This has been one of the best times of our lives! It was already great being able to see my daughter become a Marine, but Chuck and Brenda made our time with her extraordinary! This house is the perfect family place: on the water with lovely views, clean, and the best part is it has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! I mean it, anytime someone said "I need a..." it was there. My husband the entire house was like Felix the cats bag of magic tricks, LOL. I had to agree. Never have we stayed someplace with such gracious, accomodating hosts and in such a beautiful area. What a perfect time - we will never forget this adventure. God Bless Chuck andBrenda Stauffer.

I don’t think I can put into words how great this place is and how gracious the owners are. Me and a few friends come to Beaufort every year for an annual event, and by far this years was the best in 10 years. The owners will work with you to ensure you feel at home and have everything you need to be comfortable. The beautiful views of the Beaufort sound are incredible. Very secluded, spacious house, horseshoe pits, fire pit (with supplied wood)... everything you would need for a great time with family and friends. I would highly recommend this property for your vacation, graduation or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Brenda and Chuck were so easy to deal with. They made our stay so stress-free and easy. We took our Marine back to the house after Graduation on Friday and relaxed an extra day. The home was clean, roomy and beautiful. The lot is private and roomy and our party enjoyed the hot tub, pool and grounds! This home is located LITERALLY less than 5 miles from the main gate of Parris Island. We were happy to add our sons picture to the long line of Marines and their families they have hosted and made their stay easy and comfortable. THANK YOU THANK YOU! I would recommend this home 100%! When we left, they gave us the Marine Flag to present to our son as a graduation congratulations! If you need a lot of room and a great place, this is it! Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed staying at the Ooh Rah House. We were there for our Son's Marine Graduation at PI. The house is really close to base and very easy to navigate between the two. It is literally one road from the PI Gateway. We loved all the personality in the house! They have it wonderfully decorated with lots of sleeping room. The kids loved the hottub and the pool! There is a ton of outdoor seating and it is very private. We especially loved the bonfire area. The house was stocked with whatever we needed. My son requested brownies for Family Day and they had all the cooking utensils I needed. We were very touched by Chuck and Brenda's love for the Marine Corps. They let us check in early and they brought a Marine Corps flag over and put it on the flagpole for our son. They then told us to take it with us that it was a gift for him. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this home to anyone going down for a PI graduation.

We had a wonderful 4 days at this great place. Our family of 7 plus our son's three best friend's and another former Marine all fit into this great place. We enjoyed the hot tub, horse shoes, grill and oyster roaster. We were so comfortable, Chuck and Brenda had everything we needed for our 8 month old. They had all the info to help us enjoy our family day and graduation. The basket on the table was labeled for your picnic at Elliott's beach. I grabbed it as and after thought and it had everything I didn't think of including a tablecloth. This is the place for Marine families. I just hope its still for rent when my next two son's graduate Parris Island. -- Frank and Rhonda

This is the perfect location to stay for graduation from Parris Island! The house and grounds are amazing! The house was very clean and has everything you'll need, just buy your own food and you're ready for a wonderful stay! The owner even set up a bon fire for us ~ we weren't expecting that! This is a very nice home, very spacious, and comfortable. The price was much more reasonable than staying in several hotel rooms. The owners are very nice and extremely accommodating. I think they went above and beyond what anyone would expect. Even as far as hanging a Marine flag on the flag pole in honor of my son's graduation. And to top that off, the flag was actually a gift to my son! If we ever plan a stay in that area again, we will definitely stay there. I highly recommend it!

I searched endlessly for the perfect rental home to bring my new Marine to after graduation on 12/2/11. I'm pleased to say this was it! Chuck definitely has experience with recruit families and makes you feel at ease and is very informative to all the activities. There was 7 of us and we had plenty of room. The 1st floor bedroom was ideal for my inlaws as they don't get around so easy. The study was great for my other kids who also had to study for finals. It was a very warm, cozy home and we fit right in as it was our own.The yard was beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. It reminded me of the home I grew up in. EVERYONE of us agreed it was PERFECT! Not so easy when there are 7 of you. There was a binder on the kitchen table that had all kinds of info to prepare us for the 2 days of grad.and places to eat. Chuck also was very helpful and even had a wheelchair we could borrow which took out the stress of having to get 1 on PI. Location was great too! Easy to get to PI, Dtwn Beaufort and the beautiful Hunting Island State Park. I'm so glad we stayed 1 extra day after graduation and would highly recommend that.Even though my son was anxious to get home and see all his buddies, he even said what a great idea it was to stay 1 extra day and just be with family. He told us story after story and enjoyed relaxing here. He especially made use of the hot tub! Thanks again Chuck for your hospitality, sending us our new Marine mug we left and gifting my son his 1st Marine flag that he proudly displays in his room. What a nice touch:)

