Our SPACIOUS 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, partial OCEAN VIEW condo is about 150 yards from the ocean. This condo is located in the highly sought after Poipu Sands complex in the Poipu Kai Resort. Our unit is the CLOSEST 1 BEDROOM CONDO TO THE OCEAN. From our lanai and even inside our condo, you will HEAR THE SURF BREAK.
Poipu Sands is situated on 7.5 acres of lush, tropical, well-maintained grounds. Within Poipu Kai, Poipu Sands has the only private tennis court and the largest and only swimming pool which is heated. Poipu Sands condos are the only condos in Poipu Kai with direct beach access (no need to cross a street, no traffic, no cars...just an easy and beautiful path to the beach). Also, our condo is on the ground floor with easy access from the near-by parking and no need to haul luggage or groceries up & down stairs.

  • My wife & I stayed in PS 418 for 5 nights in October 2009. The unit was exactly as described in the VRBO listing. While we did not cook during our stay, the kitchen was well equipped. We did use the refrigerator (& its filtered water dispenser), microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher and they were all functional. Consumable items (paper towels, dishwashing stuff, toilet tissue, plastic trash bags, soap, etc. were all provided. HS internet was as simple as plugging the CAT-5 cable into my laptop. Master bath had a separate lav area with 2 sinks and a doored room with a toilet and large tub/shower combo. Half bath off the living area was convenient and contained a toilet and sink. Everything was clean and well maintained. Pool was very nice. Restaurants we can recommend are Gaylords, Brennecke's Beach Broiler, Keoki's Paradise, and the Bull Shed. We would not hesitate to rent this unit from the Bay's in the future!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in #418. The unit is very comfortable, especially the great bed. Having beach chairs available was a plus as was the proximity to the Hyatt and being able to walk to Poipu Beach. Our favorite part of a hard day at the beach was fixing a mai tai, pulling the deck chairs on to the grass in front of the lanai and watching the sky light up at sunset. Thanks for a very relaxing vacation.

  • This is a great rental property with professional, prompt, and super flexible ownership. The condo and complex is precisely as described. The location you literally cannot beat for the price anywhere we found on Kauai. If available, my recommendation is stop searching and book this one now.

  • This is the first time that we have used VRBO. I was skeptical at first but found it to be a great way to rent a condo. The owner's posting is very accurate. This is our 3rd stay in Poipu and we found this location to be the best. We used the path that meanders through the complex to Poipu beach daily. Nice swimming pool. Loved the ocean sounds. Overall a very relaxing stay. May 7 - 22, 2009.

We walked, swam; then we walked some more--especially in the evenings to glory in the sunsets.   • Dear Bays, Staying at your Condo was like reading a good book. At first we thought (HEY, THIS IS A NICE PLACE)but, the more we unwound the more we realized how REALLY great your place is. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the Condo's location is ideal with a warm and relaxed Island feel along with all the comforts of home. We already miss morning coffee on the Lanai and the sound of the ocean. We've made several trips to Kauai, and POIPU SANDS is now our favorite place to stay. We'll be back....MAHALO.
