This two bedroom home is on a corner lot with quiet surroundings and a direct, unrestricted view of the Sandia Mountains and the entirety of the world's longest tram. Five minutes from the Sandia Peak Tram and ten minutes from the Sandia Resort (golf, dining, casino, dancing, entertainment). The Tram is easy access to the "back side" for winter skiing and summer mountain biking. Albuquerque is a very friendly hiking and bicycling community with maps easily available.

Decorated in local color and native art, this is a perfect spot for either creativity or just relaxing. Located in the Sandia foothills just South of Paseo Del Norte and East of Tramway Blvd (Tramway Terrace Blvd, NE 87122).

Why the Owner Chose Albuquerque

When this very unique property came up for sale, we jumped on opportunity. It is an end-unit, surrounded by natural and mature landscaping on 3 sides. Purchased from original owners who maintained and updated property well. We have enjoyed customizing it with original and hand-made Southwest furniture and artwork.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Sandia Heights epitomizes all the benefits of living in New Mexico. High altitude with pure air, stargazing, city views and mountain views, High Desert natural landscaping (everygreens and cacti). And extraodinary views of Sandia Mountain and The Tram from the large picture window inside. And panoramic views outside from the cozy, but unobstructed courtyard, that extends into extensive "open space" and park areas.

We live in a larger, multi-level home in Sandia Heights North. It is like coming home to a "Resort" every night. We love this area so much, that we wanted to secure property for the future---a one-level, smaller and cozier home; but still wanted the great views.

    • We were fortunate to stay at this great home during Balloon Fiesta 2009. The home has wonderful views of the Sandia Mountains, loads of privacy, and the location is perfect. The home is extremely clean, very tastefully decorated with a focus on the Southwest, and all the touches that make it a home versus just a rental house. The owners are incredible and it is evident they want your stay in Albuquerque to be the best possible. They even called to welcome us and answer any questions since they were not in town during our stay. Extremely kind and generous people! We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a high quality, comfortable and private place when visiting Albuquerque.

    • My wife and I stayed at this property in mid-September. The house has incredible views of the Sandia Mountains and gives the illusion of being very secluded (you cannot see any other houses from the backyard which is where the views are), yet it is possible to walk to CVS Pharmacy, for example. As was written in reviews from others, the house is very clean, comfortable, and easily accessible to other parts of Albuquerque because of its location near Tramway Boulevard and Paseo del Norte. What really made this property special, though, was the warmth and hospitality of the owners. The only problem with this property is that it is very difficult to leave.

    • This house made our vacation! It is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and extremely comfortable. The location is terrific- it is very easy to get anywhere in the city from the house; and it was a pleasure to return to after a day out. We would recommend it to anyone whose travels take them to Albuquerque.