Chuck, Would like to thank you from the tbottom of our hearts for making the last 4 days a wonderful and enjoyable experience. We were truly blessed to be able to stay in your home when our son graduated from Parris Island on November 23rd, 2011. We could not have asked for better accomodations and southern hospitality. 8 of us stayed in the house but it could have easily slept 12-13 comfortably. Thank you Again for a wonderful time. Hope to get back down that way again some day!

This home of Brenda & Chuck's is fantastic! We hosted a large rehearsal dinner on the beautiful grounds and we could not have asked for anything more. The grounds are beautiful and the house is great. Brenda was a great help during our dinner party. The boys had plenty of room for the horseshoe game and the kids had plenty of room to run and play. The house is all you could ask for and more! WE had 9 people for the week and had plenty of linens and space. The kitchen is fully stocked with the important things (coffee maker, ice maker, condiments, and a high chair for our granddaughter etc) It really made our trip enjoyable to have the large yard to spread out in. The view in the AM with your coffee in hand while sitting on the swings was breath taking. Truly a great place for a family to stay. Centrally located is also a plus Thanks a million Brenda and Chuck!

Highly recommend this home!! Chuck and Brenda were awesome; to say the least. We had our daughter’s wedding here, very beautiful setting for the event. Our daughter had mentioned to Chuck about wanting an arch for the ceremony, Chuck built one for her! Thank you SO much for doing that! During our stay we spent many hours outside enjoying the tidal views, playing horseshoes, swimming, enjoying the hot tub. Chuck was always available to us if we needed anything. This home is just as it is described. Kitchen was well stocked! Plentiful linens! Very clean home!! For a memorable stay in Beaufort rent this property…you WILL NOT be disappointed! Again, Thank you Chuck and Brenda!!

What an amazing week we just spent at the lovely Parris Island Spa and Health Club! At least that's what we should call Chuck's place:) We stayed Mon-Sat for my Marine's graduation (5/13/11, 3rd BN, India Co, PLT 3037 ooh rah!) and what a wonderful time we had. Relaxing, peaceful, quiet, comfortable....all great words to describe the beautiful home that Chuck and Brenda offer to their guests. We couldn't have asked for more. The furnishings and amenities made us feel right at home--as did Chuck's helpful tips for how/what to do for Family Day and Graduation. Call and ask questions, get ideas about how to spend your time on PI. Highly recommend a picnic at Elliott Beach for Family Day. Could have packed our own, but instead got Big Joe's BBQ to deliver a meal for 12 and fit for a king! Also had them prepare Low Country Boil for Thursday night...delicious!!! Friday after graduation, all 18 of us went back to "the house" for a great celebration complete with "game day" treats like wings, ribs, dips, etc. Have to say the marshland views from the house and yard are breathtaking. Swings, tables/chairs/umbrellas, rockers...all nice touches that make sitting outside and visiting with family/friends so enjoyable. Throw in the hot tub, ice machine, coolers, wifi and so many other nice touches...it was a vacation to remember. Will definitely check Chuck's calendar and try to get back over for a time of R & R real soon. Thanks, again, Chuck for the gracious hospitality and all the info/input that made our PI week one to remember. Your respect for the Corps and your servant's heart meant so much. Your VRBO + God's blessings = one very special week. You're the best!

