    • We enjoyed 4 wonderful days here in August 2009. The cabin is cozy, quiet, comfortable and perfect for a family or group of friends looking for a get away and some serious board games. For those who like to climb 14ers, there is a pick of more than a half dozen within an hour's drive, including Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak. For rafters, the Arkansas River is a 10 minute drive away. Buena Vista is a small but lively town with lots to offer.

    • I really liked the cabin which was tucked away but still close to the city center. The arrangement was good and the cabin had a vintage feel to it. I felt my stay was pretty comfortable and I did not have any issues. The owner is very easy to work with and responds quickly to emails etc.

    • Really loved the cabin interior. The knotty pine throughout is so cozy and the lilliputian bunkroom is an 11-year-old kid's dream! In fact, we've stayed in lots of vrbo rentals and this one probably had top sleeping quarters of all! Super convenient to BV, hiking, and great dirtbiking. Great place!

    • Awesome place! Very relaxing and cozy. The beds are very comfortable; every type of cookware that you might need is there, along with all manner of spices and so forth. The back deck is fantastic -- great view and just so peaceful and beautiful. We'll definitely be back!

    • We stayed here with friends when riding in the Buena Vista Bike Fest in late May 2009. Great cabin. The kitchen, dining and living areas accomodated our group of 5 adults very comfortably. Bedding was of very good quality for a good night of rest. The kitchen was fully stocked. The location was peaceful, and the back deck was a great place to sit quietly in the sun. We would definately stay there again.

    • My wife and I stayed here for three days in early March 2009 with our 2 year old daughter. The cabin was well stocked with all of the essentials for cooking including pots, pans, spices, and condiments. There were plenty of toys for our daughter to play with, and board games for the adults. The cabin was close to skiing in Monarch and soaking in Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, which we enjoyed as well as lunch and shopping in Salida. Buena Vista is a 10 minute drive which met our needs for groceries, drinks and dining. The cabin is surrounded by gorgeous scenery and we saw plenty of wildlife come through the backyard. Lastly, the owners were friendly and able to help us with dining and recreational recommendations. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as a wonderful and relaxing getaway.

    • Great location - we took our sleds up and my boys sled down the hill in the back of the house for hours. The cabin is really close to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and town. There is a great fireplace in the family room. We watched the deer come right up to the house from the family room window. We will be back!!
