TAPING OF THE SHOW OCCURRED IN OCTOBER, 2007, WITH THE PROGRAM BEING AIRED THE WEEK OF JUNE 16TH 2008....SO IF YOU DECIDE TO STAY HERE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE WHERE YOU STAYED ON THE TELEVISION SHOW! It was definitely our favorite of the 4 places we stayed on the Big Island this trip. The view, the waves, the peacefulness, the proximity to such beautiful places - wow! We even liked the fact that it rained briefly a few of the mornings so we could sleep in and relax a bit! The house was so comfortable with all the details thought of! And now you have 2 boogie boards in your storage shed for guests to use since we won't need them in Colorado!....Mahalo"
MARTINI POND, which is a tidal pool in your front yard, has geothermally, volcanic heated water flowing into it and it mixes with the ocean water for a soothing blend that you will feel wash over you as you swim in this unique ocean pond!
We pay attention to your every need, with beautiful Polynesian decor, bamboo ceiling, granite kitchen counters, and shoji doors. A honeymoon delight or a place to rejuvenate oneself. An ideal place for snorkeling in the many lava tidal pools as Vacationland is now a Marine Fish Reserve. Spend time in Martini Pond for your daily dip, shower off, and then go for a ride on bicycles available at the house into a neighborhood that is like a botanical garden filled with flowers, tress, and foliage. A recent guest told us it is like being in the movie Jurrasic Park! During whale season, November through April, you can hear their tails flap from your deck.

Take a day trip to Volcano National Park or spend the day in Hilo. Be sure to enjoy the local cuisine in Pahoa, just 8 miles away.
