Enjoy the beautiful Sierra's in the heart of Bear Valley in this large private home with all the modern comforts.
Spring, summer and fall have hiking, biking, swimming, rock climbing, hunting, boating, tennis, and fishing with golf, antiquing, wine tasting and horsebacking thirty minutes away. It's a ten minute stroll to the beach at Bear Valley Lake for swimming, kayaking and volleyball with a short drive to many lakes in the surrounding wilderness.
In winter, Bear Valley Mountain Resort offers downhill skiing and snowboarding while Bear Valley Cross Country provides groomed trails for cross country skiing and there are lots of areas for sledding. You can ski from the house to the free busses provided by Bear Valley Mountain Resort which will take you 3 miles to the ski hill and then at the end of a beautiful day, you can ski the trails back to the house. The roads in the residential area are not plowed so access is by snowmobile only but the house is within close walking distance to the village where you can find restaurants and shopping. The house is located on the downhill side of the road with an easy entrance onto the main floor. You can also rent snowmobiles from Bear Valley Snowmobile or make arrangements to be taken to your destination.
This 3 story, 3,400 square foot home looks out upon a meadow with a stream that runs through it during the spring. Look through a wall of windows from the comfort of large living spaces including a dining room for 10 + bar stools, gourmet kitchen, living room with a big screen satellite TV and a cozy gas 3 sided fireplace which opens into the "bar" room with a game table and TV.
Additional living space includes a separate bonus room great for movies and perfect for families with children. The home will sleep up to 12 in two master suites with king beds (one master has a two person jetted tub, separate water closet, large glass block shower, TV, huge closet with a washer/dryer and a small loft that has two twin beds). The third bedroom has a queen bed and bath. There is a bonus room that provides a queen sofa bed with it's own bath; the "bar" room has a double futon and drop down shade for privacy and the "mud" room has lots of room for coats, skis, boots, etc. with a single futon for additional sleeping.
Also available is a pack-n-play for babies as well as booster seat, walker and stroller. A second washer/dryer is located in a huge shop next to the bonus room with exterior access.
