  Morro Bay is a halfway location for our family who visited from LA and the Bay area. The house was beautiful and immaculate. We loved the setup of the rooms - the location and the comfort (it is set up for every manner of electronic/computer equipment and features a wonderful sound system that can be accessed from every room). The kitchen was terrific, incredibly stocked with herbs/spices, sharp knives, utensils/storage containers and had enough plates, flatware etc for the 10 of us. Access to the beach, bike path and playground was so easy. Having a warm outside shower made it easy to hose off the children and keep sand out of the house. This is the perfect house for both families with children of all ages and adults/couples who seek a relaxing beach vacation. Hope to return again!!

  We loved this place. Plenty of room and very well stocked. Only thing we needed to bring was the waffle maker and ice cream maker. The house is so beautiful and well laid out. We were told we were 1 mile walking distance from downtown. It was more like 2 but it is such a nice walk and we love to walk so it was fine. Ian and Mary are wonderful to work with.Though it was pricey for me, I would do it again, There is so much to do. One day we went wine tasting, another day shopping in nearby SLO, another day boating. Beach was out our back door! Would definitely recommend Dorn's and the Galley for dinner, and Frankie and Lola's for breakfast.

  We stayed here as a group of four couples for a long weekend and absolutely loved the property. It's spacious with a great main room. The kitchen is well-stocked. All the beds were incredibly comfortable. The ocean view permeates the house and you are steps to the sand. The house also has a great wiring setup which allows you to play music in each room. Every detail is taken care of. Highly recommend it.

  Our family had a spectacular time at this beautiful beach house. The home is well-appointed and wonderfully situated close to the beach. We had great times around the kitchen island and spent our evenings around the outdoor fireplace. It was the nicest rental home we have had the pleasure to enjoy in the Morro Bay area. The bedrooms and private spaces are well-situated, so that we could join together or have our quiet times on our own. The house is close to Morro Bay and Cayucos services, on a drop-dead, gorgeous stretch of beach with Morro Rock at the southern end, perfect for walking.

  I recently stayed here for a weekend away with friends. The house itself is gorgeous - beautifully appointed, really well-stocked, great sound system, and right at the beach.What really detracted from our experience though was the bad property management. When I booked this place, we were going to have 10 people. This property was listed as a 4 bedroom plus attached unit (this has since been changed), and on our contract, I was required to list all the occupants. We were allowed up to 10, and I filled out all 10 names. When we got there though, we discovered there were only 3 bedrooms. When I brought this up to the property manager when checking-in, I showed him the website, and he agreed that the listing was wrong. Our group ended up being only 7 people, but this still left someone without a bedroom. Despite this, we were still very polite, but explained we expected some compensation. When I returned from my stay, I emailed the property manager who I originally corresponded with (different from the person who showed us the house at check-in), explained that the listing was wrong in several places, that we had always indicated there would be 10 people, and that this never would have worked in a 3 bedroom house. He responded that he would refund me xxx for my 2 night stay, and that I should have asked more questions. I find this completely offensive that I was being blamed for not asking more questions when I had firm proof that their ad was completely wrong. I responded back that I didn't feel that this was enough and asked for more compensati. A couple days go by and he tells me that the team discussed it and decided to give me xxx and would send the check that day... which left me confused as to whether they meant an additional refund, or the amount they already agreed to. I felt like the email was intentionally vague and meant to sound as if they were agreeing to giving me more. When I asked for clarification, I was told it was the original amount, nothing more, and never in our correspondance did he admit any guilt for their deceptive ad. I feel like the compensation for a missing bedroom is not at all enough, and I'm very angry the property management had all the power to decide what I should be paying when I never would have booked a 3 bedroom house at that price. On top of this, I waited a week after they said the check had been mailed, then emailed only to find out the check had not even been sent yet.

  My wife and I met her sisters and their families in Morro Bay for the weekend. The house was perfect for three couples and several young children. It includes three bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms (one of which is beyond enormous), modern furnishings and appliances, and (most importantly) a wonderful view of the ocean and beach access right off the back porch. There was also a separate unit attached to the other side of the garage, which we didn't use, but that could easily accommodate another couple or older children. The house came stocked with all sorts of games and recreational toys (surf board, bikes, etc). Overall, a great experience. We'd definitely go back.

  Thank to the Owners and Property rental company for making this place avaiable. The home is very nicely done and the owners have gone out of their way to think so many little details to make it just perfect. The property is in a great location, with amazing views of the ocean and sand dunes. It is 3-5 min walk to the ocean. It is about a 5 min drive into town. It is great for bigger families that need the space. The kitchen is great for when the family is cooking all together, you can easily have 4-5 people in there doing without running into each other. All the pictures posted are accurate. The only thing that disappointed me was the attached unit. You can not get to it from inside the house. So you have to go outside to get to it. There is also only a sofa bed in there with a huge poker table. So we couldn't use it as fourth room as we had hoped. As we were just several couples renting the place. But for your teens, it may just what they need for the space from the family.

  We came to Morro Bay to celebrate my Dad's 80th Birthday. This house exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful with lovely views of the dunes and ocean beyond. You can walk or bike for miles along the trail or on the beach. The beach access is just a few steps directly in front of the house and it is a huge, flat beach....very few people and lots of birds to watch and sand dollers and shells to collect. The gourmet kitchen at the house is a pure pleasure to cook in and it is just about stocked with all of the pots, pans, etc., you need to make a fabulous meal. There is plenty of storage space throughout the house. We all agreed that the beds are very, very comfy and each bedroom has it's own en-suite bath which is a huge plus. The property is very clean and modern. The outdoor firepit was a nice touch, although a few more cushioned chairs would be more welcome than the bench seating. We made it work with the sand chairs from the garage. The real estate agent, Ian Starkie, that handles the property was great and even took the time to take extra pictures of the house before we rented so that I would be satisfied that the outdoor area would be just right for our family. Who does that??? IAN does!! Great customer service. From our base in Morro Bay we enjoyed visiting Cambria (great lunch at the Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill), Viewing the Elephant Seals north of San Simeon...the drive up to Ragged Point and lunch at the restaurant was good. Wine tasting in the Paso Robles area...Jada Winery was a lovely find. We would not hesitate to recommend this home and hope to be back again very soon. Thank you to the owners for sharing your home. You gave us a lovely family vacation! Cheers!

  We rented this property for my father-in-law's 90th birthday celebration. Family came from all over the state of California. The home was very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable an every bedroom had its own bath. The two dishwashers came in very handy with the party an the kitchen was great with 27 people at the party. I especially enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. If I had one wish it would have been to have a better ocean view but you could see the water an hear the waves. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

  We could not have been happier with our stay at the beach house in Morro Bay. The owner and his associate were extremely responsive and everything went very smoothly. Our entire family felt like we were living in the lap of luxury! We hope to make this an annual family birthday event, 3 of us have birthdays the first week of March. It was the perfect meeting place with half of us living in L.A. and half from the Bay Area.
