We where meeting for our annual leadership retreat for our church, there where 11 of us, and this home was awesome! great place for meetings, and to enjoy the view! really wonderful home! we even used the piano. the Kitchen seems small, but worked fine. the rooms are cute, and have charm, the beds are very comfy, we had no complaints. The butler is a hit with the guests, many took pictures of him. The bbq worked great, the table was large enough for all of us to sit and enjoy meals, the house really was wonderful!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house was wonderful. There were twelve of us. Lots of rooms to explore, large table where we could all eat together. One of our members played the piano for us. We played games, did a jigsaw puzzle, cooked, laughed a lot, walked on the beach and shopped. It was a perfect getaway. We came from 8 states and have been friends for 60+ years.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks SO much for taking the time to post this review. What a beautiful group of women in your circle. Can't imagine you go back 60 years!

Our family reunion at Sea Haven in Oceanside, Oregon was a huge success. We gathered together from Rhode Island, Florida, Michigan and Oregon to stay for a week of fun at this beautiful home on the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The lovely panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, three Arch Rocks and the spectacular sunsets will linger in our memories. The great Oregon beaches and beautiful three capes: Kiwanda, Lookout, and Mears, along with their treasures of rocks, shells, and driftwood were especially appreciated by all. Natures abundance of sea creatures: birds, fish, seals, and wild flowers were very special. It was facinating to see miles of small sea birds moving north in the water just off shore. It was fun to watch our fishermen, and lady from the deck of Sea Haven and from the cliff bank north of Oceanside. Their chartered boat out of Garibaldi with expert guides supplied our group with plenty of fish and crab. Evenings spent on the deck listening to our musical trro of a guitarist and vocalists perform and watching the beautiful full moon and stars was a treat. Many of the fifteen in our group watched the XXX Olimpics from London on the large TV screen and the ladies liked relaxing on the "fainting couch" in the lovely livingrom. The cooks in the family especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen and we all enjoyed the many great meals served in the dinning room where we could eat together and share the various exploits of the day. Nighttime found us all retiring to our own well appointed bedrooms to rest up for another eventful day. We ventured south along the coast to Agate Beach, Depoe Bay, Lincoln City, Pacific City, Netarts and north to Garibaldi and Tillimook. We can recommend these restaraunts: The Rave in Depoe Bay, Mo's in Lincoln City, The Gradeful Bread and The Pelican Pub in Pacific City, The Schooner in Netarts, and Roseanne's in Oceanside. The Tillimook Cheese Factory was fun and we can all reccomend their ice cream and sharp Cheddar cheese. Sea Haven fullfilled all our expectaions and was every bit as much fun as our first reunion as a family on Block Island, off the coast of Rhode Island. We will reccoment Sea Haven to friends, and in fact have already done so. Thanks to Pam and Mike for such a comfortable home and successful reunion.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family just celebrated our mothers' 85th birthday and had a wonderful time. The property was as described. We loved the many private spaces, game room and books. The owner was very hospitable and even had that extra tank of propane for BBQing on a cold rainy day. Excellent place for families and friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Large nicely furnished beach front rental house. It is accurately described and the pictures depict it well. Many bedrooms (some secluded). Downstairs "recreation rooms" well used by our children and thus not underfood allof the time. Appliances, etc. all work as described. Many bookcases full of interesting books. Many high quality features and furniture. Short drive to beach. To Tillamook a moderate short drive. Owner coperative. After vacvating, we got full Security Deposit returned to us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This house is great!!! It has everything you need plus more. We had a large group and it was great to have a room for each of the 6 couple and even the kids had beds to sleep on. The kitchen has everything you may need. It was fun to go down to the beach in the morning and see the tide pools. We saw a 20 arm star fish. It was wonderful to go out each evening on the deck and watch the ocean as the sun went down. Pam the owner was great. We talked with Pam several times before we got there and when we came accross a problem and she took care of it the day we called. Everything was clean and well maintained. As my son put it on the way home, "Why can't we live there forever?" I know we will be returning here on our next trip to the Oregon Coast.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Reviews like yours, Liz, warm my heart. I love to read the remarks kids write in the Guest Book, too. The Sea Haven is usually a real hit with kids - particularly from 10 through teen years. Thanks for your booking. Hope you become one of our regulars.

