of glass. The owner/agent was there to greet us and explain about the house and surrounding area. Dynamic place for summer but also enjoyed early Spring. Fenced for our dogs. A nice quiet spot with the sound of the ocean right out your window. Had a great time. Would go back again, this time in the summer.

We immediately felt at home when we entered Seacliff. Wonderfully decorated, beautiful view of the ocean, short walk to beach and we even saw a bald eagle soar by! We can't wait to go back. We wouldn't change a thing.

We had a wonderful 4 days at Sea Cliff celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and New Years. Our big arrival surprise was that the house was still adorning its full Christmas costume including a Christmas tree with all the bells and whistles. The house is cozy, well furnished, and very comfortable. You cannot get any closer to the crashing waves, nor find a nicer beach in all of Oregon. We felt that we owned the beach as there was hardly anyone ever enjoying it. We enjoyed a fire in the wood stove every day which added to the romance of our stay. The house is a little close to highway 101, but it did not bother any of us in the least. Parking is tight, but manageable for 2 cars. The only down side for us was there is no hot tub. Man that would be the frosting on the cake if we could have enjoyed those views sitting in a hot tub next to the deck overlooking the crashing waves!!! Maybe next year??? Thanks to Vickie for all her efforts, she helped make this an amazing mini-vacation.

Home by the Sea feels like visiting friends

We had a great time at Sea Cliff. The home was clean, comfortable, and decorated seasonally. We felt so welcome and comfortable it was like we were visiting life-long friends. We had plenty of space for a family of four adults and two young children. The owner even purchased and set up a high chair and crib for our infant. The kitchen is large enough and equipped with all the necessities to cook meals there. The sitting area in the sun room with the sea view is a real treat. We shared many great meals at the dining table there. And don't miss lounging in the oversize chair in the sun room either. We all fought over who got to read in chair next. The beach is right out the back door but guests have to walk a few hundred yards to the access point to actually get to the water. Even though we were visiting in October and the water was too cold to swim in, we made it to the beach daily. Also especially helpful were the area guides the owner has assembled for guests. From restaurants to fun activities, we didn't have to look far to figure out where we were headed next. We enjoyed visiting the areas great tide pools, historical light houses, and pier area. We also enjoyed venturing along the cost to the Tilamook Cheese factory and the Evergreen Air and Space Museum.

Eastern Oregon

My family and I had a great stay at Seacliff. It was a very spacious, comfortable house. We used the deck to watch whales, sunsets, and waves. We walked down 2 minutes to the beach and spent many hours riding waves, building sandcastles, and playing with our dogs. The back yard was fully inclosed with a privacy fence, and held our 2 dogs with no trouble. We enjoyed using out of the busy Newport, where it was quiet, but it only took us 5 minutes to drive into Newport. We were only a couple minutes from Seal Rock where we enjoyed tidepools, and kite flying. The quiet house was great for our kids taking naps, reading, relaxing. The rooms were spacious. We really appreciated the fully stocked house. Washer, dryer, utensils, dining wear, snacks, water, cleaning supplies......The list goes on and on. I would definitely recommend this house to any vacationers, and we will probably be back in the next year.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house overlooks the ocean which provides ever-changing beautiful scenery to marvel at 24/7. The property is accurately described and is well worth going to. The house is equipped with everything you might need and then some. It is a very convenient location....near Newport, but far enough away from town to enjoy peace and quiet. It rained a good part of the time but we were easily able to drive north to Tillamook and south to Florence to sight-see. The Newport Aquarium, the Hatfield Research Center, and the Yaquina lighthouses are so interesting. Saw seals and whales at Yaquina Head. Georgie's is a very good restaurant in Newport. I would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives.

Our family had a wonderful time at this very quaint beautifully decorated, clean and superbly stocked beach front cottage. Not a thing was needed in the kitchen for gourmet food preparation and presentaton but BBQ should be replaced and kept out of the sea air. The owner has supplied extraordinary visitor information and was very helpful. Beach access difficult for 55+ yrs. Vehicle parking limitations must be watched. We wouild highly recommend this property for a fun filled get away.

