After breakfast, put on some comfortable clothes or your swimsuit and take a short 10-minute walk or bike ride to the beach. You can walk an 11 mile stretch of the Hilton Head Beach. We like to ride bikes on the beach to Coligny Circle for lunch - just a few glorious miles each way. If you're lucky, you'll see the dolphins playing in the breakwater.
And, since you are on vacation, don't forget to indulge yourself with an afternoon nap...on the beach or back at the Villa. Or, watch a movie on premium cable or blu-ray on the 50' HDTV in the living room.
Our villa is comfortably furnished with 3 Bedrooms and 4 Bathrooms. It's a townhouse-style villa with convenient access and views of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.
We love having 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Visitors comment that the 4th bathroom really adds flexibility. Another great benefit is having a heating and air conditioning unit for every room. That's right! Each bedroom and the living area are controlled by separate units with their own thermostat. We like it cool at night and guests like it warmer. No problem!
It's also great to be able to park right in front of the Villa. No climbing stairs or waiting for the elevator with your suitcases or groceries. And, you can park your bikes right outside the front door. Very convenient.
Our condo is three blocks from the Beach and has a Pool in the complex. The Robert Trent Jones Golf Clubhouse and the Palmetto Dunes Tennis facility with its well maintained clay courts are a short walk away. Residents and visitors alike play golf and tennis year-round in Hilton Head. The Shelter Cove fireworks can be seen from the green in the backyard.

Our recent stay in this villa was a pleasant experience. I have stayed in various plantations on the island over the past 10 years and found this to be a great value for the price. The furnishings are functional and the mechanicals were in great working order. The area is very quiet. We enjoyed the walk to the beach which is typical of many properties in HH. It is very convenient to an on site pool that was never crowded. The property owner is very professional and prompt with information. I would recommend this unit.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Water Oak 28. The condo was clean and furnished adequately for the 6 adults and 4 children, as we expected from the info on VRBO. We liked having the thermostats and bathrooms with each bedroom, as well as the additional bath with shower on the main level. That was used often while children were resting in the bedrooms in the afternoons. We usually rode bikes and liked having the Dunes House access for dropping off items and for the bathroom facilities there. It was not far and we enjoyed the exercise. The owner was helpful with information before our visit and we did not need to contact them during our stay. We enjoyed eating at Marleys and The Sea Shack and visiting Harbour Town and the light house. We would recommend this property to others.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

Everything was as expected. The pictures made the property look a little nicer than it was. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the decor brightened a bit. The kitchen is very basic. Overall, it was clean. We did see a few bugs, but apparently common to HHI. The owner was very helpful and courteous. It is quite a walk to the beach, so I would say most people probably would drive especially carrying chairs, etc.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

This place has almost everything you can ask for in Palmetto Dunes under $1,000. Well-stocked kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and fairly short walk to the ocean. If you're looking for a home-base and not a luxury suite this is a solid option, I'd definitely recommend this place to anybody on a budget.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This is our 2nd year staying at water oak 28 and I can't say enough good. about the place. Our children love it they can't wait too come back.We have been many places but there is a certain peace and serenity about Hilton head.The walk to the beach in the morning with my husband is breathless with gods peace upon us.Everything you need is their.A beutiful equipped condo. Our children and Gods beauty everywhere. I highly recommend this place for the wonderful beach fishing too which we love and lots of places to ride bikes.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This has been our 13th year renting this condo at Water Oak. My grandchildren would not think of going anywhere else for our July 4th week. The Dunes House is a great addition and we all love the beach.. The owners are gracious and extremely accomodating. The condo has always been clean and NO BUGS! Just wish we could stay longer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time in Hilton Head. Your house was perfect to house our children and us. We loved having the pool so close and walk to the beach. We did love the keyless entry so our children could get in without us being there. Your have a wonderful place and we will definitely contact you if should go back. Based on existing review comments, We picked up this villa instead of other villa's which does not have any reviews. Let me start with good things. Owner Kendra and her husband was very helpful and always there when we contact them. They are helpful even to rent us early/Late checkin/Check out. Villa is as what it is described in this website, but reviews comments were not useful. Below are the list of issues we found and informed the owner also. - Water was leaking from the roof because of air conditioning malfunction and we had to clean up the water, we informed owner and they have taken up the issue immediatly to resolve the same. Though living room AC was not working till we leave. - Dead as well as running cockroaches found in the bedrooms. - Utensils were in bad shape and not in usable state without multiple rounds of cleaning. - No thrash bags, laundry detergent kept in the villa. - Lack of utiensils for the grill - No towels found in some rooms, we realized pretty late that it was in dryer and it was wet. - Chairs in patio had some real issues, few shorts were torn because of that. - Hair dryer was not working - There was a vacuum cleaner with full of trash in it, it is not even replaced, every guest pays for clean fee and next guest expects it to be cleaned. - Bed bugs also found in one of the room. If all the issues are taken care then it is good place to stay. However we enjoyed the Hilton head!!!!Owner response: In response to this review. No one wants to go on vacation and have these problems! I am sorry this guest, who we rented to for two nights, at the last minute, at a discounted rate, with early/late check in and out was disappointed with our villa. Yes, the air conditioning unit did drip, because it is turn too low and frozen. Our repairman came over during the stay to address, at cost to us, to tell us it would have to thaw and may drip in the process. Yes, we do occasionally have Palmetto bugs in our villa. We do have a pest control service that comes, and I am glad to hear there were some dead bugs. They are fast little guys and can get in the condo when the doors are open. Palmetto bugs are part of being in the south. We strive to have a well stocked kitchen, and clean accommodations. I have asked our cleaning service/management company to look into these other problems. Finally, bed bugs?! This is the first I have heard this, a month after check out. I wish I would have heard this upon departure, and seen a picture. Our cleaning service has combed our villa, and have not found anything.

About the owner: We currently live in Nashville, TN and get to Hilton Head as often as we can. We found that every time we were planning a vacation, Hilton Head was the only place we wanted to go. We knew we could count on being able to relax and enjoy our time away. It just made sense to invest in Hilton Head for the long-term.
Why the Owner Chose Water Oak Villas:
One of our criteria for owning a property was that it be walking distance to the beach. There are lots of options for high rise proprties but the 'apartment' style didn't appeal to us. There are other condo options but few are what I would consider 'flip flop' distance to the beach. That's where Water Oak Villas comes in...it's a quiet and tranquil 10 minute walk to the beach. If you think I'm underestimating it, just ask for the link to a video I made while walking from the Villa the the beach. The condo is very spacious and, while it is an older property, it has aged very well.
