LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS:
Janus Guest House just about a ten minute drive from downtown and is convenient to just about everything including the Space Needle and Pike Place Market! Looking for outdoor fun in the snow? Snoqualmie Pass is just a 45 minute drive away! The fabulous Woodland Park Zoo is a five minute drive or a 15 minute bus ride away from the house! Two excellent parks, Carkeek Park and Golden Gardens, with trails that lead you to the Puget Sound, are just five minutes away.
Janus Guest House is located ten blocks from the heart of downtown Greenwood where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, retail therapy, and coffee shops. Popular and charming Fremont and Ballard are a 5-8 minute drive south or west of the house.
UPON WALKING IN:
Inside Janus Guest House, you will find wonderfully spacious vaulted ceilings with recessed lighting and an open floor plan. There are bamboo hardwood floors throughout. The living room features refurbished vintage modern furnishings, original artwork, cable television, and French doors that lead out to a huge furnished deck (gourmet gas grill included!).
All told, the house is about 1100sf and has a mother-in-law apartment attached to the back of the house where long term tenants live.
MASTER BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS:
Upon entering the master bedroom, you will be met with spacious vaulted ceilings, recessed lighting, and bamboo hardwood floors. To your left you will see a king size bed covered in Egyptian cotton sheets and a soft and beautiful comforter, bringing warmth and comfort to the room. The bed is flanked by vintage walnut nightstands, each topped with a silver lamp. A huge vintage modern bamboo and teak wardrobe and tastefully elegant furnishings complete the room. In the reading nook, you will find a comfortable lounge chair and side table in front of beautiful curtains.
SECOND BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS:
The second bedroom, also with bamboo hardwood floors, has a full size bed covered in a wool herringbone comforter over Egyptian cotton sheets. A vintage modern rocking chair both decorates and adds function to the room.
KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS:
The kitchen has been recently updated with granite countertops, a gourmet stainless gas range, bottom mount refrigerator, and ultra-quiet dishwasher. The cabinets are stocked with dishes, glassware, cookware, and silverware. You will also find a microwave and toaster. For your convenience, there is a starter supply of baking goods and spices.