First sunny day this spring

My family and I were thrilled when we were able to meet the first really warm and sunny day of the season in the Newport area. And what better place to greet it than Sea Cliff? Nowhere. The house was so spacious with fabulous light and so many very thoughtful details throughout the house: snacks, full coffee set-up (better than many hotels), nice fluffy towels, notebooks with details and maps of the area, marvelous little soaps and even a bucketful of flip-flops to borrow! We have stayed in many rental homes on the Oregon coast and I must say that Vicki's attention to detail and her obvious care of her guests will certainly bring us back. These details are impossible to see in the photos and were so delightful to discover in addition to the wonderful amount of space that the home has for those lucky enough to stay there. I, too, had a concern about the road access to the beach with my dog, but given all of the pluses of the property and the relative seclusion of that part of the beach, it tends to pale by comparison. The home is sandwiched nicely between Newport and the quaint and wonderful Waldport/Yahats area. This allowed us to enjoy many activities in a short stay. We went antique and rock shopping in Yahats in addition to visiting a fabulous fudge factory and glass blowing studio in that area. Ona Beach State Park hosted us for a nice walk and Newport awaited us with the wonderful aquarium and funny/funky pirate-themed area outside of it. In the old town portion of Newport, we listened to sunning seals and sealions where I enjoyed the best clams I have ever eaten while my family loved the chowder and fresh oysters. Sea Cliff welcomed us home after a busy day with a first-rate view of the sun going down on the Pacific. After an excellent night's rest on one of the most comfy mattresses I have ever slept on, in one of the three well-appointed rooms, we were regretfully on our way up 101 with all of us wishing for the opportunity to stay there another night! Another time to be sure.

Everything was just perfect. Wonderful house, manager was very helpful and we had a great time. The kitchen in particular had everything we looked for, including kabob skewers! You need to check this place out, we are so glad we stayed here. We felt at home immediately. A charming comfortable spacious house. Very nice amenities and beach access very close by. This was a Sister Trip and we all had a great time enjoying the wonderful sounds and views of the ocean (from just about every room) plus all the town and surrounding areas had to offer. We will be back! Each room even has it's very own thermostat, very nice for any chilly evening. Vicki takes good care of you and even has a 3 ring binder of some places to go, things to do and see. How helpful. The South Beach Crab place had the best fish and best clam chowder hands down (better than Mo's). And be sure to eat at the Chalet Restaurant & Bakery in Newport Beach for good food and great pies. The Owner will make you very welcome.

There is so much to see and do in the area, but you will feel so relaxed just watching the ocean and walking on the beach. Enjoy the sea lions on Newport's Bay and the Aquarium. Georgie's has a beautiful, oceanside view for dining....or stay at Sea Cliff, cook, and enjoy the best sunset!

We stayed a week and felt very at home . We feel fortunate to fine such a nice pet friendly house for our spoiled dog, Annie. The weather was very "coastal" and we did see a couple of great sunsets!! The furnishings and hospitality were very good. It was a challenge to find all the light switches. Enjoyed the garage. Was unable to start a fire in the fireplace do to lack of kindling. The only negative was the walk to the beach, but it was workable. The beach was great and we found lots of collectibles. Will stay again in the future, Tim and Terry Arens E. Wenatcee, Wa.

The moment we walked in we felt comfortable. We loved all the welcoming touches-a dish full of snacks, a Welcome to the Beach sign and just decorated with a warm touch. It was like the pictures but just felt so much like it was our own place as it was so cozy and comfortable. So many extra things were waiting there for us like water in the fridge, coffee and filters, plenty of towels in the bathrooms, wood for the fireplace and some little notes set around about the place so we knew how to use things. We felt so welcome. The views were wonderful-4 rooms faced the ocean and had great views. Awesome to see the sunrises and sunsets right out your window. And to just beable to go for a walk on the beach right outside is neat too. One of the highlights in the house is a photo album of all the work that has been done to Seacliff by the owners. Again it gave us a great feeling for the house. So many neat places in Newport itself to visit and the food is wonderful. We ate at Mo's on the Wharf, Fishtails at South Beach, Georgie's on the Ocean, The Chowder Bowl and many more places -all in Newport. . We went down the coast stopping at several little towns and also to the tide pools. We would eat at little cafes and loved them. Also a trip up the coast to Depoe Bay was a great time and visiting lighthouses along the way is a must. The Aquarium is right in the South Beach area of Newport so it should be on your list too. It was our first visit to the Oregon Coast and staying at Seacliff was a delight.

Thank you for the great stay we had! The views are amazing from the house--it was so fun to eat our meals, play scrabble, and read our books with views of the ocean. The beach is wonderful too (the path to the beach is just two houses away)--great for walking and there are streams along the way for your dog to drink from. The house is clean, well cared for, and very comfortable. The Newport Aquarium is one of the best! We're looking forward to our next stay.