We found the Sea Haven over a year ago and thought it would be great for our Oceanside destination wedding & reception - turns out, it was PERFECT! Friends from the East Coast stayed at the house, plenty of room for everyone, quiet enough for a 1-yr old to sleep soundly, kitchen big enough (and extremely well stocked) to easily accommodate group dinners of 10-15 AND caterers who fed 30+ for our reception held at the house. The deck overlooking the water was ideal for serving various courses of food and fantastic for sunset pictures, and Michael and Pam couldn't have been more helpful and friendly with our special requests. Their home and their hospitality (as they live in the owners suite connected to the main part of the house) made for the perfect wedding week! I think everyone at the wedding would come back for an anniversary trip!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for booking your wedding in this romantic spot! I think you added good karma to The Sea Haven. For anyone else scheduling a wedding here, we can't accommodate sleeping for more than 25, but a daytime or early evening reception can host up to 50 guests as long as they arrive in no more than 12 vehicles.

We have a large family of 7 children, one daughter was not able to come so there was a bedroom for each family and with the other sleeping areas each grandchild had a space. Having all the bathrooms was wonderful. I e-mailed the owner before renting to see if we could accomadate about 26 and we were told that the law would not allow more than 27, so it worked out perfectly for us. We cooked most of our meals at the house and it worked out very well. It was close enough to many attractions that we enjoy especially the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Also close enough for a nice drive to Newport. The owners are very nice and very accommadating. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank YOU for this glowing report. For anyone reading this, please know that babies are not included in the maximum number allowed. However, your group's stay at The Sea Haven would be most comfortable with no more than 15 adults. At least 10 people would be sleeping on futons, hide-a-beds, and a top bunk, which are great for kids or small adults. Details about the sleeping accommodations are including in the great VRBO website as well as in the virutal tour wildnaturefilmworks.com/seahaven.html

This is a great place for a family reunion. There are lots of private rooms and baths with 2 areas for larger get togethers. We ate many of our meals in, so the 2 kitchens and ample cookware were appreciated. The views from the property are breathtaking. The area offered many opportunities for both the younger and older family members. The beach and fishing are nearby and the home offers a nice setting for family reminiscing. Pam and Mike are the perfect hosts. They were always available and willing to offer their help and answer our questions. Thank you. PatOwner response: We love family reunions. Nothing more heartwarming than to see so many happy loving faces coming and going. People always worry that we can hear their celebrating through the wall, but not so. Our apartment is very soundproof. Outside, however, the local law requires quiet after 10 p.m. Pat, you were so nice to post this review. Thanks so much and please come again.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: Selling real estate, as I have for over 30 years, I am always coming across houses I fall in love with, and this time had the good fortune to buy. The Sea Haven for me is exactly what the name says, a haven & respite from the rigors of a demanding career.
Why the Owner Chose Oceanside:
Oceanside is a picturesque village which is convenient to Portland. The particular site where The Sea Haven is located provides one of the most panoramic views in this area, sweeping from the lights of the village on Maxwell Mountain all the way to Cape Lookout and the mouth of Netarts Bay. High elevation provides a 'birds-eye view.'
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
Oceanside has quiet and secluded sandy beaches, yet it's an easy drive to the touristy hotspots North and South of us on the coast. We have the best of all worlds here. Hang gliders and paragliders frequently launch from Maxwell Mountain, painting the skies overhead with their colorful fancy-free images. Between watching gliders, surfers, whales, sea lions, hummingbirds' fencing, brilliantly sparkling surf and shimmering moondancing on the waves, I could be entertained indefinitely without having to leave my window.