An excellent place to stay! We just returned from our new Marine's graduation and took about 20 folks with us! We put 15 of them in this place and were very comfortable! Here's what we really liked about it...great backyard for socializing with the family and friends; house felt like home and not like a museum; easy-to-use WI-FI internet service; HOT TUB!; smoker and gas grill that can cook a ton of food!'; owners are wonderful folks that are better than any conceirge you'll ever meet!; the sunroom is a great place for the family to relax and catch up!; owner flies the Marine and U.S. flags and gives your new Marine the USMC flag after graduation; it's VERY close and convenient to the Parris Island gate (less than 5 minutes!) and this is VERY important when you're trying to get lots of folks ready in the morning and over to the base!; the bedding is VERY comfortable! (in fact, the King bed in the master suite is UNREAL!; there is PLENTY of outside seating with umbrella tables everywhere which invites your party to spend time together as they catch up with their new Marine; and I'm going to say it again...the owners are so appreciative of new Marines and their families and they are wonderfully easy to work with! Also...if you have folks staying at other locations, this place makes a very convenient meeting place with ample parking and very easy to find location that is on the main route to the Parris Island gate. I can't say enough great things about this place and its owners! We felt like we had new family members when we left! And it brought a tear to my eye to see him present that Marine flag to my son after he had spent 13 grueling weeks on Parris Island!

Don't look any further for a rental home! This was the most charming and comfortable home and was perfect for our son's graduation at Parris Island. We had two families staying here and we were all very comfortable. The owners are fantastic and the grounds are beautiful. Needless to say travelling is tiring and those extremely early morning on Parris Island are too. We all felt like we were returning home after a long day. It is the most tranquil relaxing way to travel and experience the area. The listing and pictures are very accurate and the owners couldn not have been more helpful and welcoming. When we returned to our home in Michigan my new Marine said that he was glad we stay here instead of a hotel. Don't rush to get home if you can. We stayed an extra day and I wish it were more!

We spent the month of January this year and really enjoyed the property. It is secluded and quiet but close to everything. You don't even know you are in the city. We enjoyed the tidal flats and birds that came there and spent most of our time in the South Carolina room because it was so bright. The area has so much to offer to see you almost need a month to enjoy it. We just learned so much history and our little dog enjoyed seeing the two little dogs on the property. Ask Chuck about places to eat because we found some bad places but the good one's were Bricks on Boundry, 11th street Grill and Barbara Jeans. You cannot go wrong with any of those. Finally at the end of the day, the King bed is just the greatest... I looked forward to going to bed. In case I didn't say it, we had a good time.
Owner response:We really enjoyed having Al and his lovely wife Nina and and their little daughter "Lucy" stay in our home and we look forward to having them stay with us again in the future. We appreciate the thoughtful comments they made of our home and hope they take advantage of our %15 discount we offer our returning guest. VRBO is lucky to have repeat guest such as these who patronize the various properties. Thank you again Al, Nina, and little "Lucy" for staying with us.

First, let me tell EVERYONE that if you have a son/daughter graduating from PI and are looking for the PERFECT place, "LOOK NO FURTHER!" This is the perfect home for up to 12 people and is so close to EVERYTHING that it seems like almost a crime! This home is exactly that - A HOME! It is a beautiful, relaxing and PATRIOTIC place to bring your new graduate! Chuck and Brenda have created the perfect Graduation Home for families and their graduates! With their home sitting right on the water on almost 1 acre of land, it's the perfect setting for the New Marines to chill out, relax and regroup from the previous 3 months of training! First driving in, you see the American flag with the USMC Flag flying in the front yard! You then see the front porch and jacuzzi. Walk back to the backyard and you see the bistro tables and chairs, horseshoe pit, fire pit and BBQ area. The GLASSED-IN porch on the back is wonderful! The office has free Wi-Fi and connectivity for all your own computers in addition to chuck having a guest computer available for use! They are just amazing! Good southern hospitality and patriotism is what you will find here! We had a BBQ party after graduation for our newest Marine for 30+ Marines and Family/friends - it was just perfect. Our daughter, PFC Megan P of Plt 4030, N Co, was blown away by everything that this home had to offer! After 3 months of boots and no comforts of home, this "Ooh-Rah House" was the best place for her to regroup and visit with family/friends and fellow Marines! The price - WOW - the deals here are unmatched ANYWHERE! If you are trying to find a place for your family to stay for your son/daughter's graduation, LOOK NO FURTHER! This is it! We have 1 more of our kids heading to bootcamp in 1.5 years and THIS is where we will be staying 100%! Chuck and Brenda feel more like family than a realtor/landlord! They are the best of what America is all about! Absolutely the best! Semper Fidelis, Chuck and Brenda from the Holcomb clan from Pensacola, Florida! We LOVED our stay at your home! Thank you for EVERYTHING!