My family had a great time at the Sea Cliff Cottage. The house was spotless and very spacious. Everything you could possible need was furnished and all the attention to detials makes you feel right at home. We had a family of 6 adults, 4 children and a dog and never once felt crowded but the weather cooperated and we spent most of the time on the beach. The view is worth a thousand words. As others have stated the beach access is a challenge with children and/or pets but we made it work.

My husband and I first went to Sea Cliff to visit my sister and her husband. They had rented it for 10 days, and we came to spend a night with them. I was hooked. My husband and I spent a weekend in June for our anniversary. We are frequent visitors to the coast and have stayed in some lovely ocean front hotels. When in Newport, we will never stay anywhere but Sea Cliff. Comfortable and charming, RIGHT on the waves. Beautiful view. It is a very whimsical beach cottage and truly an escape. It is pet friendly, but you would never know it. It is immaculate. Views from every room, except the back two bedrooms. Loved sitting on the chaise lounge while watching the waves. Although off a main highway, it is incredibly private and quiet. A small front yard and a nice deck and lawn in the back (ocean view). Nice to have a yard on the coast - for children, pets and wave watching! Hospitality plus! We had a beautiful anniversary card waiting for us. A little basket of snacks and refrigerated water bottles await your arrival. Plenty of wood to keep the fireplace going. The kitchen and bathrooms are tastefully updated. Kitchen has nice appliances and is fully stocked. Even a washer and dryer right off the kitchen. I cannot write enough about our lovely stay. We truly hated to leave. Thank-you Vicki for being so gracious. We give our HIGHEST recommendation to Sea Cliff - a magical and charming stay at the coast.

We had a wonderful time at Sea Cliff. The cottage was clean, furnished with everything you might need, views are amazing, beds comfy and waking up to the sound of the ocean is just wonderful! We saw whales on Saturday night and Sunday morning.....what a delight! The deck is perfect for picture taking. We celebrated our son's 40th birthday. The weather was a little cloudy/wet...but it didn't matter. We had a great fire in the fireplace two evenings. Took walks on the beach which is so close by...found jasper and agates. It was a perfect family vacation. Thank you, Vicki, for being so helpful. Sea Cliff will see us again!

Truly was amazed at how comfortable, well furnished , and cozy this house was...looked exactly as pictured. Made even more wonderful by the fact that I could have my dogs with me; my two dogs were made just as welcomed, as my husband and I. My only complaint is the beach access, which was a 100 yard walk, along a very busy highway, with a "bushwack" trail. This house would be enhanced by having its own beach access next to the deck, so I could have gone onto the beach each morning without dealing with that road. Having my dogs on leashes on that road was just too dangerous. Unfortunately, access to the beach is a big deal to me since I come to the beach, to go to the beach. Vicki was very helpful and answered all my questions. The house was spotless and the beds sooo comfortable. Beach access???

This house has the best view of any we've stayed in on the coast. My mother could just sit and watch the waves all day, which is what she loves to do. Newport is also a great town for exploring and finding good places to eat out. Had a great time.

The Seacliff Cottage is a complete gem and the Ocean Views are nothing short of fabulous! We booked three nights at the last minute and are so glad we did. We especially love the Pet Friendly aspect and so did our two dogs. We became quick fans of this wonder cottage by the sea that we came home the same week and booked our Spring vacation in 2010 at the cottage.

Seacliff Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was charming, comfortable, clean and accommodating in every way. It was a delightful way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! This oceanfront house is darling and well equipped. Nicer than the photos. Looking at the beach upon waking each morning was exciting, and watching the sunset in the evening was breathtaking. We stayed for 6 nights and will stay longer next spring. Vicki gave us a warm greeting and follow up phone calls as well. We love this cottage and the surrounding activities.

- We stayed in the beggining of september, this place is not only standing on a beautiful view but is just beautiful inside! We felt very comfortable and luxurious. Our extended family loved staying at your property. It was so well equipped with everything that one could want for a coast excusrion. Our dog had a great time running on the beach and we loved the secure yard. The sunsets were awesome from the deck and we'd love to visit again.

The Seacliff house is beautiful! Oceanfront with great views!! Right on the beach. Watch sunset from every room or on the deck. The house is thoughtfully stocked with bottled water, snacks, new toothbrush and everything needed for crabs. We had a great time! We'll be back next year and recommend it to all our friends.

The week we spent at Seacliffe was very relaxing. Although the cottage is close to the highway we did not notice the traffic noise. The fenced back yard was a treat for our terrier. The house was very clean, extremely well equipped for anything, the furnishings were just as comfortable as home, the gas barbie was great and the view was spiritually inspiring. The beach is wonderful. The most people we saw in one day was five. Anywone should enjoy this place.
