    We came to St Augustine for my son's graduation from Flagler and needed space for a lot of family and friends. We had two families; both with adult married children, adult children and two 9 month olds. There was plenty of room in the main house for all. The house has that homey feel like you are just staying at a favorite grandmother’s instead of actually renting. Kitty, the property owner, provided an extra pack n play for us so my daughter didn't have to bring either of hers. Terry, the onsite manager was readily available and checked with us as our family trickled in throughout the week to see if we needed anything additional. The front porch is full of chairs and rockers and great for sitting. My son loved sitting there because the street is traveled by students walking over from dorms and I think he always had someone walking up and sitting to talk. In the evenings his friends came over to sit on the front porch too. I didn’t realize how popular a front porch could be to the college age. The kitchen is well stocked. I fed groups of college students who came for supper every night and was also able to have a graduation party with a hot dog bar without having to purchase anything but food and paper plates. A total of about 40 people came through during the afternoon and not at anytime were we crowded. It was even raining outside so we were confined to the house and porch. The location is fantastic! It is a nice walk to the historic area and there are plenty of bikes provided for riding too. There are even a couple of trolley stops within about a block from the house. The public beach on Anastasia Island is about a 10 minute drive. I left trying to think of an excuse to book the house again even if I don’t have a large party to house!

    We rented the house for family members to stay to attend a wedding in St. Augustine, and it worked out perfectly for us. We found the home clean, well stocked with linens, towels, and other supplies. We loved the neighborhood, and were able to walk to many locations for sightseeing, restaurants, activities, etc., which was very handy. It was great to have everyone gather in the main house for breakfast, an occasional meal, and games at night. Having computers available was beneficial also. We stayed for five nights, and a good time was had by all. With the washer and dryer so handy, we were happy to do a few loads of towels and linens before we left to help staff get ready for the next guests. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    This home is in a great location. A few blocks away from all the sights in a quiet and quiant street. The owners were very helpful and attentive. Like all the reviews say, it is well stocked with plenty of linen and towels. Great for several families to gather in the kitchen/den area and the porch outside with rocking chairs to sit around and share some good times.

    From the moment we walked in we knew this was the perfect house to accomadate our 15 relatives that came to St. Augustine for our son's and daughter in law's wedding! The large kitchen (the normal gathering room) and long dining table was super stocked with all the convienences of home. Plenty of sheets and towels! While it was 90 degrees outside, it remained nice and comfy inside all the time. Comfortable beds too! The upstairs apartments come with a good size kitchen and are perfect for couples with kids. What we enjoyed the most---the wrap around porches both upstairs and down! The owner and her staff made sure our every need was met---GREAT FOLKS! We enjoyed Oviedo Street as it plays host to many college students either living on the same street or just walking down it to their nearby classes. Quite interesting some days! If your hesitating on this rental property, dont! We know we will be back!

    Our family recently had a reunion in St. Augustine and found this large house that offered two integrated apartments. This arrangement allowed each family to have privacy but still gave the option of collective gathering. There are many sleeping spaces and each has a private bathroom. This historic house has both charm and modern conveniences. It is well supplied with everything a visitor needs.

    Four teachers stayed here to attend a conference at Flagler College. The location of the house is perfect--we walked the few blocks to Flagler and a bit more to explore historic St. Augustine. We didn't use our cars at all the entire stay. We loved that we each had our own space, own bathroom, and could hang out and work in the huge kitchen main living area. We also liked the family photos/story and that there were real books and kitchen appliances. We saved a fortune by cooking breakfast & dinner in. :) All four of us are planning family vacations (and a return trip whether we attend the conference or not). Relaxing. Lovely. Perfect.

    We had a great time at the Oveido House for my husband's birthday weekend. The house was in a perfect location, walking distance to everything downtown. There were plenty of rooms to accommodate all of the guests. The owner, Kitty, and property manager were a great help! Perfect spot for a vacation!!

    We booked the Dakota Suite within the larger Oviedo House. What a great place to stay in St. Augustine and it’s an easy walk to the historic, picturesque downtown. We enjoyed the comforts of home with everything one would need - even a computer! The weather was perfect during our stay (75-80 degrees) so we took advantage of the front porch balcony by having wine and cheese outside while soft breezes periodically reminded us that we were basically surrounded by water. When I discovered that we could have a suite near downtown at less than the cost of the Best Western I jumped at the chance and wasn’t disappointed. We were in a one bedroom suite that had a fully equipped kitchen and small living room. My husband and I especially loved the very soft comfy king bed. The property manager was so helpful with great recommendations on places to eat and thorough knowledge of the area. We totally enjoyed our stay.

    Home was as advertised. A pleasant old family homestead. Owners were kind enough to make bikes available to the teens, as well as decorate for Christmas. Located a couple of blocks from trolley stops, as well as a ten minute walk from the historic/tourist district. We liked sitting out on the front porch in the morning. Fit our large family group of nine. We enjoyed our stay.

    We selected this house for our family's stay in St. Augustine for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The owner had a cheerful flower arrangement with a lovely card for my parents upon our arrival. The house was spacious for our 8 guests. It was clean, warmly decorated, with family pictures on the wall, loads of interesting books to read, games, cozy chairs and fireplaces. We all instantly felt like we were part of the owner's family during our stay. It was far better than any of the local bed and breakfasts we had stayed at in prior years. The kitchen was well equipped with all the things you need to make yourself at home cooking and baking, and even recipe books, should you wish to forgoe the St. Augustine potpourri of restaurants. The beds were lovely and comfortable with fluffy pillows and clean sheets. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of towels. It was a nice touch to find some non perishable items in the cupboards, fridge and freezer, and a basket filled with bottled water on the counter, although we had already stocked up at the local Publix all the things we would be needing. The dining table was set with cloth placemats and napkins in rings.. also gave us a warm welcome after the long drive to get there. We also enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch in the coolness of the evenings before going out for more exploring about the town. Everything was just perfect and the only thing we wish we had had was a title to the photos in the hallway of all the family members and the years the photos were taken or where. The house is located very close to many places of interest in the area, especially the San Sebastian Winery, Flagler College, the Lightner Museum, Villa Zorayda, Casa Monica, etc, and all the fun places, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We were only able to stay for 4 days, but we would definitely rent this property again and hopefully it will be for a longer stay next time.

    Our family of 10 stayed at the Oviedo House for our daughter's wedding which was held at the White Room. The house worked out great! The location was within walking distance and the porch and deck was very popular with everyone. The owner has the house well organized and is extremely helpful. We hope to visit again in the future and recommend it to others.
